  1. Criss aren't around at this point in time. They keep to themselves. Rakghouls are deranged infected people who attack everything on site. Twileks seemed to be all over KOTOR to the point where I got sick of them. Zabraks sure are popular in the Star Wars fan base, but we don't really know anything about them. I'd like to see races like the Iridorians get more representation in the games, but either way, you're stuck being human in KOTOR:TSL, so it's a moot point.
  2. I dug how well Bioware seemed to research the setting, and threw in references to the comics and EU. You weren't required to know the setting to play the game, but those who were fans got some special treatment. The problem is that Bioware covered much of the territory from the comics in the first game.
  3. I'm not a big fan of people who tell me how attractive they are, regardless of how attractive I might have thought them before-hand.
  4. I think the terms "beauty" and "ugly" are highly subjective.
  5. They've said the KOTOR team isn't finished working on KOTOR, and some of them (at least MCA) are jumping to the NWN:2 project, while Feargie has said he doesn't know what the other KOTOR guys are going to do next. So no, they are not currently working on BG3.
  6. RPGCodex has a portal front page, which shows the most recent active threads to jump to. Obsidian doesn't feature a portal at all.
  7. Certain boards utilize a karma system, which I'm a big fan of, or a rating system where you can rate other's posts. The developers also can see which suggestions and members seem to be respected by the community.
  8. They're in the officially released script. They just got cut from the movie.

    FLU

I agree with your logic to a certain extent. If there is a feature that makes certain people happy, and it's optional, then great. But who needs a fake level up cheat when a level 2 PC can take on a Rancor? People who use the FLU in KOTOR are sad, sad folks.
  10. As far as I know there is only one button/key that switches between two weapon configurations.
  11. First off, they did mention that it was the Dark Lord that dimished their power, and in the script there are countless deleted scenes that repeat how they can't see things due to the Dark Side. For instance: MACE WINDU Why couldn't we see this attack on the Senator? YODA Masking the future, is this disturbance in the Force. MACE WINDU The propecy is coming true, the Dark Side is growing. YODA And only those who have turned to the Dark Side can sense the possibilities of the future. Only going through the Dark Side can we see. MACE WINDU It's been ten years, and the Sith still have no shown themselves. Do you think they are behind this? YODA ...Out there, they are. A certainty that is. MACE WINDU Do you think Obi-Wan's apprentice will be able to bring balance to the Force? YODA Only if he chooses to follow his destiny. The script also mentions some interesting things suggesting that despite this flaw, Yoda is able to look into things by probing the Dark Side. OBI-WAN Has Master Yoda gained any insight into whether or not this war will come about? MACE WINDU Probing the Dark Side is a dangerous process. He could be in seclusion for days... May the force be with you. Every time Yoda meditates in the script, the camera then shifts to Anakin. For instance: INT. JEDI TEMPLE, YODA'S QUARTERS - LATE AFTERNOON YODA sits with his eyes closed, meditating. Silence. EXT. NABOO LAKE RETREAT, LOUNGE, LATE AFTERNOON The setting sun touches the mountain peaks. The lake glows in the rose-tinted light. Floatinf lamps glean softly like jewels at the lodge. INT. NABOO LAKE RETREAT, DINING ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON NANDI place dessert in front of PADME. TECKLA does the same for ANAKIN....... Excuse me. I mispelled Sifo-Dyas, but I didn't call him Darth. At this point in time, we don't know if Sifo-Dyas is part of the lost 20, a Sith, or what. Obi-Wan says that Sifo-Dyas died many years ago. Also, go back and watch the Tusken slaughter, or what little bit of it we see. It cuts directly from the slaugter to Yoda meditating, where we can HEAR the slaughter in the background, and Qui-Gon's voice yelling "No!" They were both watching Anakin. Then Yoda says that Anakin is in pain, "much suffering". Are you trying to tell me that Yoda wasn't watching him? Which movie did you watch?
  12. I don't keep photos of myself. I'm not horribly self-conscience, but I just don't really take any photos either. My looks seems to change greatly from time to time. You should see my different ID photos. My California ID definately has the SoCal Surfer Boy look going for it. My Marine ID is very Gung-Ho, and my Nebraska ID looks fairly yuppie (ick). Here are a few photos of me. http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=enderandrew
  13. If you're running dual-Xeons, and you have all that processing power, I hope you're running SATA drives at the very least. It's a shame when the HDD's are slowing down a powerful rig.
  14. I think the universe is plenty crunchy. All I can say, is God Help Ferret with NWN2!
  15. Right now I have a grief with NHL players in general. It may be that the league never gets back together, and NHL players just play in leagues like the WHL. The players are objecting to a salary cap, when the salary cap has done nothing but offer parity and a chance for every club to win in leagues like the NBA and NFL. NHL players salaries are on par with NFL salaries, but NHL TV revenues are 2% of NFL TV revenues. Most NHL franchises lose money each year despite the Canadian franchies being subsidised with tax payer dollars, and some franchises like Ottawa are in flat our bankruptcy and can't pay players as is. Yet the players want more money? Screw 'em. It's hard to side with big business most days, but I'm with the owners who shouldn't budge, but likely will. The league needs a salary cap, and the players need pay cuts. If the players continue to hold out, and it ends up that the Tampa Bay Lightning won the last Stanley Cup ever, it will be a huge travesty.

