Old thread, but I've always thought GM felt like a TNG character plopped down in Eora. She feels completely out of place. I usually bring her on just to watch her turn the coward and run when confronted with the truth. Seeing her choose to be a hypocrite makes me smile. I wouldn't dislike her so much if she wasn't made to be the embodiment of a concern troll as a companion.

I hate achievements. I think they're stupid and are usually used to encourage people to play in ways they don't want to.

Well, their secret project is filed under the IP Outer Worlds so that looks to be sci-fi. How far along it is, what is it about, and when it is going to be released is all still unknown. (I think it might be their next game, assuming they don't jump right in and crowdfund POE3 or have another hidden project like Tyranny.)

Obsidian deliberately didn't use race to mean nationality or culture because they wanted Eora to be more cosmopolitan. There is no elven culture, just as there isn't a dwarf, aumaua, orlan, or even human exclusive culture. Heck, godlikes can come from any of the races.

More like the manor of movement is clicking with the mouse instead of WSAD and if you're making a game with mouse click movement its a good idea to move the camera angle out so you can see farther. That said, Melusina, your brother has some weird ideas about genre mesh-ups.

Most video games only have token differences between races (I'm including fantasy and sci-fi). I'm unsure why this particular instance would bother someone.

Is it possible to change the text in a currently existing letter/book in the game? Or can I mod in a completely new one?

They're older so the only thing I expect might be different about them is they're grouchier, not wiser (not to mention ugly and stupid #TeamDwarf).
