  1. Guess only a dev might help you with this but I can point out something. - You are using a 32-bit OS which can cause out of memory situations. - Your graphic card does not seem to be supported by official manufacturer drivers anymore with Windows 10. - Windows 10 is pretty new so incompatible issues are to be expected.
  2. @celliott Did you test this on windows or linux? The user in the other thread uses a linux system. http://lubuntu.net/
  3. If it's a unity issue, then the devs from the Unity3D Project need to fix this. Obsidian can not tell, if and when a fix is ready. Unity 5.2/5.3 which is announced for next month / end of the year, added Windows 10 features. http://unity3d.com/unity/roadmap/ It seems other people here have no issues with Windows 10. So it might be a specific issue and not a general one.

  5. I see no reason to delete the savegames. The game crashes even before you can load them.
  6. Seems the game crashes early on, when it tries to initialize the graphics driver. Not sure if you run steam in big picture mode or if steam overlay mode is active. Maybe try to disable that. (E.g: steam -> setting -> in game -> enable steam overlay)
  7. You should post your dxdiag files and the log file of Pillars. Output Log When the issue occurs, close the game client, find this file, then attach it to your post Windows Steam Location: \Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\output_log.txt System Specs This will give us most of your computer specs to help us diagnose the problem Windows Location: Press (windowkey + R), Type "dxdiag" and press Enter, Click "Save All Information", Attach the file that you create
  8. There's a change in Patch 2.0 Beta 1 which seems to be a mistake: conversations\08_wilderness\08_cv_gramrfel.stringtable Change from <ID>67</ID> <DefaultText>"B-but I... Gramrfel, I don't think... That is, he let me go, when all's said and done. Can't we just-" </DefaultText> <FemaleText>"B-but I... Gramrfel, I don't think... That is, she let me go, when all's said and done. Can't we just-" </FemaleText> </Entry> to: <Entry> <ID>67</ID> <DefaultText>"B-but I... Gramrfel, I don't think... 9. Have you tried to install the latest graphic drivers for your video card, the nvidia GTX 770? Version: 353.62 WHQL Release Date: 2015.7.29 Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit Because it looks like your Windows 10 uses only a generic display driver.
  10. Der Bug mit den fehlerhaften Umbrüchen liegt nicht an der Übersetzung, Das liegt leider am Spiel selber und kann überall auftauchen. Der Bug ist aber den Entwicklern bekannt.
  11. Check the options settings. I think there is a entry.
  12. Right-click on the game entry in the library section of steam. Click "Properties". Click on "local files" tab. Then click "verify integry of game cache".
  13. Start the patcher as Administrator.
  14. Well, the plugin is a third party product. http://www.cloak-works.com/ They have to fix it or provide a linux version. But seems their last release was in 2012...
  15. Do you have github project? I guess it's easier to do the changes yourself instead of posting them here in the hope obsidian will add them.
  16. Hm... no patch here. Still on 1.0.6.0617 And beta branch is even older.
  17. Wubi is just the installer of Ubuntu via XP. Basically what you will have then is a dual boot installation. When you turn on your PC, you will be asked, which OS you want to boot. XP or ubuntu linux. Then you have both linux and Win XP on your PC. In the long run you can decide if you want switch over to Linux entirely or upgrade a newer version of Windows. e.g. Win 10. Usually that depends on the programms you want to run and your budget. Ubuntu and other linux version have also live DVDs. Then you can boot Linux from the DVD without the need to install anything on your PC, if you want to check it out first how it looks and feels.
  18. Ubuntu and Mint are are based on Linux. They are distibutions who create installation versions of linux. Think of them as manufacturers of different linux flavours. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_%28operating_system%29 The Wubi thing is a way to install Ubuntu linux on your PC like a normal programm when you are in Windows. It's officially supported by the Ubuntu manufacturer.
  19. Yes, it can "run" on XP... but not without issues. I can happen that game will crash sooner or later and you are unable to proceed due to memory constraints. This can also happen with 32 bit versions of newer versions of Windows OS. If you want to play the game, run it on 64bit Windows Vista / 7 / 8.1 or Linux.
  20. If that's the case right click on the game in stream, go into local files and clicked 'verify integrity of game cache'.
  21. They did not remove it. They even answered it. See here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/80181-steam-updates-poe-16-gb-again-and-again-why/
  22. Die letzten Änderungen sind nun auch auf GitHub.
  23. Which version do you use? If steam go to properties, local files and then check for errors.
