  1. the wizards are represented well. they have all those named wizards like llengrath, concelhaut etc and concelhaut makes in game appearence. does the game ever mention other legendary people of each class. i admit to not being big on the non storyline in game texts you can read. theres a few examples that could be traced to a certain class. lady webb seems like a hot shot cypher. that garodh guy seemed like a tough noble barbarian. i really liked his story but didnt seem like legendary status.
  2. i disagree and hope they keep immunities out. id rather tactics come from my own desire to explore and experiment with skill and spell combinations instead of the game forcing me to change because of arbitrary immunities. if i choose to use the same one spell then thats on the player. the game creators are responsible for opening up the game and variations. immunities restrict options. they prevent the player from using certain tactics. zero immunities opens the game by allowing any tactic the player wants at any time. feel free to think outside the box. why do players need the game to force them? players should take some responsibilty. all the game creators ought to do is give you many tools to use and open up the worlds to let you play with the tools. if you choose the same tool every time then its on you. and if a player wants to use the same tool everytime then let them. i just dont see what benefit comes from arbitrary immunities temporarily forcing you to change tactics.
  3. maneha can be recruited as soon as you clear stalwart.exit through a white march zone and reenter stalwart.
  4. im not saying its a bad thing, but i do think ppl fall in love with replay value. just because something will get old after multiple playthroughs shouldnt be the deciding factor on whether its gets added to the game.
  5. my favoritw is the bard. the expert in lore, literature, song and philosophy appeals to me the most. i like the idea of being the moral compass of the group. honest and benevolent choices. possessing knowledge of particuler things encountered in a dungeon. not the strongest, wisest, cleverest or most skillful, the chanter still provides knowledge a group of powerful adventurers is still going to need to survive.
  6. when i try to load up the game it goes into update mode and stops shorty after telling me i dont have enough disk space. the whole download/update process stops. because of this not enough disk space problem I cant continue on with the update and I cant seem to play while skipping the update. i cant update what ever i need to update. i cant play the game. this is twice now ive had this problem. ive had to reinstall the game to get it to work both times. I'm betting its going to happen again so id like to know if there is a better solution. reinstalling is not a solution.
  7. i always looked at the inns and strkngholds have their own bonus. the group sleeping at the inn is getting the inns bonus. each inn has its own amenaties etc that the whole group shares so they all recieve the same bonus. survival is the individual characters skill. when the group uses supplies to camp, the individual is using his own survival education etc to rest and prepare.
  8. this seems useless. i would prefer more of the choose your own mini adventures they have scattered throughout the game. entering burning houses and choosing who to save or going underwater and selecting a what path to go and the result.
  9. head warden ethelmoer and caed nua steward. they are both home bodies and hate going out. they love architecture they have that youthful soul spirit and physical features that never age. stoic and stone faced personalities. resistance to showing emotional exprrssions. lets make this happen people. need a chanter to help ethelmoer with romance and charm to win over the ladys heart. need a wizard to conjure up delightful shoes and outfit complimenting the ladys figure. need rogue to pay for dinner.
  10. i like the idea of instruments but i dont like the idea. i thought of the chanter in poe as a story teller lore master. it seems different than a bard who focuses on music and singing. so on one hand i dont think instruments fit. on the other hand i like the idea instruments to improve the chanters chants. just using them as weapons seems boring. using and instrument could improve the chant or something.
  11. Maybe im just not as curious as you, but ive always had my questions answered between google searches and the in game help section. If i want a different path spoiled( like whats inside Mordread's box) then i google it. I want to track down crafting ingredient locations I google. ranger hunting bows you get the idea. I think this means we will never see the developers make a 100% accurate strategy guide with heart and soul poured in. The players already have a free, fast and reliable way to find all the info they need.
  12. traps could have been a ranger rogue skill. rangers could have got some nature theme traps and rogue got the mexhanic traps. ranger has wooden spikes and poison leafs and root traps. rogue get the metal hooks, darts and fire bombs. maybe 2-3 different traps for each class that they can use as a skill. some combination of cc, debuff and damage traps. x amount of trap uses per rest. maybe 2-3.
  13. if i remember correctly, in bg2 companions would leave your party if your reputation strayed to from theirs. this has a down side of limiting who you can take along in your journey. if you plan to play evil than that limits you to only evil characters. poe lets you use everyone because no one is lawful evil or lawful good etc. i would think its a trade off.
  14. i tried playing planescape and couldnt even finish. heard all these great things but none of them were true. i like the text, both white and grey,and im not finding the same problems. the longest conversations ive encountered so far, saganis life, durances bomb and the dead old tree lady, did not seem to suffer from a lack of concisisity ( just go with it). each reply option seemed to lead to new information. im really not seeing a problem with concisness here. not trying to start trouble but i play these games to read. i like reading or knowing whats going on. if sagani says she liked my cookies i also like reading the extra grey text telling me she smiled, or half smiled or had a sarcastic eye roll when she said it. different things to different people i guess, but every bit of text doesnt have to reward me or mean something down the road. it ok for it to just be fun meaningless text about a single situation. diablo 2 was different. i didnt care to know every bit of landscape detail or facial expression. this game i do though.
  15. isnt minsc cherry picking? i dont remember other voices being that memorable. they just fit the character. minsc had a great character theme and the voice went well with it. its more like minsc was justa memorable character. sagani just seems down to earth simplistic country type. isnt she from the small hunting village? durance and minsc are high passion. maybe its not interesting or cool but her voice fits.
