  1. Good thing the first thing I do is turn of the steam overlay.
  2. For posterity: Jets will go 6-10, Sam Donald will start no more than seven games, Josh McCown will be gone next off season, and their first round draft pick will be spent on a linemen.
  3. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
  4. There is a pretty large island on the west side of the overworld map with no landing point that is believed to be the eventual location of the arena.
  5. Profit does equal success, but success doesn't always equal quality.
  6. I agree its bad parenting, but not that he should hit her back (I'm old fashioned like that).
  7. Pretty sure Pallagina is never going to like Xoti no matter what, but otherwise it largely depends on what conversations both companions are in the same party for. There are ways to game it, but I haven't actively tried. I just know that in one playthrough Xoti really disliked Serafen and in another she loved the furry little guy.
  8. To be fair he also said that Feargus is constantly teabagging publishers and then high-fiving his friends while twirling his mustache at board meetings where they decide to keep all the money and not pay the staff. He didn't say that. He just artfully implied it.
  9. Seems pretty obvious. As much as I would love Obsidian to get another shot at it, Bethesda has grown a ton, and unless they buy Obsidian, they have little financial reason to outsource such a major IP. Personally, I think they won't risk another team making a better Fallout game again. I think its more of an issue of price tag vs what they think they'll get for it. Obsidian owns 2 IPs (Pillars and Outer Worlds--which no one knows anything about), they have a reputation (that's been diminishing of late due largely to dropping industry standards) of releasing buggy games, and finally they make RPGs which Bethesda Zenimax's main studio already does so there's the chance that they might end up competing with themselves.
  10. StarCraft 1 base game was great.
  11. It's been six years already since PoE1 was first concocted? Kickstarted for POE1 went up on September 14, 2012.
  12. It bothers me to no end how long Bethesda (the developer) has gotten a free pass from the vast majority of mainstream gaming media for their buggy, broken releases and terrible writing. I can only think of one video game developer that mainstream media walks on eggshells around more, and that's Blizzard. CDPR is probably #3 in that category, and I say that as a big fan of CDPR. To be fair, Blizzard usually nails gameplay if nothing else. Bethesda's mostly just got open worlds with stuff to do going for them.
  13. Tried Hollow Knight. 20 minutes in I quit and uninstalled. I hate platformers.
  14. ^Type of lady who would yell at you and then apologize saying her face was tired.
  15. A couple of weeks ago Steam changed the way hyperlinks to a developer/publisher steam page works. Now you have to go through even more pages to find what you're looking for. Thanks, Valve. (Thank goodness for Google.)
  16. Alternate playing styles often lean on consumables (they can be pretty fun, too). There's a really old build in the POE1 sub forum where someone made a scrolls using rogue called the Magician's Apprentice.
  17. I don't like platforming and especially dislike platforming in rpgs.
  18. Aside from Vampyr there hasn't been a good paranormal rpg since VtMB. Just sayin'.
  19. I suspect DLCs are fairly economical to make, so they don't have to have huge sales numbers to generate a decent margin. They could be used to fill a scheduling gap, for example, and could be fun to make. Plus we get to enjoy them. Depends on the dlc. Stuff like skins, new animations, or weapons are pretty low maintenance and almost always make up for their dev cost in sells. Expansions are a different story because the dev time and costs are a lot higher on top of limiting potential buyers because they need to first purchase the base game. (I know someone's going to point out that small dlc's also require you to buy the base game, but there's a huge difference in the impulse purchase of a $5 pack of skins and $15 for a 20 hour expansion, despite the expansion being economically a better purchase.) Buyers/players/customers tend to look at the base game and judge based on its price what they will pay for dlc even if they doesn't actually mean anything for the developers because the playing time doesn't equate cost to produce.
  20. I think preproduction on POE3 or a spin off is more likely.
  21. They gave a rough estimate that Beast of Winter will be longer than Bastard's Wound but shorter than The White March.
  22. The riddle, to me, is just like a story I know called The Puppy Who Lost His Way.
