  1. So the high end D9E 9800 Card will have 65nm technology, while the lower end model will have 55nm technology? That sounds odd. Sounds like they want to come out with another high end 55nm card soon after the release of there already high end D9E card.
  2. Mortal Kombat Armegeddon ending was pathetic. All that work and the ending is you on the same arena that you defeated the boss, as you punch and kick in the wind for practice. And a few lines of drivel... And the Fatalities are all the same for every character, theres no specializes fatalities! Mortal Kombat without its fatalities is like Kool Aide without sugar!
  3. The Radeon 3850 HD sells for $180. Much faster then the 8600GT. I'm not sure how many pounds or Euro's it would cost since the stores there always charge more.
  4. It might have not released yet, but I've read the title hear and there that its been finished. It has the new die shrink just like the 8800gt does. still takes a lot of power though.
  5. What model do you have? I bought a Dell Latitude D610 Pentium M 1.7Ghz 1Gig Ram ATI X300 GPU 80Gig HD 5400rpm The only thing i regret is getting a smaller screen a 14.5 i think it is. Its kinda old i bought it used online, but it runs great. I can even run Unreal Tournament 2004 without a hiccup. Although i am too lazy to bring out a mouse, and i have a desktop for that anyway. I generally use this for school, internet, and point and click adventure games. I bought this on impulse for $375.
  6. I would add 4 gigs if you plan on serious gaming on Vista. Then again how good is the 8600GT compared to the new 8800m?
  7. Same here, theres always an older adventure game that i can try out. And they always require little system requirements so i can even play them on my laptop.
  8. Never the less the US has been behind in the Information age race which is the next big wave hitting the world. If the US is going to stay a productive nation we HAVE to ride this wave, using our creative abilities I believe is our main facet of survival.
  9. How costly could it be for developers to start selling a their own games online? The biggest issue they would have to worry about would be piracy prevention right? I don't know what im really talking about but it seems they are letting themselves get raped by the big dogs that aren't really needed anymore.
  10. All i remember Billary saying is "2 years at a school in Indonesia is not foreign policy."
  11. Geeze you guys have it bad! That is expensive. I'm surprised Steam doesn't offer a equal dollar amount to others currency, that seems unethical. I think pretty soon the corporate middle man might take a beating on this. Music artists are starting to fight for the fans, maybe game developers will start to release their own games on the web, then again look at steam... $80 bucks... for crysis... after spending $300 on a gpu just to play it! And a decent computer on top of that! Well the devs deserve their money for their hard work, but maybe we could email some of them to get the ball rolling?
  12. I wish i could get my hands on a Gabriel Knight Trilogy on a DVD instead of however many CD's it would take. So annoying to switch 6 cd's! Ahh memories, Kings Quest 1 was the first game i ever played on a screen. I remember typing obscene words as a little kid to see what would happen. Also Polive Quest took a major dump when it turned into SWAT i thought. I never played Space Quest, or Quest for glory is it? Ill have to check these out.
  13. Currently won't work with the new Penryn processors, though it's confidently expected they'll eventually stumble on a fix. And as I'd be getting a C2D now with an eye to picking up a quad core in a year or so, when hopefully more than just, say, Crysis supports it, that's an issue. And I dunno if the 780is around the corner will have the same issue or not. Which has got me thoroughly wishing ATI cards could stand a chance these days, since every other alternative mobo I'm looking at will handle Crossfire just fine and dandy. I'm glad i bought my Asus Commando P965 then! I was worried about the comaptibility, i won this lottery! I doubt Ill ever use dual video cards anytime soon anyway. Id rather just spend a large sum on one great video card then spend my tuition on 2. I can always wait till the next generation video cards will come to play the present games maxed anyway.
  14. This is why you want to look at reviews before you buy any hardware, although the issues might still settle after the4 BIOS revisions get better and better, look at the Nvidia 680i for example, complete poop when it came out, now its what it should have been when it first came out.
  15. I'm looking forward to Presents under a crucified tree! Unfortunately even after i built my new system i wonder how it will play unreal (system requirements!) Tournament 3. I also have Orange Box Bioshock and Syberia 2 on the list of goodies. but the game i really want is DukeNukemFornever.
  16. Everything In Its Right Place - Radiohead I have also been listening to Saul Williams first cd recently. His newer one just does not seem as focused.
  17. I ha a religion class in College that was just fascinating, Comparative Religions, and I learned a lot about peoples root beliefs, struggles, differences and similarities. Teach it all you want, just not as science, but as humanities and philosophy. As for critical thinking, science takes a lot of that, and faith isn't a way to critically think, thus keep it out of sciences.
  18. Good watch thanks! I also thought the Irreducible Complexity theory had another logical error. Sure if you take pieces away it wouldn't work, but what if they were more pieces and evolution took away to make the whole more efficient? To add logical arguments to the scientific battlefield is going all the way back to the ontological argument during the dark age with Anselm and Gaunilo. All of this just to start a Wedge to create a future for religion into science. Its amazing how much some of the founding fathers had an impact as much as they did. Most of the country was Christian, and to be able to do what they did was remarkable.
  19. Asus Maximus Formula Intel
  20. woAH, Forgot all about that game.... good times, good times
  21. Honestly, from the reviews and benchmarks a lot of these cards sound nice. BUT I want to play Unreal 3 max'd out. I want to play all the games that are out now, and i want there engines to be good use on my computer. With the graphic card benchies I've seen, i can only get good benches, not F'n great. I'll just wait till the new gen of graphic cards comes around. I have a 7900GTO, which is decent enough to play the games I already own. Any news on DNForever?
  22. skim through the TSLRP progress reports, that won't take long.
  23. I just watched Vanilla Sky. Its one of my favorite movies really. Penelope Cruz plays such a good love proximity infatuation. I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan but he did a good job of playing an a-hole. I rented Perfume a story about a murderer. I heard it was good from a good source.
  24. Which one? There is a newer one and an older one. I just played the older one, i think its called a A Road Adventure. many of the main characters lines made me cringe. It was a solid adventure, i just didn't fancy the characters lines very much.
