Yes the US has major problems. Its depressing to read the news most of the time. But Ill take reality over some fairyland, and make the best of it.

Never heard of the Age of Aquarius. But generally all Major religions happened during the Axial Age. Or atleast thats the train of thought he was going after when he dubbed it.

PCI-E 2.0 has 2X the Bandwidth and 2X the direct power to video cards that regular PCI-E 1.0 has. Im trying to find a motherboard with PCI-E 1.1a, but i can't find one. It seems like its an urban myth to me, because from what i gather the P965 Intel chipset has 1.0. Im not sure about the 680i, but that came out the same time as my motherboard the Asus Commando P965 Chipset. We might be in the clear if we have 1.1a it will be at least compatible with half the bandwidth. My speculation from reading on the topic is: 1.0 will run 1 2.0 GPU, but not 2 GPU on crossfire. But will only have 8gb bandwidth. 1.1a Will run 1-2 Gpu's. But will only have the 8gb bandwidth. 2.0 Will run 1-2 GPU's. Will run at 16gb bandwidth. But I haven't found a good source yet. I emailed Asus on the topic, and will share the email sometime next week.

Best Graphics Cards at Present and in the Future
WITHTEETH replied to Magister Lajciak's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
The graphic cards above have Dual Processors on 1 PCB. Notice the 2 tension clips on the PCB, 1 for each processor. I would rather they follow AMD, or Intels lead, by just making multi core processors, instead of plopping 2 down in one PCB, but its s step above slapping 2 PCB's together and shoving it in 1 slot. The 7900GTX2 had mega heat, and horrible drivers, from what I've read. -
Speaking of bleeding edge Bok, whats going on with the new spec PCIE 2.0? I've been trying to follow it, but so far the news is depressing to me and my motherboard. I have a Asus Commando P965 just bought early this year. It has a PCIE 16X and a PCIE 4X that can run Crossfire. I don't care to run dual video cards ever. Now the new PCIE Version 2.0 is compatible with PCIE version 1.1, but not 1.0. So my question is, is my 9 month "old" motherboard outdated, and wont be compatible with the new graphic cards coming out in February? Maybe my motherboard is PCIE 1.1, but i don't see any version number anywhere on the web yet. Or maybe they will give a miracle BIOS update. I know Bearlake is compatible. Warning, I might make a rant soon if I find out my motherboard is going the way of the Dodo.

Think what she would do for a 8600GT!!!

So far I haven't gotten into UT3. Since there are fewer jump combos theres less chance to move and dodge rockets/flak. My favorite weapon in UT2K4 was the Lightning Gun but they terminated it in this game, along with the shield gun. Thats alright, after all it is a different game. But i think Ill stick with UT2K4 because of the faster game play. The graphic options were disappointing to me also. In UT2K4 you could customize EVERYTHING, in this game you have 5 different levels period. Unless you go into the game file and change it manually. They have the shock Rifle at least, my second favorite gun. When I go online, theres not many people playing it. That disappoints me a bit. Can't wait till March when i get my new graphic card!!!

I doubt that website is credible. Although the picture of the ATI X2. With the 2 processors on the same PCB is real i think. -

The 3870 X2 Notice anything different? -
Bok is correct. Don't buy SLI mobo and plan to upgrade to a new video card later because- a: a single next generation card could blow 2 Cards in SLI mode out of the water. b: buying one later when the next series is already out wastes energy. c: cost, you could buy a top of the line graphic card each generation and still be high end.

I doubt it will be D9 as their first "full Power Flagship", because I've been reading from multiple sources it will be D8 architecture still. Why they want to do that I'm unsure. IMO its because they have time to slow down due to ATI. So we the consumers lose out somewhat. -

Expreview: 9600GT to be the first product of Geforce 9 series Not sure how dependable this site is though. -
GTA III. I just met up with the DEA guy who makes CJ do ridiculous missions. I really hate the plane controls with a Keyboard. Zero's missions are accomplished. I can never get the sex appeal high for some reason.

The 8800GT is about $280 Its the best value around. The 2nd best value is the ATI 3870, its runs about $240. And the 3850 which is about $200 i believe. If you want to wait, then you can always wait and buy a better card. The toughest Question is, what Mobo are you going to invest in? -

They meant megabytes, not bits. and those numbers are strange, only the GTS version of the 8800 series have them. I don't remember why they chose to go out of uniform, but apparently it worked just fine. -
Are you being facetious?

We had about 8 inches of snow this morning. I surprisingly had work off, so when i came back i noticed my apt manager trying to move her car, she got it out after 30 minutes of shoveling. This is how far she has to move it.

A laptop running SLI? Have you tried doing a clean boot? Just pop it in the dishwasher and put it on heavy load. -
They've lost 2 cases recent;y. -For not giving security deposits back. That resulted in a court order to give all resident their security deposits back. -For not letting a disabled man pay his rent 4 days late every time because thats when his disability comes. They even evicted him, then they lost the case.
