  1. Let's say they get the Source Engine. It only went through a 5 year development cycle with massive bug squashing. It's stable, efficient, can run an RPG, and has wonderful realistic physics. Imagine force effects affecting everything around you. Imagine facial reactions and emotions from the NPCs around you. Imagine swoop-bikes flying through levels.
  2. No, he was supposed to bring donuts.
  3. I'm running on gene-pool 7.0
  4. Damn you all! I can't get the trees right! I will kill everybody! By the way, did we scare the new guy off?
  5. I suddenly feel _very_ inadequate.
  6. For LA to do a KOTOR movie, means for Lucas to license a Star Wars movie. Whom will Lucas hand it off to? Then again supposedly a Star Wars TV show is in the works.
  7. There is parity in the bottom two-thirds of the league, but four teams are proving to be clearly better than everyone else.
  8. Technically, my post here was first. And I thought this was more appropriate since we're talking sports games, not RPGs, but that's the thread where people decided to actually chat.
  9. Except it's legal to raise buffalo for slaughter these days. I've been to a place that only serves buffalo. Thank you for flying tangental airlines. Death, or cake? I'll have the donuts.
  10. Ain't it said that you can't say that ain't ain't a word anymore?
  11. mkreku is correct. The score is handled by LucasArts. KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 had different composers.
  12. Very few video games are.
  13. And House of the Dead, which is just as bad. But they're working on a bunch of new video game movies such as Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, Doom, Spy Hunter, Metroid and more. I kid you not.
  14. To quote a teen-flick remake of a Shakespeare story... "So, you can be overwhelmed, and underwhelmed, but can you just be whelmed?" "I think you can be in Europe." And we're still waiting for donuts.
  15. You can always do artwork for a mod project like ::ahem:: Project Fanout and use that on your resume when pursing a job.
  16. I think you're a little mistaken. I used to the be the Operations Manager for a security company. You need classes and a license just to carry a gun. And if you blow someone's head off, you're looking at murder charges. You have to prove that your life was in danger to use lethal force.
  17. Most MMORPGs seem to have this implemented on some level.
  18. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I think when used properly it can be a good system. Personally, I really like applying character points rather than leveling up or raising things with practice.
  19. Have you recently installed Windows XP SP2? That drains system resources. Go to Blackviper.com and check out some of the guides for Windows tweaks. Ad-Aware should be used in conjunction with Spybot. Both find spyware programs the other will leave behind. And what drivers are you using for your card?
  20. Or you could own both PC and XBox and do whatever you want whenever you want.
  21. Splinter Cell, which you're praising for it's complexity, was developed for the console and ported to PC. I just thought you should know.
  22. Yep. The more you get hurt (not on purpose), the more HP you gain. The more MP required to kill a foe, the more MP you get. The more and more you use a certain magic, the higher in level it becomes. The more and more you use a certain weapon class, the better you use that weapon.
  23. There are two Final Fantasy II's depending on how you look at it. The proper FFII was released in Japan only, but a few people translated it, and released it in the states on the NES. The American FFII was actually FFIV, on the SNES. FFII was also redone on the Playstation in Final Fatasy Origins, and now just last week rereleased with FFI on the Game Boy Advance with new dungeons, features, etc. It's called Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls.
  24. Welcome to the community. I'm sure you have lovely points, but as soon as I detected the hint of possible spoilers, I had to stop reading. I haven't played the game yet. The dev team does read posts here, and you'll find feedback is welcome and encouraged. However, this is not the proper area on the forum for this post. I recommend looking over all the forum areas, reading a few FAQs, and then adding your suggestions and feedback to the community.
  25. I'm not a fan of the MMO scene in general, but the Matrix Online does look promising. I'm one of four people that actually enjoyed the full Matrix trilogy (though Revolutions needs some serious editting work). I rather dig the concept of swapping out skill chips, and trading them with other players. I still probably won't devote the time to invest in a MMO title, but I will be watching the Matrix Online and trying to follow the world's metaplots.
