It's great, I recommend it. Great tip I got from Gromnir for regular pot roast that I also use for Mississippi pot roast, add a few prunes. Nobody knows it's in there but the subtle sweetness it elevates the taste. I do mine in the pressure cooker now and I don't even bother removing them anymore, I just shred them in with the meat.

What You've Done Today - Keep Dreaming...
Wifix took me to a new definitely not Russian with what's going on in the world today European market and they had the best homemade adjika I've ever tasted. I've been slathering it on the figuratively literal everything today. Then she took me to a liquor store and bought me my favorite Scotch. Either she's going to kill me or she actually likes me, win win.

The TV and Streaming Thread: Summer Re-reruns (it's always summer somewhere)
Wife wanted to give it another shot so I put in 2 more episodes. It's definitely not boring but I find it extremely frustrating because when it's good it's pretty good but then it also becomes about the dumbest thing I've ever seen almost immediately after. Since we're halfway through we might finish it but I don't know if the good parts are worth the parts that I have to get up and leave the room for.

Started watching the Recruit on Netflix. I think we're 2 or 3 episodes in but I don't think we'll continue it.- The All Things Political Topic - Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you
What's the root of this new conflict/escalation? Old grievances? I believe that I've said before that I don't know much about the old war that isn't basic Wikipedia. Trying to recall anything about it from when it was actually going on but I think it was presented to us as super straightforward good guys vs bad guys but I didn't follow politics or world events as a kid and now that I'm older I know things are almost never so clear cut.- What You've Done Today - Keep Dreaming...

My wife's reaction as well but it's homemade Tuna Helper basically. I kept it fairly simple because I wasn't sure if my family was going to like it, especially after the weird looks. They ended up killing the whole batch. It's super flexible and I highly recommend it. You can use box mac and cheese or make it from scratch and punch it up however you like it. It was a staple growing up being it's cheap, easy, and shelf stable.- Food Thread - Obsidian Gormand's Edition

Kinda cold out but not as cold as this morning. Supposedly we hit -24- Merry Christmas....
My wife and I are not in agreement about Santa for our kid. Since we had our son later in life I got to see friends and family go through the Santa saga with their kids and while most of them didn't really care or mind being lied to about it there were a few that were genuinely hurt their parents tricked them for so long. Santa was not sold to us as real person growing up but as a symbol of the season and I don't want to make him a main focus of Christmas for my son either but my wife thinks I'm killing the joy and spirit of the season by not actively lying about it. I've got no problem exploring the Santa folklore with my son but I don't think I can look him in the eyes and tell him that Santa is a real person who brings him gifts. Maybe I am a joy killer. I'll write a trilogy of books about it but stop after I write myself into a corner with the second book, I think I'll call it the Joykiller Chronicles.- Forum Comments and Issues Repository

and is the back a thong or am I just seeing what I want to see? e: Yep, pretty sure that's just some white fabric and not a cutout lol- What You've Done Today - Keep Dreaming...
I've got one dark blue suit from Mervyn's and one black suit from Sears. I think I wore my dress blues more than I wore those two suits combined and I only wore my dress blues maybe three or four times dress blues for reference I don't have the white pants though because I bought mine when I first joined and you only get white pants as an officer, staff NCO, or special billet and generally only in the summer. I eventually got to the rank that I could wear them but by then I didn't care to. You start out with the blue pants and get a red stripe (called a blood stripe) on them when you become an NCO (E-4). E: Bonus uniform that I've never actually seen after 5 years in the Marines. It's only required for Majors (O-4) and above but SNCOs (E-6 and up) also have a version and it's the butler looking version on the far left. We can wear that kickass cloak though.- Cinema and Movie Thread: I like to remember things my own way.
Strays too far from the lore. 4/10 Anyways, more X-mas movies Single All The Way Princess Switch Trilogy The Knight Before Christmas Hometown Holiday That's it for this update, probably would have been more but we're having serious disagreements about what to tell our son about Santa. - The TV and Streaming Thread: Summer Re-reruns (it's always summer somewhere)
