  1. I seriously couldn't believe it. It doesn't even look any good. Otherwise the characters look okay, I just can't get over how low poly and how empty the environment is.
  2. The thing with Sci-fi is the ripoffs feel less generic. ME borrows from Battlestar Galactica a lot apprently, and definitely a ton of other sci fi series. It's just a lot easier to have things feel fresh in a space opera than in a gritty medieval setting.
  3. ... how did it feel underdevelopped? It was a small gimmicky game with a good ending that wrapped things up nicely. You're essentially saying it's not a 10 hour AAA game with a full script and voice actors. Portal wasn't indie, it was just an extra with the Orange Box. You *should* make a difference here.
  4. Yes, but Obsidian>>>>>>>Bio. FACT.
  5. Except it's all pretty worthless. I doubt there's a big metaphor behind Portal ala Ico.
  6. Gotta be honest, I thought the story and setting were the worst part. Everything was just boring, even the citadel and especially the characters. Although story-wise it got interesting near the end and Episode 2 was much better (since something was actually happening).
  7. What's this? Hate for Half-life 2? And I thought I was the only one who hated it!
  8. Needs more mushy romance subplots.
  9. Watched 30 minutes of the Hangover and gave up. It was just too dumb and far from funny. Not to mention the whole scenario has been done before many times in pretty much every medium imaginable.
  10. Also she doesn't look 12. I don't think it's working right.
  11. Sorry, Wals, there's plenty of much more inane news stories. You need to try harder. PS: I suggest CNN.
  12. Agreed. EVE Online is already much more interesting, simply because of the weird social aspects going on. Or maybe that would fit in with psychology.
  13. GO is much better than WW, it just takes patience.
  14. I'm just wondering why they'd call it "Space Marines", such a generic name.
  15. Looks worse than the second FEAR, which was already abysmal.
  16. Emulate it like I did. Better yet, don't, it only worked after messing with it for days. But seriously, there's a few rumors it might be getting a 60FPS/1080p re-release on the PS3 along with ICO, a bit like the God of War collection. I'm definitely going to buy it if that happens.
  17. Are there still gamers in this world who haven't played Shadow of the Colossus? They must live such an empty life.
  18. VG247 founder Patrick Garratt said it is true. This is hilarious and awesome at the same time. If anyone can make a good Duke Nukem game and finish it, it's the Borderlands team.
  19. Can't be worse than Moira.
  20. See what happens when someone posts a picture of Felicia Day, mkreku? No one wants to talk about Fallout now.
  21. When the Tsar Bomba was tested, it was configured especially for the occasion to only yield half it's maximum output. An unexpected sideeffect of the change was that it was the "cleanest" nuclear detonation ever. You can try out various payloads on your favourite city here I read the wikipedia page too. Thanks for the link though. Nice to see how Montreal doesn't even stand a chance.
  22. Violence used much more sparingly would be great. In those cases it just feels more real and has some actual impact. At the very worst, be like Borderlands: when there's gore it's not automatically tons of blood jutting and limbs aren't treated as simple physics objects (this is never convincing) and instead land on the ground and stay there like the sticky fleshy mess a limb should be. Slow motion on every kill is just too much. Sometimes shooting an enemy means I want to move on directly to the next one, I just killed the guy, I know how I did it, no need to give me another camera angle.
  23. What I'm really wondering is the effect of something with the yield of Tsar Bomba would look like. Probably the same devastation but over a much larger distance, with a giant crater at the center.
  24. If your computer can somehow run it correctly, System Shock 2 is about as scary as it gets.
  25. Dead Space isn't scary. FEAR is just creepy. I hear Metro 2033 has its moments too.
