  1. I just want the game and the manual. Nothing else is needed or required.
  2. the key question is: ?
  3. *sigh* I feel like I've answered this question a hundred times, but since I have nothing better to do right now, I'll do it again. I'm playing through as a complete LS character, but will tell the game that KOTOR 1 ended DS so I'll have everything against me.
  4. Actually if we're comparing Ep.2 Anakin, and you say that Bastila has more control over her emotions, I think you're dead wrong. Why? Bastila fell to the dark side, Anakin did NOT (not til Ep.3). So you lose the "who has more control of their emotions" argument. Also, Sentinels aren't focussed towards Force skills, they're balanced. It's a Consular that is Force strong, so your argument about Bastila being stronger because she's a Sentinel is wrong too. There's just no proof that Bastila is as good as you claim her to be. Every time she's confronted with a battle, she ends up getting captured.
  5. I don't think the NWN forums have any stickied topics, whereas KOTOR2 has 5 of them.
  6. I don't mind them mentioning the characters. I just don't really want to read stories about those characters.
  7. Not really sure where you're getting your evidence to support these theories. Considering Anakin's the "chosen one", I'd say he's the one with superior in Force ability.
  8. It gives her that one extra "advantage". If she's physically attractive, then she could more easily seduce weaker or untrained male Jedi more easily, as well as manipulate males with no Force ability. It's not really a sexist thing. It's just a fact that attractive females seem to have a massive control over a vast majority of men and can more easily get them to do her bidding.
  9. That would be kind of cool, but I don't know how long that prophesy has been around for. Anyone who is familiar with the TotJ (Nur?), did they believe the "Force is out of balance"? Or was this a later thing closer to the days of Yoda, Mace and Palpatine?
  10. The deal's already been signed: Two hardcover books will be written about the Old Republic during the TOTJ-KOTOR era. One will be by Drew Karpyshyn, who was the head writer for KOTOR, and other is by Elizabeth Hand. Karpyshyn's will appear in the middle of 2006, Hand's in late 2007. Which would fit well in with the timeline for K3, should it come. EDIT: Fixed release dates...added comment about K3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The problem with writing books about KOTOR is that there are too many different possibilities of things happening that a novel might not fit with what some people played their game through as. For instance, some people are in love with Bastila. What if the author decides to go with the "Revan killed Bastila on the SF" scene? Then there'd be outcry. I don't mind books set in that era, but not specifically about the events or characters of the KOTOR series video game.
  11. Bingo! I wonder how many would still pick Bastila if Bastila was a dude.
  12. Anakin would end up slaughtering her in her sleep after having enough of her nagging and lectures.
  13. Customability all the way. I was fine with the Revan revelation in KOTOR because I figure, why not, it's a bit plot twist. But I don't want to see it repeated because it'll a)lose it's impact and b)seem like a rehash of old ideas. I'd rather my character forge his own identity.
  14. The key phrase is "believed to be". If you read the latest XBN preview, it stated that the remaining Jedi have disbanded and are in hiding. Your character just seems to be the only Jedi remaining who hasn't tried to hide his/her identity or gone into hiding. Don't forget even though you finished the game LS, the war took a huge toll on the Jedi numbers, especially considering a lot of Jedi were probably killed on Dantooine when Malak bombarded the planet. So even if at the end of KOTOR 1 the LS "won", that doesn't mean their numbers weren't severly down.
  15. I don't agree. I think the prequels have lacked the "Star Wars feel" that the original trilogy had. That's not to say that I didn't like them, or that RotS doesn't have a shot at being the best ever, but so far I'd take the OT over the PT. I just don't see Anakin having children with a 4000 year old woman/corpse.
  16. The Dark Lady of the Sith will zap you with the indefenseable Force Nag. It gives splitting migraines to anyone in radius.
  17. Sure, why not. It'll help keep the general discussion clear of EU debates and more "general" Star Wars threads.
  18. Maybe you'll have the option of buying Juhani off an exotic species dealer.
  19. Reading the latest previews, it sounds like the ONLY question you'll be asked, besides a LS or DS ending, is if Revan was male or female. I was hoping for a bit more indepth than that.
  20. Then you missed out on the alternate ending and half the reason KOTOR was enjoyable.
  21. I may be wrong, but I thought one of the devs mentioned that you'd be able to use each tier of Force power, instead of only being able to use the "strongest" tier you've gained.
  22. I'd agree with this, since a lot of topics seem to be about the effect KOTOR has on the EU timeline, so instead of stuff being moved to way off topic, it can go to its own KOTOR forum.
  23. C-3PO talks about being the property of a Captain Antilles. Plus I've heard the name Bail Antilles before, but I can't remember where.
  24. And I'm saying that you're not even close with that one. Malak was a padawan and there is no indication that, other than riding Revan's coattails, was he even a good lightsaber fighter. Dooku, on the other hand, proved he was by defeating TWO Jedi and fighting a third (and a Jedi Master at that) to a draw.
