  1. I started like this too, but only once. I was unable to put the damn PSU into the case after I had installed everything else... Never gonna happen again And yes, it does take time and probably some frustration until it's all put together nicely, but in the end, there's this feeling of accomplishment. Also, as it's the first time assembling a system, you'd have to make extra sure you buy compatible components of good quality. You also don't necessarily end up spending less money than on a pre-assembled system anymore. Maybe it's worth considering buying a system from a different place instead.
  2. No. Possibly better than BG1 and parts of BG2 and the music and some voices of IWD2, but not the IE games in general.
  3. A sketchy and clunky kind of beautiful though...
  4. NWN2 (nor 1) isn't very good sounding anyway *shrug* After PS:T and IWD1 (all sounds, including music) and IWD2 (only the voices), it seemed to me that BIS and thereafter Obsidian didn't show all too much attention to sound. NWN2 and MotB were still very good games, just for other reasons. So it doesn't really matter to me how SoZ will sound as long as it's bearable.
  5. The 9300 GE is a very, very slow graphics card at the lowest end of nVidia's offerings. Definitely not recommended for anything but Office work. The 9500GS of the other configuration isn't fast at all either, but you should be able to play older games with medium settings. The Ram of the card doesn't make a difference in this case, because you won't be able to play at settings where it would make any sense. Go for a Geforce 9600 or an ATI HD3850 or better if you want to play newer games. The configuration of the second seems rather stupid, because instead of the Core2Quad they could have used a Core2Duo and a better graphics card.
  6. Hm, to me, it's more a thing of shared moments filled with unspoken words, and a lot of feelings. Both in a positive way. This is a part of a relationship that just occurs (if it's all planned, it's not half as romantic, imo), and helps to make it more intense and stable at the same time, being a uniting experience.Art, nature and common fascination are the best triggers I think.

Anathema - Comfortably Numb (live at Summerbreeze 08) was a great cover, that video only shows the end of it that "mad butcher"-guy is from some metal band called Destruction and entered the stage for some head-kicks by Danny, Anathema's singer (except for this cover), and a robot dance... crazy, crazy things happening in that concert

I would follow that recommendation if I didn't know this would only stop teh Walsingham from listening This Ascension - Columba Aspexit
  9. Just make sure that red plate contacting the Ram etc. is not removed. Said to prevent a lot of hassles...
  10. Well, this thread's title contains "romantic", and this relationship surely has the potential to be just that. Much more so than all that direct, fast lived stuff. I also happen to catch myself thinking of "what if <insert terrible thing here> happens to her" every now and then. Depending on how deeply involved you were, Shryke, I think it's not understood we're able to still have you here at all.

Fighting the Amish in 3D? Today I came home from a metal open air. Whew... Saw many a great band, heard a lot of technical problems, and had a lot of fun overall. Still, I'm glad to be back, around non drunk people, and able to listen to some quieter music. Anathema were perfect in that department, too, but they were an exception I checked some message boards, and posted stuff. I' beginning to wonder whether that stuff in the romance thread is too personal however Hm...
  14. Partially in line with what Hurlshot put so nicely, even if it's traditional: I think the best for one's inner peace is a steady and reliable relationship. But there is the twist, children and sex. The first I do not want, the second I do. Surprisingly, that's my girlfriend's opinion too, so I'm lucky and living the best possible life I can imagine. We both know we love each other, and can depend on each other no matter what, to an extent where are able to allow each other a lot of freedom.
  15. Mm... okay, if they say so... They design coolers, not me, so they're the authority there. I just know that I only feel comfortable with my CPU under 60
  16. PC Probe does nothing but reading the values from the BIOS. If you're viewing your BIOS during startup however, your CPU runs under full speed, in Windows when "idle", it uses current saving mechanisms and thus stays cooler. Before installing the new heatsink, clean your CPU from all remains of the Intel thermal pad, and apply only a very thin layer of thermal paste (unless the new cooler comes with pre-applied stuff, too).
  17. "Christian" values? No need to get religious to describe what you mean Anyway, the logic is laughable. Because of course everyone starts out as Bill Gates with 40+ years and it's his fault when he gets poor
  18. Both too high for my taste.
  19. And what should they believe in? That Georgia was right with what they did? No one can be the right side here.
  20. If it is an adhesive thermal pad, which I strongly suspect, do not apply thermal paste!
  21. So they're making it 6 hours long. WTF? One day of fun? No buy :/ Or did I misinterpret what I read and they aim for 6 hours per level, and there will be more than one level? Or they're randomly generated on game start, including quests etc?
  22. The new ATIs run as hot as the old x1950 The reason is that they're trying to keep the fans as quiet as possible, thus letting them spin at very low speeds. Tweaking the fan speeds or installing a third party cooler fixes this. On topic: A (probably inclomplete) list of crippled graphics cards one should avoid. The article is german, google translation should make at least the list itself intelligible.

Ladytron - Black Cat (on Sanctuary Radio )
  24. Yeah, definitely ruining their own brand. I think the reason isn't competition, or rather indirect. They just sit on many old chips they have to get rid of, and couldn't sell it for a price they can make profit with, now they can produce less complex boards for partially damaged chips or something, and sell it for a higher price than their performance would suggest (i.e. a price close to that of the "real" versions with the same name, instead of close to the cards with matching performance).
