  1. I'm pretty sure there will be a KOTOR:3. The question is who is making it. If it gets handed off to another company, I feel sorry for them. Despite the fact that they've got easy money to be made, following KOTOR:1 and 2 is not an easy task. LucasArts was doing pre-production on KOTOR:3 a while back before their layoffs, so I think they definately want one. I'm sure there are tons of willing developers. Why wouldn't there be one?
  2. And I'm no doubting KOTOR:2's greatness, but IGN is not a credible website by any means.
  3. I'm rather excited about the forms. I can't wait to buy this game.
  4. I'm rather digging the site. I like how they included the history of the Jedi and Sith for players not familiar with such things.
  5. First off, I don't think that's the case. Obsidian said their date to have the game completed was the same even if the release date changed or didn't change. Obsidian was shooting for a Feb release date simulataneously on PC and XBox. I think LucasArts wanted the XBox version out before Christmas.
  6. I think the suggestion was to reuse the NWN2 engine, not the Infinity Engine.
  7. I'd love to see a game with the quality or style of Planescape Torment. I really wouldn't care to see a sequel.
  8. I'll be good.
  9. Considering that we're not using the full bandwidth/thoroughput of AGP technology, I don't know why people insist on PCI-E.
  10. Sadly, I probably won't be able to pick up this game until after Christmas because it's hard for me to justify spending money on myself in December. Not to mention I have my XBox disassembled at the moment.
  11. I agree. It's fairly annoying for those of us who try to keep up on several different forums.
  12. By not posting for a few months, I gave myself a handicap. Now I need to catch up!
  13. Now you're talking! Vanilla flavored Soy Dream with some Sugar in the Raw....
  14. As someone who has taken some journalism classes, I don't think journalism helps you creatively. It helps you take existing stories and arrange them in a reverse triangle format so that the end of a story isn't important, and the story can be read by any idiot.
  15. Here's my suggestion for what it's worth. Put together a D20 supplement and try to publish it. Put together a small mod for an existing cRPG. Use that as a stepping stone towards developing a new cRPG. Look in communities like www.sourceforge.net for programmers.
  16. Sometimes it's all about designing a good team around the same strategy and chemistry instead of picking popular "name" stars. The USA has the best basketball players in the world, and couldn't win a gold medal in basketball for that very reason.
  17. I prefer this website for it's better layout though it's the same info: http://systemreferencedocuments.org/
  18. They seem to be friends with a lot of the guys over at Bioware.
  19. CEO's fetch coffee. Producers handle the logistics of acquiring coffee. Programmers make a superior coffee pot (and scold those who try to wash away the brown "flavor protector rings" on the coffee pot). Designers invent new coffee concoctions (What if the Sweet and Low was secretly replaced by Splenda, and you had to use Goat's Milk instead?).
  20. It's nice to see Spellmar back at work. I think Spellmar is frightened off by the NWN2 forums.
  21. When I read the NWN2 forums, I feel like this:
  22. In England the Force is recognized as being the Jedi religion in their latest Census. A bunch of people in the UK listed it as their relgion in real life on the latest census. I kid you not. And some guys in the states have recently opened up a Jedi Academy.
  23. I'd be down for a collector's edition with a concept-art booklet and soundtrack.
  24. I don' t mind MCA making up new characters and stories either.
  25. They've held out on saying exactly how many Sith Lords there are, and even suggested that the number could change. This might suggest the new PC could become a Sith Lord, or more likely Bastilla or Revan could appear as a Sith Lord depending on how you answer questions in the beginning.
