Oh noes, the latest two pages of this thread contain much sad news... After the trailer, I thought there was no humanity at all, and now he even saves it? Damn Still, my friend is likely to pull me along with her to see it

Romantic drivel
(This is a reply to your post from 08:56 PM) I didn't read what you wrote the first time and thus don't think you're a jerk Maybe later I really think her husband's an ass and she's weak. From my experience with my parents, it's always akward to get involved into the difficulties of other's relationships. There's nothing one can do right in such a situation really. To not be guilty after things are over or cleared up, the only thing that was working in the situations I observed was to be neutral and offer to listen, comfort, but never to give advice. And this is tough and unsatisfying, so again: Nothing to do right...

How did you get into the gaming industry?
(Psst, look up Unicode in Wikipedia or similar ) Indeed, don't worry if you've got the principles of Java and feel comfortable using it, C# shouldn't make you afraid, as they have a lot in common. C++ is more open in terms of concepts and low level possibilites. C isn't object oriented at all, but still, you have no reason to be afraid of it if you can program in other standard languages. If you want to see different approaches to programming, have a look at LabView, Prolog, and Lisp (or Matlab) I don't think they are important to game programming, but broadening your horizon is never bad

Google Chrome Is Amazing
Don't you mind googleupdate.exe being run in the background, the unique ID, the data gathering and the terms of use? Chrome's a clear no-go for me so far. Maybe when these things and the beta status have vanished.

US Presidential Elections
What were you told by the "officials", and what are the true figures? Sources please, otherwise it's all FUD Because there's no education program here (that I know of) that promotes abstinence. That abstinence is a 100% safe way to not get pregnant is probably mentioned, or probably not, because it's just too obvious. Oh, there's a lot to know. Hormonal changes are significant to different bodily functions as well as the psyche. They can change relationships. The female cycle is another theme for example. STDs are another theme (fungi, viruses, bacteria, parasites: what protects from them, what they do with your body, how to get rid of them). No. What has the last sentence to do with anything? We don't need math at school becuase parents could teach it too? I'll let you figure out what's funny about the supposed locial fallacy on your own :D

I once heard they tend to lose their reflectiveness due to oxidation of the aluminium layer or something like that. But sure, ripping them and trasferring them on PC change is a good way to preserve / back up the data Agathodaimon - Past Shadows

Oh no, that would really be too bad :/ I liked the setting and the characters a lot. It looked pretty, too.

Yes, he can make things worse for himself...
Haha! Well I know enough doctors who do it for the money and that's it. No genuine feeling of having to help those in need or something. So... Well, ok, this is something different, but I don't trust doctors *sneaks out of the thread*

Obsidian at PAX 2008
Ack, but we shouldn't be discussing the exterior appearance of designers when all we want is good games Mr. "Dan" is in some kind of pityable position (handwritten sign, between the tables....), is he in QA?

Yes, he can make things worse for himself...
Not if we're black, muslims, or pregnant, and in the US, because that would be even more frustrating than the normal frustrations related to doctors

Krookie: Yeah, the pill is killing a baby... Just like condoms. Real abortions however that are not necessary for the survival of the mother are allowed only for a few weeks (about 2 months I think) after becoming pregnant and for certain reasons. At least that's the law in my country, as far as I know.

Radeon 46xx coming
Even if they're not officially out yet, a chinese website broke the NDA and posted some benchmarks. Someone put them into one diagram, see this picture here. As we can see, they haven't included a 9600GT, but seeing the performance of a 3850 and knowing the 9600GT being in the same area of performance, we can conclude that they fit right between the 9500GT and 9600GT. That's a price range of $70 to $120. To make the cards attractive, ATI's partners would have to sell them for less than $90 to not make the 3850 obsolete. So I think one can speculate that for a premium of $20 (over a 9500GT), one can get twice the performance soon Probably a good choice for a gamer on a budget.

Yes, he can make things worse for himself...
Oh man, I can't believe it... This is really bad. "Nah, you're a musilm, no treatment for you", "Infusing someone else's blood? That's immoral! Forget it!", "You 'need' the pill only to kill potential life. Not with me..." If capital G will ever have an accident and should be treated by a surgeon, this doctor should refuse. It's immoral and against any belief in humanity and all that's good in the world to let that source of disaster live. Also, it would be ironic, and that's always good

Dark Knight. Was good imo, even the story was a bit lacking. The actors rarely let down (probably St. Ledger in the one longer interrogation scene). City isn't dark enough. Those are the only complaints. Hide and Seek. De Niro was superb The ending, though not really foreseen by me, was kind of a letdown, having seen too many evil in movies.

Mirror's Edge
No surprise, doesn't look very demanding. Although... For minimum requirements, these aren't very low.

My awful computer needs an update. Bad.
