  1. I'd never read or seen any previews of the game before I played it, so EVERYTHING was brand new for me.
  2. Which could be a bad thing for those of us who want to be surprised through the first play thru. I really need to find another message board to waste my time on until I get the game.
  3. Interesting. More and more planets seem to be closer to being confirmed. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
  4. I still don't understand the problem with someone (this time Bioware) taking an existing ruleset as a baseline, then altering it to fit their needs, especially when there's no need to a)use the ruleset 100% as it is, or b)make an entirely new ruleset when there is one available that is very similar to what you want to achieve.
  5. I was just about to apologize to Lucasarts. Ah well, back to my voodoo doll it is.
  6. That is, in fact, what they said they hoped to achieve, so that the player wouldn't come across the same dozen or so faces every planet/area they travel to. Personally, I just hope Gluupor makes an appearance.
  7. That's just it. Only 3 people supposedly knew about the guild. The rest of the assassins were just "hired guns" and probably have no clue how to contact any of the other assassins.
  8. Considering you had the option of wiping out the main leaders, it'd be kind of hard to do these missions.
  9. What the hell does drug discussion have to do with this game or this thread about interview questions?
  10. Jade Empire's probably going to look better, but gameplay I think will be hands down KOTOR2.
  11. I thought the freedom of movement was pretty good, all things considered.
  12. For me, it was the first Star Wars game made that seemed to actually put you (the player) smack dab in the middle of a Star Wars saga. X-Wing and such games were fun, but I never felt immersed in the actual SW universe when I played them.
  13. I have no problem with that, and I don't blame you for the delay. I'm not really impatient about when it comes out or whatnot. I was simply making the point that it doesn't mean they're spending more time on it. It could just mean they are placing a low priority on it and will "get to it when they get to it".
  14. Hasn't this poll been done about 5 times already? Ah well, as always, I'll respond with "Bastila".
  15. Just because Lucasarts is taking a long time to answer doesn't mean it's because they're spending a lot of time with thorough answers. It could just mean it's a low priority and when they finally get around to it, they'll get the new kid in the mail room downstairs to spend 15 minutes replying. Lucasarts has shown it's not exactly "fanbase friendly" already, so I wouldn't be surprised to see half the questions answered with "no comment" or "we can't say".
  16. Have Obsidian or Bioware ever stated that these games were going to STRICTLY adhere to the d20 system? Or have they stated they are using that system as a base for the combat module? I don't recall seeing them advertise KOTOR: TSL as "the exact replica of the PnP d20 rules set". All I'm saying is that it's not uncommon nor unreasonable to use a specific rule set (whether it be for basketball, football, or PnP) as a basis for what you want to do, but then modify them to suit what you hope to accomplish.
  17. I was looking forward to getting my questions answered.
  18. It would be a neat feature if the different Sith Lords were fighting with each other, as well as fighting with the remains of the Republic and Jedi Order. It'd be a dream come true if one of the options was that each of the three main Sith Lords, once they "captured" you, tried to convince you to join them and rid the galaxy of the other 2 Sith Lords.
  19. Hades, do you ever play basketball with a group of friends? If so, do you adhere to every single rule that the NBA has? 24 second shot clock? 12 minute quarters? foul outs? If not, then would you say you're not playing basketball? I doubt anyone who plays a game of pick up basketball would say that. My point? Obsidian (and Bioware) borrowed ASPECTS of a rules system to use, but then modified it to THEIR liking. They took an existing rules system to give them an idea of how things would work, then tweeked things to fit what they wanted their game to be. Just like you and your friends took the basic basketball rules, but eliminated or changed rules that didn't really fit with what you wanted to do.
  20. That's the dark side's way of laughing at you.
  21. I was going to ask why it said Jan 15.
  22. Am I the only one who thought Yaddle was hot? Err...did I say that out loud?
  23. I'm going to call mine Darque. Then I can turn Darque on anytime I want.
