  1. Apple is like a cult. Some are unaware of what is going on, some are just plain crazy, but their still all fruits. Some of their software is great, and its also not as big of a target for hackers since apple computers don't have as big of a share in the computer industry. Other then that, i don't care about the superficial light, or ergonomic power button. They can have their polished turd, my machine will out run theirs any day and i spent half as much on it.
  2. I enjoyed oblivion and all of its extras...
  3. "Knights of the Old Republic" fans have been waiting both patient and impatiantly on this project, and they keep jumping the bugs report up and down. I guess my questions are: 1. Blah Blah Blah 2. blah blah blah 3. Does anyone besides me think this whole project is one big laughable con? I mean seriously, who in their right mind would waste 2.5 years on a game mod, which doesn't contribute to anything in the real world? If someone came up to me and said, "I spent 2.5 years on the development of a game mod." I would say, "Since you spent so much time on a game and nothing serious, why the hell should I hire you for my company?" What a big waste of time. I dont think i would call this thinking logically. Your trying to be skeptic but its coming out Cynical. I can't believe i read your post, What a big waste of time.
  4. OMG NOLF2!!!
  5. Im guessing there is probability wise. Will we ever see them since the universe expands? Probably not unless they can go faster then light speed.
  6. Sounds pretty horrible. It is if you're gay. Your government is crazy.
  7. We are going OT a little here.... but, what do you mean there? Clicky!!!
  8. I was all over the board because civil rights is connected to many other issues. It varies from state to state but coming from Michigan where there are many colleges, and a superb Teaching college literally a 10 minute bike ride away, it is disappointing to see our system the way it is. Michigan's greatest export is probably our teachers. No Child Left Behind underfunded, The importance of standardized testing may be more important than the quality of education, test, test, test. Child burn out from the increasing workload for children since they start at an earlier age, and get heavier loads. When economies go bad whats the first thing the state starts to cut? Much of the time its education. extra curricular activities and electives like art and music ( especially at earlier grades.) Teachers are getting heavier and heavier loads of mandatory paperwork and curriculum to pass such standardized testing to get funding from the federal government. Much of Michigan's problems have to do with economics and inept educational administrations. Here in Michigan its becoming more privatized also, with charter, Christian and private schools popping up here and there where teachers don't have to pass a state test. And these schools have no extra benefit educationally,Their flocking towards them robbing money from the public schools. Its like they forgot WHY public schools were created. I can understand wanting your child to go to an L33T school for sure though but these schools are just average at best. Speaking of Civil Rights Issues Brown Vs Board of Education was overturned recently.
  9. I always wonder why Rev Al Sharpton and Rev Jesse James never vouch for Gay rights since i believe it is a huge civil rights issue. Its a schism in the American populous, and helped decide how many Christian fundamentalist vote, and since the Christian Fundies helped win the election... I"m guessing gay civil rights issues are not doing so well. Look at that hypocrite Ted Haggard and you'll see whats wrong with the Bibles interpretation what being gay is. Its a disease that has to be treated to the fundamentalist. It says being gay is a sin in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Christianity has a HUGE impact on society, thus why it has a impact on gay rights. This nation was not founded as being a Christian nation, but the majority were. Although the founding fathers were not, most were deists. But the Moral Zeitgeist is slowly progressing in the US. I believe we just need less fear mongering because religion is more prevalent in a fearing atmosphere. Instead tighten our social structure like much of Europe already is. I think or weak social structure is largely to blame why we are behind on our civil rights. But with the corruption of the current administration, and the ignorance of the main populace, i wonder how long it will take before we get anywhere... Do people ever sit down anymore and think things through, form ideas, or is it some wrestling match Kerry Vs Bush... Woah, look bush has a chainsaw and hes on a jet standing atop rubble! I hear people say liberal as a bad word and ELITE as a bad word... I would want someone elite doing surgery on me. Meanwhile our education system is in shambles.
  10. Actually Kaftan you are not far off. Clinton fired everyone because they were all Republican appointees. That did set a precedent because to my knowledge, prior to that the US Attorneys Office was pretty apolitical. One thing about the US, once precedent is set, it never goes back to the old way again. Can you elaborate on this? My presumptions was that Alberto Gonzales' firing where unprecedented. Also how can Clinton Fire the attorney general lawyers for individual states? I thought the President couldn't do that, the attorney general is the boss not the president.
  11. This thread should be labeled Why People Are Stupid. They obviously hate us for our freedom. How many times does the president have to say it. On a serious note, for everybody that hates America (do they mean north and south america? Maybe they don't mean the US really, just cuba) I am willing to give away a free bear hug! RAWR! Come on, who wants one! Plenty of 'TEETH to go around!
  12. Not to belittle that situation, but what is Ann Arbor like? I'm starting at UMich this September and never had a chance to visit. Ann Arbor is great i think! It's one of the most liberal small cities in the nation. You can get everywhere by riding a bike or walking. They have neat stores and restaurants everywhere, very culturally diverse and aware. There is only one city in Michigan that is prospering during Michigan's economical slump and thats Ann Arbor, they just brought Google in there too. They have a cool little STATE THEATER where they play various indie films in the middle of downtown. I believe the art museum is unfortunately going to be closed for sometime now for renovation. Blind Pig always has different bands come in. Ann Arbor is just a fun liberal city with plenty of new stuff to experience.
