  1. Lol Whats so hard to understand? Any time you gain a wound you have a chance at a shockwave. Is english your second language? Seriously sounds like you are the one thats doesnt know.
  2. The winter elfs have options and colors for beards but no bearded portrait. I played but dont remember dragon age. Facial snap shots sounds perfect. Oh wait i do remember. I remember being able to change those facial expressions and im now picturing that warped grin option.
  3. My thoughts? To what exactly? Why you didnt enjoy a second play through? No idea mate. Maybe its you. And i love people jumping at any chance to poke at the same tired complaints. Games not fun why? Because limited spell system. No reply value why? Because limited spell system. My dog threw up why? Because limited spell system.
  4. Omg play the game. Games not perfect but far from unplayable, far from even considering holding out. I played anarchy online at launch. That was s mess worth holding out on. I mean sht, people are so hard on this game and bethesda puts out a buggy hot mess and no one considers holding out on their beloved first born jenky skyrim fall through the ceiling game play. Half the things dude above listed are not even bugs and just ment to inflate his complaints.
  5. Its seems like there are two groups of people:those that make video games for a living and wannabe armchair developers. Its funny to think obsidian is well past this entire thread, already been there done that and finally settled in what they felt best regarding the whole leveling issue. You must set a limit on levels. Levels cant feel hollow so why not cut out all levels where they have no skills planned for the player. Whats the point of reaching a new level if you get nothing besides stat increase? Its a boring, meaningless level. If every level is meaningful then you cant designed for the player to reach it too late or else he misses the fun of using those end game skills.
  6. Theres not an option because its not necessary nor is it important. There doesnt have to be an option for every freakin thing. You wont like everything. I dont like this thing, that thing,a specific voice actor, the color red, ship combat, male npcs, two story buildings, can we pls have a option to turn them off. Jesus chr. Sometimes i feel so bad for obsidian having to listen to people complain and nitpick to hell and back aboit 2 wonderfully enjoyable games.
  7. Keep it. It allows choice. I like the ideas of flexibility and strategic choices it brings.i can empower stealth strikes, heals, ccs or dd all based on current battle situations. Or i can replace ability points to try and save the day with extra skills. Its a fun ability. Period. Im speecjless so many ppl want it gone. Like what is wrong with you. You can empower a single or ability or refresh more ability points. I smh when people insist on keeping supplies over empower. I mean jesus. I got into wow lately and that games combat is so watered down and neutered i freaking fear the same will happen to this wonderful series.
  8. Chill out ace. One game doesn't have to follow the lead of all others. I don't understand how this is a point. Also might is not only bodily strength. There are many great dictionaries you can check out and personally I recommend a quick browse. Might is also power and force to do something. Its literally a definition of the word. This easily explains the effectiness, power and force, of spells. Sorry. You may not like it but that doesn't mean it can't be used to explain damage and healing power. And actually, yes, I've heard the word mighty to describe a person's spirit as in its a strong spirit. That person has a lot of fight in them. It's used like this Because it's a thing. Plus, it's more balanced and good for the game. Why have meaningless stats for certain classes? Character creation in poe2 is great since every stat helps every class. Well there you're wrong bucko. Check out the builds section...how many dump Resolve? It's a classic dump stat despite Obs best efforts. Back on topic - so you're saying that spell casters use spirit as a power source? Last time I checked it was arcane or intellect. So spirit has nothing to do with it. So even in you're own example you're wrong. 99% of RPGs separate physical and spell damage stats. It's an industry standard for a reason. So did you check that dictionary kiddo? You must have found that might is not tied to only physical prowess since you had nothing else to say about might not explaining spell effectiveness. And no, i did not say spirit is used to explain power source. I very clearly stated that i have heard might used to describe none physical strength of a person. The whole argument you used to be making is might doesnt make sense in explaining non physical prowess. I was trying to show it very much can be used to explain non physical prowess since might is not tied to physical related ability only. Real life people use the word might to describe non physical characteristics. Expand your definition to keep up with the rest of us. And you keep throwing industry standard around like rice at a wedding. Its like thingss go in one ear and out the other. It doesnt matter if 99% percent of games do it one way. Might makes perfect sense to control non spell damage. It works. Theres nothing contadictory, lacking, misleading or inaccurate about might governing spell damage. Ive explained this already and chose not to again. Plus, correct me if im wrong, not verde obviously lol but someone else, but those old bg games, with i feel poe is closely tied to, never used int for spell effectiveness. Int never governed spell accuracy or damage or anything about how mighty the spell would be. It let you memorize more spells and learn higher level spells and increased your lore ability. I guess you need to lower than to 97% industry standard?
  9. Lol Isn't bg2 multi classing exactly what poe 2 uses? You advance simultaneously in two classes. Isn't poe series closely tied to bg2. Isn't dual classing in bg2 where you actually stop advancing in class altogether and begin advancing in another? So poe is closely tied to bg2. Poe more than likely used bg2 as the model. Bg2 called it mutliclass. Bg2 came well before grim dawn. I think we are accurately calling it multi class.
  10. I'm torn. I really want to feel bad for you guys but I keep seeing the same scam ran repeatedly. Gamers give all their money to the devs before hand and they end up not getting what they expected. This happens over and over and over and people STILL fall for it then have complaints afterwards. I'm so accustomed to it that I don't feel bad anymore.
  11. Anyone else video card get extra hot while running this game? Many other games do not get my vid card this hot and seems abnormal.

  13. People that complain about difficulty are the loud few. If you read these forums often you might think this was a big deal. People don't post to mention things are fine.
