Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire
This is my experience. I don't mind the difficulty spikes so much as the lack of communicating to the player what's going on. I'm also getting a greater appreciation for the Pillars series quality of life changes to the formula (fast walking, no equipment weight, no fatigue mechanic, etc.)

Playing a half-orc monk but forgot to add a few more points into CON.

Non-aumauan members of Huana
the_dog_days replied to Señor_Pasta's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Because the Huana are so racially dominated by aumaua and there's no procreation in mixed race couples, I imagine its hard to keep the non-aumauan population up within the Huana.

The pacing of The Wheel of Time is great if you read all the books back-to-back (even Crossroads of Twilight). If you're just reading one book every so often, they can feel disjointed and bloated.

Dune is a sci-fi, those 'prophecies' are social engineering and not actual prophecy.

nfl 2018-2019
Back in '07-ish Ray Lewis said of Tom Brady, "Put a bell on him." I agree with many of the rule changes concerning hitting the QB (being in a throwing position isn't the same as bracing for a hit) but we are now at a point that as long as he stays in the pocket, the QB isn't really playing tackle football but everyone else is still subject to tackle rules.

^I wouldn't get rid of the textbook. I actually have about four boxes of old encyclopedias published in the 1960's that my elementary school was getting rid of and I volunteered to save them. They could've stuck a dog in that trashcan and it would still be there, but not the books.

Bard's Tale IV and flop of 3 abilities per character
I was just thinking the best game inXile has done is the remaster, and they outsourced that.

Bard's Tale IV and flop of 3 abilities per character
The actual game isn't bad. It's just that the program actively conspires against you playing it. The loading times that make Pillars pale in comparison, framerate drops, invisible icons in the inventory, skill points that appear placed but aren't, quest and item text that's barely readable due to terrible UI scaling, graphics and resolution settings that simply don't work, oh and the language setting that automatically resets every time you turn the game on. Yep. Those are bad. REALLY bad. At this point I feel like bad UI is an inXile staple.

Why is it still not possible to turn off the narrator?
the_dog_days replied to Yosharian's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Why haven't they? Probably other priorities and while a popular opinion on the forums, the dislike of the narration isn't wide spread. (Honestly, I think she didn't the best voice work in the while game.)

Why would Republicans hate immigrants? They love immigrants. They hate criminals and Dems love criminals that's the difference. Since when was Jesus an immigrant? Technically he was a displaced native.

What game did you bought last?
I caved and preordered Pathfider. In my defense, I was going to buy it on release date anyway. (And no, unlike many I don't think its going to be the second coming of Baldur's Gate 2.)

So...No New Companions
the_dog_days replied to Purudaya's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yeah, they were very upfront about not adding companions in the expansions. Where? Everybody keeps saying how obvious it was, but I don't remember hearing this and feel like I've followed the game's development reasonably well. The Fig campaign, Josh's twitter/Something Awful, in video interviews, and I'm pretty sure here on the forums. It got reiterated constantly during the crowd funding and dev time.