    FLU

The govenor didn't seem tough, but I did have Carth and Bastilla with me. The Rancor is the toughish from a statistical standpoint, but is quite easy to kill in combat. I know you can use an item to kill him simply, but it's much more rewarding to use mines, stealth, and then bait him into tripping across them. When his back is turned, I toss a few grenades, run up the ramp, and then finish him off with a few blaster shots.
  17. I think most of the members from KOTOR will be larely cameos in this game, though it looks like a few will be joinable. Obsidian's staff has demonstrated in the past the ability to make memorable characters, and I'd like to let them do that. As much as I think KOTOR:TSL will be a great game, I'm saddened that they have their hands tied in living with other people's characters to an extent.
  18. Yeppers. Helmets have been suggested, but will not be a seperate equippable slot in KOTOR:TSL. Maybe in KOTOR:III.
  19. As far as I know, I have the highest post count here. Does that mean my opinion is more important that any one elses? No. It just means I post way too damn much, and am an opinionated guy. I like to banter, and I like to throw out ideas. The fact remains that there is a lot of congestion in the KOTOR forums of people arguing over features that have already been vetoed. I just don't see the point. It makes like that much more difficult for people who frequent said forums looking for new information. The time to give the development team major suggestions about the plot, features and gameplay has passed. I'm curious where are these posters were six months ago. I'm not saying their opinions are less valid because they weren't here six months ago, I'm saying they would have had a better chance of getting a suggestion in six months ago. I know people enjoyed KOTOR, and just want to discuss and/or debate it. LucasArts, Bioware, and TheForce.net all have spots on their forums to discuss KOTOR. Obsidian's forums are for the discussion of KOTOR:TSL. I don't mind speculation, and I don't want to squash people's excitement for this game. Rather, I hope it sells a billion copies and makes Obsidian rich. (You guys are getting a back end, right?) But if the devs have said a feature isn't happening, and you know this, then please don't spam the boards with why you think the feature needs to be in. It just wastes everyone's time.
  20. Last I heard, it looked like KOTOR:TSL would cap at 30.
  21. This forum doesn't get a whole lot of on-topic posts, so I don't know if it needs to be broken up. But I do suggest moving it below or naming it Obsidian Suggestions.
  22. I just read through ten pages of spam and crap in the last thread, and Akari merely said that the person in armor is a party member. The videos clearly show that. Akari did not say that the person is a returning party member.

I'm replaying the game right now. I beat everything down on Taris, including the Rancor in combat with a level 2 soldier. I didn't level up until I became a Jedi, and know the game is even more boring that I did level up. Bendak Starkiller is the only challenge in the game (assuming you fight him at level 2). I've used cheats in other games for fun (most often in GTA3). But you can already own everything in the game as is, so I don't understand using cheats in KOTOR.
  24. There is a reason I went from 3,000 KOTOR posts to not posting in the KOTOR areas much anymore.
  25. I'm rooting for Canada as a fellow North American who is living with a Canadian. My only objection is that the Canadians have a lot of NHL players who I despise.