  14. Ah, thanks. Too bad. I always thought it was weird that Might affected Wizards and Fighters alike. There is inner strength as well as physical. Wizard tap into the inner and mental strength. It makes perfect sense, might deals with the power of the ability so a wizard's fireball and fighters sword swing do more damage with might.I wouldn't say it makes perfect sense. I would say it makes zero sense from both an RPG standpoint and an intuitive standpt. No RPG I can think of has mixed physical and arcane power into one attribute. Might is 99% of the time associated with physical strength. Plus how exactly does Might affect healing? It's Stockholm Syndrome - we've grown to accept it because we must, but it's a terribly unintuitive system. Off the top of my head this is how it should be - Mig - phys dmg, fort Con - HP, fort, deflection Dex - reflex, action speed, deflection Per - acc, AoE size, reflex Int - spell dmg and duration, will Res - healing, -hostile effects, +beneficial effects/ability duration, will The fact that Int is this super import attribute for any class with duration abilities is also stupid. Being done one way does not mean it's superior or more reasonable. Might determining damage makes more sense than intellect. Might literally means power and strength. A mighty wizard is a powerful wizard. Conculhaut was a mighty wizard lol. Conculhaut being a mighty wizard leads me to believe he casts powerful spells. People just can't accept new things. What you commonly think of doesn't match the ideas that might actually represents. Might is power not physical power. Again, might refers to power so what difference does it make if it's healing power or damage power? Might refers to power so a powerful xaster will cast powerful healing spells. Might is not limited to destruction. Sounds like you can't help but assign your own meaning to these concepts and ignore their true meaning.

  16. Generating difficulty is easier on fights with set ability usage. You can better plan difficulty knowing what abilities the player has access to each fight. This has been said to death. True challenge can emerge through carefully planned battles. You guys seems to want artificial challenge in the form of supply management mini games.
  17. Couldn't care less about it. I sincerely hope it's on the bottom of their priority list. Rather than trying to balance already existing content for some minority, Please spend resources developing new areas, monsters, story etc and balancing it for us normal players.
  18. Regarding flavor: I would challenge the claim that single class can better capture the theme of a player's character. Adding even the smallest twist to a character begins to bring out multi classing options. The sheer amount of skills pl 7 and down offer so many ways represent your characters role play background. All but the most strict character themes are better covered by single class, like a mage that spent first 45 yrs of his life in a library type of strict. Regarding high tier pl: Sure, single characters get special 8 and 9 spells and skills. My point here is those 8 9 spells better be significantly stronger. I think if those high tier are balanced to meet the power of multi class then it isn't enough. The variety, fun , flexibility and design interest all lean in favor of multi.for single class to be on par with multi in terms of numbers isn't enough. I know people argue 8 and 9 spells are very strong and tbh I have not played all classes and seen how each multi combination compares with All single class. All I argue is that those high tier single class abilities ought to be stronger and not balanced with multi classes.
  19. Often I load into a new screen and the game doesn't let me zoom into the closest distance from my characters. I scrolls my middle mouse button or press the equals key and the game doesn't zoom in to the minimum distance.
  20. Ok hear me out. I think the standard thought is balance the two and try to make their numbers match. One doesn't out damage the other and so on. But: Multi class offers so many more options, playstyles and combinations. Multi allows you to combine so many more skills and spells for a huge variety of play styles. Even if mathematically a single class druid matches a druid/rogue in terms of damage, survivability etc that the variety and options multi classing offers count for something. Also, multi classing offers much more regarding role playing than just simple damage and healing effectiveness. If I'm serious role player, multi class is guaranteed to closely match how I envision my char than single class. This is because combining two different classes can arrive at the combination of skills, spells and flavor that a player envisions. Single classing is much more limited. I admit the less a person cares about role playing the more single class might suffice. But the more a person wants to create a personality and philosophy for their character then i definelty claim that multi will come much closer to the desired match. The more specifics a player adds to their character the more multi classes can come closer to the mark because of the variety and amount of skills. In short, I think numbers and math are not the only thing to consider when it come to balance. Even if multi and single class are on even footing regarding damage, heal, penetration, recovery time etc, multi class still hold advantages over single class. Because of this, single class should receive some other things to make more desirable. A simple example might be subclasses only for single class selections. Unique histories and cultures for singles class. Video games are not only about math when they are labeled rpgs.
  21. I just made a druid, shapeshifter/ assassin, and my druid is changing his shape automatically without my input. ill change into one form and he will turn into a different form automatically before the shifting timer runs out and without me selecting a new form. it seems to change right before my action or auto attack it ready. this is really obnoxious and makes the shifting druid totally unplayable. edit: Ok sorry never mind this. I just figured it out; it was the active AI behavior that appears to be set up by default to change shape shifting forms when enemies are near. This caused my druid to change forms on every cool down. I discovered through numerous testing on the eothasion stuck wagon party.
  22. Rangers little antelope buddy cause he tries so hard, cares so much and most loyal. Goldpack knight only cares about money. Chanters only care about arts and crafts. Antelope friend cares about you. That's the tank I want watching my back.
  23. No thanks. Your idea only makes the game slightly more tedious and frustrating. To each their own I guess, but I do not find resource management mini games fun. Sounds like you are arbitrarily adding resources to manage just for shts and giggles. I like my rpgs to have fun combat and character development. Poe 2 has done a wonderful job at both. Your idea doesn't bring anything positive to either. Poe2 has fun battles that are challenging yet possible. All the resource management is per battle. I have options each battle. I can use my skills and execute my strategy each battle. All my party members have their role and ability to fulfill it each battle. This is fun. Sorry. I love what they've done. Managing my empowers and magic missles over the course of a dungeon is not fun. If the entire game is built around it then sure. Poe2 is not a scavenging survival type game where you use whatever you have on hand. wounds are different story. I somewhat agree that wounds are pointless since you can rest with food anytime you acquire one. However, id much rather they lean on the side of useless and carry on rather than stop everything and return. Until a better solution can be found.
