I just beat an adventure game called Runaway, it was terrible. now im playing Syberia. Next semester Ill be to busy to play anything between working fulltime and classes.

I agree, the switch from ATI to Nvidiathat i did years ago was like WTF?! And still to this very day they are just as behind. I remember when Nvidia started to SELL their Pure video where ATI had it for free, (was it PURE VIDEO?)
-
I like that!

I'm not a big fan of horror flicks because i can't stand the suspense, hehe. I guess thats why i like the cheaper horror movies like Evil Dead and Planet Terror. I did like 28 days later, although 28 weeks later was only so-so i thought.

Huh, what wall socket will be able to take a gaming hog with Quad SLI? Geeze i have to much time on my hands to make an image like this...

There were MAJOR problems with forceware and Oblivion, especially when compared to ATI.
-
Damn, you beat me to it! One of my favorite games of all time.

The rumor mills say these cards will be super cheap because of the 55nm, and price war. I read that the 3870 will be around $200 but i can't give you any credible source. Maybe Ill wait till this comes out. I've only had 1 ATI graphic card the 9500pro. It rocked! The best $130 I ever spent on a computer.

Ahhh the quick edit option skipped a beat. The Yorkfield is actually a 1333FSB and so is the Wolfsdale. Its the Skulltrail V8 that is 1600FSB.

Yup. The bacth of processors comming out now is "pennryn" and the next one dubbed "nehalm", will supposedly feature some major changes so it wont be possible to use the LGA775 socket anymore. I beg to differ. Penryn is the blanket term for 45nm CPU's. They branch off as the Wolfsdale (2 core CPU) and the Yorkfield (2 Wolfdales = 4 core CPU). Penryn will also use the LGA775 socket. My own motherboard the Asus Commando LGA775 Socket, Intel 965P Chipset supports the 45nm processors(with a BIOS update.) Not all motherboards of course will support this update because of hardware or capitalism issues. For instance the Quad core (Yorkfield) Penryns look like they will have a 1600FSB, that can be a big problem hardware wise, also the voltage for the CPU's will be different, so cross your fingers and check your mobo manufacturer. The Wolfsdale will have a 1333FSB.

I just have a 650 Antec true cool. It works just fine. reasonable price too.

Make sure you get a bomb motherboard, you WILL NOT REGRET IT. The motherboard is the back bone of your entire computer, it determines what you can and cannot upgrade. I bought the Asus Commando back in March and love it, it supports the new 1333FSB 45nm CPU's too, but Asus has newer motherboards out already with other RAM options and soon to support PCIE 2.0 The Penryn Yorkfeild (quad) 45nm processors look impressive. that paired with a 9800 series card is what i would want. The Coolermaster Cosmos Case looks pretty cool btw

Because its shiny! And you can turn windows in any direction while you play solitaire and surf the web for pRon.

Humes is a very consistent empiricist, how would his syllogism go w/ his billiard balls? I see your logic (created by Aristotle!) Im probably wrong since your a know-it-all but let me humor you. Is the Humes billiard ball theory equivalent to being an Agnostic towards everything cause and effect? So in "effect" to bring Humes up is to take evidence and facts away from the argument and start back over again, only to end it with throwing the baby out with the bath water? I think you just helped me with a realization!

Its the just unified shaders have a graphical impact. Its not the DX10, but the setup of the cards which are unique only to DX10.

Your right, I dont want to wait till next year! this 8800GT is THE sweet spot for graphic performance, i guess i should take advantage and get $100 for my old 7800GT somewhere. The only thing I'm iffy about is that it won't support DirectX 10.1 Im not sure if that means it wont support the updateed directX 10.1 now or later...
-
Have you tried UT3 yet Bok? How does it run on your jet strapped to a cpu of yours? I can only play it smoothly with settings on low! I'm debating whether to get a new just released 8800GT with the new die shrink or just wait till the Geforce 9 series comes out. THen again the 8800GT is only $250 and its faster then the 8800GTS! How much of a performance boost do you think Ill get from a 7800GT 256MB overcloced to a 8800GT 512MB.

Planet Terror I stopped it 1/2 way through, i guess im not a zombie fan. Fantastic 4: Rise of The Silver Surfer Big fan of Silver Surfer, had a ton of his comics growing up, including the infinity Gauntlet series and prequels. But i didn't like this movie much. The humor was a turn off most of the time. Alba is Hot but the blonde hair looks odd. The Military guy and his attitude rubbed me the wrong way. I guess the only thing i liked about it were the scenes with the silver surfer, that and the shadow of Galactus. Can't wait to see Iron Man the movie!!! Transformers was great! I wish they focused more on just the story and less action, but who cares, it was awesome!

if you get the correct RAM you will not overheat your computer. How much ram are you looking at getting? 2 gigs for XP is the max you really need. What graphic card is on it anyway?
-
I love that jab. Can I quote that? Of Course!

It was in spite of you! I ask the same type of question everyday at work. Why do i paint with white paint at work nearly everyday? And the answer is racism.

I've played the UT3 Beta Demo. Its fun, but i liked the game play and weapons on UT2K4 more. The system requirements must be through the roof because my machine was having trouble acquiring a stable frame rate and I have a relatively midrange to high end machine right now. when the new graphic chipset comes out ill get snatch one and see.

Knocked Up finally. Great movie! Most romantic comedies make me feel uncomfortable. I liked the a nal wife she was hilarious!
