  1. Grrr, you're right! I forgot about that Jawa gun. I'm fired.
  2. They already had the feature. They opted to turn it off. I think if they decided to implement a title system, they will.
  3. Palpatine is the best part of the prequels.
  4. The next jump is Super-DVD, of which there are four proposed formats, but they will all be backwards compatible with DVD. DVD Burners are $70-$80 at New Egg. The first CD burner I bought was a 10x when it was top of the line, and I glady paid $250. I think I will be getting me a DVD-R by year's end.
  5. I'll live, but I don't know that I'll do a whole lot of swoop racing.
  6. I've lived all over the country, and many places Broadband is pretty comparable to Dial-up. My mother pays $24 a month for AOL dial-up. I pay $40 a month for Cox. I could get DSL for $35 a month if I wanted, but Cox is much faster. Consider the cost of a phone line, and the hassle of dial-up and the jump to $35-$40 a month is a foregone conclusion in my book. I also got a free cable model (of which I have 2 now) and a free webcam (of which I now have three).
  7. Why recycle level 30 characters from KOTOR:TSL into KOTOR:3? Are we supposed to hit level 50? Lay down the crack pipe. It won't happen, and if it does, I'm not buying KOTOR:3.
  8. In the movies proper, we don't see Ion grenades, or ion guns on fighters. We see a giant planetary Ion cannon. Who knows what the limitations on ion technology are? And George Lucas is an archeologist, not a physicist, so don't expect a whole lot of science facts in Star Wars. George Lucas did screw the pooch on the parsec line in ANH after all.
  9. ::Sigh:: Of the NPC's that NEED to return, I'd say Bastilla and Carth. They were the main NPCs that the storyline revolved around, and the NPCs whose storylines we expect to see get developed more, or capped off in KOTOR:TSL. Were they my favorite NPCs? No. But they need to return (assuming they're not dead). No one else NEEDS to return. I'd like to see HK-47 again, or Jolee. I'm curious how his neutrality has been affected by the end of KOTOR and the beginning of KOTOR:TSL. Canderous was a decent NPC up until the end. He changed because the dev team said the NPCs should change. Storyline didn't really dictate. He just up and threw his philosophy to the wind, and that bothered me a great deal. His characterization in the end was pathetic.
  10. I'm a big fan of unique items. I played up the STR route with my Soldier/Guardian Revan. He got all the STR items I could get, and I think I finished with a near 30 STR or something insane. There were too many stat boosters if anything.
  11. I haven't seen a whole lot of your other posts to compare. That was the only post I've seen you use 1337, so I assumed you did it intentionally to come across as being sarcastic. If not, then I'd urge against using 1337 here, since people won't take you too seriously if you use it.
  12. I assume that you don't want people to take you seriously.
  13. There are websites with updated graphics and ships for X-Wing Alliance. The single-player campaign wasn't the best in Alliance, but overall it was a good engine and a nice title. There are tons of fan-made campaigns for it as well. As far as the Ion cannons, that started in Empire Strikes Back, where the ion cannons on Hoth disabled the Imperial Ships so the Rebel Transports could get away safely. Star Wars fiction then later extrapolated that Ion cannons have a similiar effect as EMP devices in that they knock out electronics (tripping breakers, frying circuitry).
  14. Blame the D20 rule sets. Personally, I think it look silly to have stationary targets that you miss at point-blank-range with a hero character. However, the rules are supposed to be accomodating the notion that the target is moving and actively defending itself. The game engine just doesn't accomodate that.
  15. I found combat in KOTOR to be boring. I think very few enemies in the game should respawn. Some people just want to farm XP, and for them include it some where. But don't make we wade through constant combat every where.
  16. The endings were a bit unsatisfying though they did seem to be a throwback to Star Wars endings.
  17. I don't want a whole lot of the KOTOR party-members as party-members in KOTOR:TSL. I think Obsidian is capable of making fully-fleshed out NPCs with their own new stories. I'd rather see a plethora of those than rehash NPCs that didn't wow me the first time.
  18. There is a small ammount of blood with a lightsaber wound. Go watch ANH again. When Obi-Wan hacks off the arm in the Mos Eisley cantina, there is a puddle of blood. The wound gets cauterized, but I'm sure a small ammount of blood seeps in the split second.
  19. I think the best option is to learn of Revan's fate, but not meet Revan directly. Revan may even affect the plot of KOTOR:TSL, but this should be your show now with your new character. I imagine Bastilla and Carth will resurface directly, but I have to think that Revan will be more of a shadow figure in the story.
  20. Since the athletes will be shot if they fail to perform anyways, it's in their best interest that Yao Ming rides them hard.
  21. I think you need to get on teammates from time to time to pull people together. Men in competitive sports often respond to authority figures challenging them.
  22. I'm not a big fan of the Olympics. I think it should be a three-month long tournament, and we air the final two weeks. You spend your whole life training, often for one 30 second moment. And if you screw up, there are no second chances. The problem is, that the better athlete does not win the gold medal. The person who performed the best that one time wins the gold medal. If you had a series of gymnastic events for a month, at the end of themonth you'd have the best team.
  23. I'm on the "big" side with my signature, and I'm only at 431x90. My sig is also only 15k. My avatar is a whopping 2k. I'm pretty sure I could fit an 80x80 avatar in under 4k.
  24. I suppose that makes sense.
  25. I think most people didn't realize that the custom title field even existed, so many people didn't use it. But I had a custom title for a few days.
