  1. People complain about bugs but i played the game first time all the way through with some 60 hr playthrough and the game is fine. Silly complaint at this point. If you really intent on playing turn based then maybe wait. If not then the games fine.
  2. Blood mages and psions dont go well together. One is physical the other is mental. Its like a stealthy rogue thats also a brutish barbarian maniac.
  3. Eder in recklass brigadine looks like middle aged dad with a beer gut who put on hawaiian shorts and sandles to mow the lawn sunday morning
  4. Get rid of the dang teleporting puzzles. I wont spoil anything not like anyone cares about that in this forum even the mods who only have a bone for personal attacks and do something every other month. But i been playing in the realm of the winter bull and 2 out of 3 places have the dang teleport puzzles. Its literally the most obnoxious thing. I even loved the rebirthing exploding bomb scenario. Loved the story and map design but jesus faking christ that teleporting with the three times of the day had me in frustration. Just go back and forth between the teleports randomly hoping you got it right. Its not even interesting. Plus you got the change of direction toilet water scenerio thats the same thing albiet not as annoying as the exploding bomb. Winter march 1 was great. Exploring the keep for the first time. One nice long map to explore and slowly uncovering the wonderful story while occasionally fighting monsters. The map design leaves you wondering what happened here. I wish they made more maps letting us uncover a story about that map with more clickable magnifying glass descriptions and interesting map details and less zelda legend of the teleporting flashlights mini puzzles.
  5. I dont believe capture was essential to bounty hunting - wanted dead or alive comes to mind. Then again i wasnt a vigilante in the wild west so maybe members of that profession are different than bounty hunters. I dont think traps need to be damage only. They can be cc or whatever you want. I think whats essential is customization. Its your own mechanical, arcane, natural little baby you constructed from your own designs and it allows for a preparation style of gameplay
  6. I stand by my statement. Rangers are the vigilantes and rogues the mercs. Right about one thing. Dont need to argue it further.
  7. Snipers dont work well with paladins because paladins are front line fighting. Also paladins to not mix with stealth. Good snipers are rog ranger or scout. Rangers are the loner vigilante snipers while rogues are greedy mercenary snipers. Profit vs morality.
  8. Ideal stats are probably 15 int and 15 dex 15 perception with the rest spread wherever. The int for mages and dex perc for their assassin side. They are smart and dexterous but not too specialized since they are jack of trades.
  9. Hunters are great for characters that live in the wilderness and have naturalistic philosophies on life. Their pet makes then great lone wolfs. They make excellent good neutral and good chaotic characters because they live outside civilization and dont follow laws but still have that natural tendency towards helping others and doing whatd right.
  10. That would probably end up as something similar to Tyranny's spell customization system. Interesting idea, but I imagine it would be too much work to implement for a mere subclass. If we're getting separate level up screens, then I think the ranger's pet and the wizard's familiar should probably be first in line. Edit: "Obsidiots", really? Yeah, i originally thoughy of ranger pets. They already need love and already in game but there is no controversy there. Traps have controversy cause devs already stated they hate traps and pre battle strategies. But traps are interesting and i think they are like summons. Devs hate them more than players. Deep down everyone likes summoning huge minions to battle on their behalf.
  11. Lol...the video I had linked actually refutes a lot of what you said...I actually broke the quest in that video in a few ways. Snuck past using distractions (and other legitimate methods i wont disclose) then used lures (spells in this case) to lure an entire group near explosives, killed all but the quest NPC and one of his lackeys with powder kegs (which the developers didn't anticipate the quest NPC surviving) while losing no reputation, then I exited the map and further quest related dialogue assumed I killed the person I left behind (which would make no sense, thus, an outcome the developers didn't prepare for) At least the example you gave about the cultists gave me a chuckle. Lol not really but i know how desperate people are to be right. Basically you are applying a different meaning to alternate path. Which is cool. Not really what i had in mind tho. Your path was exactly the same as if you didnt use stealth. Same path but you walked instead of ran. Other games provide a completely different way of getting to the objective and completing the mission by employing stealth. Stealth opens new doors, literally and figuratively, to completing the quest.
  12. Rogue subclass Bounty hunter trap specialist 1. Making it fun Dont give them a hundred traps they can throw like rice at a wedding. A variety of traps. No. Give them one trap they nurture and customize. They watch it grow. The trap gets mini level up screen where they can increase different characteristics of their trap design. By leveling up their traps they basically choose what it does, more damage, cc, debuff etc and what it specializes in. They chose what to increase and cant have it all. Give them sparkly graphics, explosions and pew sound affects. 2. Traps are ok They reward scouting and planning. They reward stealth game style. Traps are popular mechanic. Now people say they can be abused when gamers have expert know of all the encounters and rest and refill exploits. I say no. Design the traps strength from the ground up based on the assumption the player having a trap up each encounter. Dont balance them on being rare but powerful. Dont balance on limited availability.
  13. Instead of turning transparent and walking slowley, players should crouch down and hide under a cardboard box! The least stealthy act i can think off is setting off firecrackers 25 ft away from devil worshipping cultists in an ancient closed off underground temple where the odds of firecrackers going off at all is zero to none. Nothing screams someone else is here youre not alone than firecrackers out of no where. Gameplay wise i cant even think of what youd accomplish or gain by manipulating enemy NPCs. Theres not much to do with stealth besides those scripted text interactions and scouting. This aint like other games where theres alternate paths or ways of completing the mission.
  14. Should i fire the cannons at benewith or give him the finger. Should i get the beef or chicken. What do u think. Any advice pls.
  15. This board has high hopes I tell you what. Took a lot of aplomb and erudition to finally hammer out that grimiore controversy and now this. Is there anything this board cant do.
  16. Speak for yourselves. I enjoy lots of actives. I hardly ever use some of my mage spells but the 1 to 2 times per play through is worth more than a million passives that dont do interesting sht. Plus, it leaves the option open to use the spell for the f of it. I do this a lot. Plus, passives in this game are lame af. Percentage increases or plus one to something. Passives found in diablo 3 are good examples of interesting passives that impaxt your char in noticable ways. Alter specific skills, timed effects etc. Do people seriously want 1 spell per level? Maybe the real question is Do people seriously cast one spell every time?
  17. Wasnt it literally announced at one point they were literally done after forgotten?
  18. Noway man. The best option for iovara is to stay resolute in her spiritual hole in the ground. She stands by the truth to the end of time. The enwithan gods and thaos should apologize.
