  1. IIRC Skaen is scarred as well as missing the nose and ears so perhaps the godlike of Skaen has a body that creates scars and wounds naturally? Maybe they end up looking something like a more natural, less extreme S&M Cennobite in the Hellraiser series? Sounds like stigmata.
  2. Counterpoints: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShrinkingViolet http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YamatoNadeshiko etc.
  3. I tried that. Poor targeting means I could easily misclick and hit my partner. It was kind of a pain. Taking quests that way never clicked with me either. Something’s happening somewhere and I don’t even know, or I click on the dialog and listen… Assuming I catched that in time. Reading journals is unlikely as that takes even more time. Rock-paper-scissors-based persuasion is just wrong. It also put too many quests right at the beginning (or maybe communication wasn’t good enough), so at one point I just didn’t even know where I was supposed to go (higher level enemies vs I already was here before). From the technical aspect it’s best I’ve seen in a while, though. It runs fast and stable.
  4. In the old system I can rest without problems as long as I have some resources. In the proposed system even if I rest there is going to be a problem. Too much hassle for no real gain, IMO.
  5. So, you (as it seems) don’t rest spam which means you won’t be affected by penalties that you propose. Therefore you gain nothing while others, who need it for some reason, suffer more. What’s the point?
  6. It’s going to be press X to win with the “pay $ to press X less often to win” option. Oh, and romances free-for-all, decadence and depravity. Backer NPCs will be invincible and intsa-gib you when you try to kill them. Traps will be nerfed again. But you’ll have a top hat.
  7. Whatever that was I also felt it. I didn’t stop but I’ve done only a few quests and there was always this “I want the game to finally end” feeling from that point on (although I’m pretty fine with long games usually).
  8. Then you torture assassins until they point to the right people then you sue those because killing is not enough…
  9. Because surely you can’t lie to save someone if you are a “follower” of Eothas, sure. In Eora it’s all in your mind (soul), gods are just “easy” ideals to aspire to.
  10. Soul Nomad & the World Eaters says hi (assuming we count tactial ones as well here). Well, AFAIR, you could only do that on your second playthrough but…
  11. At the very least demons and robots will have enough strength to make things done, I don’t see any problems with this plan And we already have song-powered magic with Chanters, mix love & friendship with some soul-stuff and we are good to go I though Edér is powered by friendship already.
  12. Nuking everything is a good idea, though, when you don’t yet know what a given kind of monster can do since things can easily go south if you had a bad start. We’ll see how those changes… change things like that.
  13. Ritual of unlocking teh hidden potential of a godlike, or something. Assuming it wouldn’t be a built-in part of character progression.