  13. I'm playing KOTOR1 still. At Manaan the last planet. I can never seem to get everybodies story in one game. Isn't Dustil in this game at Korriban? And also there are suppose to be Mandelorians in Tantooine in the desert but THey haven't popped up.... Weird. Im a scout/Consular. My powers are force choke, Electrocute, Heal, Saber throw, Rest of my team mates have passive force powers so i can do the hacking and slashing. When I kill someone do the EXP POINTS get divided up or to that person?
  14. Here in Michigan racism is still around but its kept under wraps, but I've noticed the further south you go the more upfront it is. Its very sad that these racists can't see that people of different ethnicities are still from the human RACE. Their only differences come from different adaptive qualities brought down the line from their ancestors. Its good to mix genes, and supposedly opposites do attract much of the time. I remember when 911 occurred and my girlfriend telling me the story of your average Joe white guys behind her slurring racial stuff at her because she has a dark complexion that apparently looked Arabic to them(1/4 Japanese really.) And this was on a COLLEGE CAMPUS of all places. Living in a mixed community I've even felt discrimination. Keep your car locked and parked somewhere where it is not completely hidden. My car was broken into recently too, also the word "****" was scratched on it. Nice i know. It must really be tough for women to sometimes go out and just do stuff sometimes... I mean like take a jog in the after noon alone, walk to school etc... Has anybody heard of the Eastern Michigan incident recently? I live RIGHT by it in Ann Arbor... My girlfriend does to EMU! How horrifying for the family...
  15. Considering my g/f is black, no. Not really. What state do you live in?
  16. Dont you love it when you are eating with someone who was "dieting" and they order a healthy salad and drown in in real dressing? Or pizza with a diet soda? Too funny. I can totally relate to the diet soda! The Aspartame in Diet sodas are horrible for peoples health too, stay away. How about these new ENERGY drinks like MONSTER ENERGY DRINK... Insane stuff, a person use to get those drinks in the morning and you could tell when they crashed every day around 11am. Poor guy looked depressed. not to mention the cup of sugar and concentrated Caffeine. Stay away.
  17. I've got to admit, there are WAY to many + sizes running around here. What can you expect from the country that invented the Big Mac. Salad dressing AND mayo on a burger? Jeez, no wonder the leading cause of death among males here is heart disease. Or the inventor of the 12 thousand calorie SALAD!!! (taco salad with the works)
  18. I am 5''11 with an athletic build i weight 182lbs. My upper body makes it diffucult to buy a shirt that really fits. Since i need a shirt that fits a large upper body it means i need a larger size, but since my height is rather average the larger size shirt hangs 4 inches too low all the time. But if i get a shirt that fits my height and not my upper body then it fits all tight making me look like a beef cake and the sleeves are extra high like Im showing my guns at a show. Meh! Sizes that fit me vary from small to Xlarge, but most brands don't fit at all.
  19. No Penryn is the blanket term for the Wolfsdale/Yorkfield series of processors. Intel has a new method to kill AMD. Tick-Tock method. They create a new type of processor, then later on they optimize it, then they create another new type of processor, the later on optimize it etc, etc.... Penryn is the name of the this processor that is being optimized, which are both the wolfdale and yorkfield i believe. Both will be in PC's I believe.
  20. I am. Do you need a hug? you seem awfully negative. Send me a supermodel If your still thinking about this game at the end of 5 years, who is it that needs the hug? I'm going to finish it in a day or so, take it off my computer and promptly forget about it. As it should be. It is a great game, I really like the combat system and the characters and the story are pretty interesting but come on, 5 years? I find some games to be more than just a game. Games can also be a form of art, when this happens i like to experience it over and over again. Going over the game with a fine comb to savor it. Do you buy a CD to listen to it once then put it back on the shelf? Our opinions are just that, opinions. I personally wouldn't discourage someone from their artwork, art can create meaning for people, and that can bring happiness and tranquility to their lives, while creating the same for those who are playing their products. I don't care how many times i look at Mount Rushmore, its still great. A toast for the modders and game developers for making this world a funner place!
  21. Click Me!!! What a pretty case!!! Hey Bok my bday is coming up can you buy me one!!!
  22. Firstly, the universe wasn't made of nothing it was made of matter/energy that always existed crashing and colliding finding compatibility. This clump of energy/matter formed a Super Cooled Higgs Field and triggered the big bang. Or so the hypothesis goes. Our observations are limited of course. Yet it doesn't try to make absolute knowledge from a book that contradicts itself with 2 different Genesis versions like the bible does inartfully. 1 art is subjective, if you want to call a tree or painting beautiful thats great. Evolution doesn't care of such things, evolution is a mechanism to create, just like your specific version of a god that co authors books and acts as a omniscient real estate agent to people of Judaism. 2 Given that time is infinite, a random event occurring, even with odds of 10 to the power of 119,000, is not astonishing. By the way, how do you formulate an equation without knowing all of the variables in the equation? This must be Christian math
