She really is average at best. I'm not sure most people really believe she's a good voice actress, they're just being fanboys. Yes, anyone who disagrees with you must be a fanboy. I forgot a *mostly. And by fanboys I mean the Bioware boards and you KNOW what I mean when I say there are plenty of fanboys there. Also do I really have to add "IMO" every time I say something like this? Of course it's an opinion if I say she's average at best.

The soundtrack sounds amazing and the game is gorgeous. As for the gameplay, I just hope being that overpowered isn't that easy. Chances are we won't have any of those cool upgrades.

I remember Diablo being very gothic-themed. It's a shame this isn't nearly as present in Diablo 3.

Sounds like Dragon Age. Sounds like The Return of the King. They did set up the third game as this very clearly. It's still pretty dumb - they keep weakening the Reapers to the point where you can fight back against them. It took the three biggest fleets in Citadel Space to bring down ONE reaper, and there are MILLIONS. If Bio nerfs them any harder it's just going to suck. Return of the King? Really? i think it took me between 60-80 hours to finish the game my first playthrough.... i thought it was a tad better than the witcher, how overrated are we talking here? We're talking your average Bioware-overrated where their numerous fanboys are in love with the game and one (or several) ingame characters.

Finished Dragon Age Origins... got through in roughly 20 hours, maybe less. It's incredibly overrated.

All these years my life has been a lie, always believing one doesn't do mesh distortion and the other one does I'll drown my sorrow in mocha Oh of course one is better, but it's still very similar. Also I just realised Normal Mapping is incredibly old. Bump Mapping must be ancient.

It's normal mapping now. They're pretty much the same thing. Or maybe Crytek has found some new way to do it called bling-mapping. I wouldn't know.

I just think the last line about a monstrous zombie-like race whose only purpose is to overrun the galaxy living in peace needs to be changed. I can imagine it now, man and zerg, united, walking on the same street and holding hands! Although the soundtrack in the cutscene is a song from the first Transformers Movie, so that kinda makes it suspicious.

The animation still looks god awful on some characters - namely that weird elf(?) woman to the left in the middle of doing god knows what with her arms. At least the shoulder pads don't look as silly. Am I the only one who thinks DA's engine was particularly weak? It doesn't look all that better in DA2 either.

Aww, he just wants to feel again. "I shoot/stab/slice people, because it's the only thing that makes me feel alive." Drama confirmed. Shame it's not Christian Bale doing the character, then. He pretty much is Bale/Batman, though.

So SC2's Heart of the Swarm's ending was leaked. Fun.

Could be worse. Could be Sega or EA or at the very worst Activision. Besides, this might mean Bethesda will stop making Elder Scrolls/FO games themselves and let competent people handle them.

So yeah I finished the Deep Roads. Kinda want to light the level designer's office on fire after that - even on easy the whole thing was just exhausting. Overall I don't really like this game. The game world is ugly, and not the in the bad graphics kind-of-way, everything is just terrible and IMO uninteresting. It's very depressing, and the amount of blood (and the ridiculous blood splats on characters) makes everyone look like some sort of psychopath every time they have a conversation after a battle. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool effect - it just lasts too long and overall some dirt instead of blood (like when fighting golems for example) might have been nicer. As for the animation... well anything out of combat is great. But every character takes ages to swing their weapons, which makes it look like there's no strength behind it. Dwarves all look terrible, elves look weird and the archdemon makes my blood boil every time it shows its stupid-looking teeth and breathes that Doom 1 looking purple fire. The game also continues Bioware's tradition of terribly filmed cutscenes - I mean, look at . It's like they purposely zoom in on what looks bad in their game. I know, it's nitpicking but these moments really ruin the game for me. It's not a case of bad graphics, it's just terrible design. The darkspawn aren't a very interesting enemy either (Locust + Tolkien orcs, ugh) and I'm almost glad DA2 is going to be real-time - as long as they don't make it too much about button mashing. The soundtrack is generic fantasy music except for one two segments that stood out a bit. I just play some other better soundtrack while I'm playing now.

Why pick locks in DA:O? They never contain anything of worth. I figured this out way too late. Although having an archer in the group has it's uses.

Still playing Dragon Age. Found another rogue but you know... it's Zehvran. And he's awful at picking locks. Guess the crazy bard chick is staying around then. -.-
