Yeah, they were easy to read - and your PC is, like you said, neither the worst nor the best out there. I googled the model number on the screenshot, and if you haven't already upgraded the system RAM you might want to consider doing that. RAM would definitely help! 1 Gig in windows vista is like 512MB in XP. 2gigs and you will see a HUGE performance boost. Youll still see some performance boosts with 4 gigs also, if you are interested in multitasking, high resolutions and graphic intensive games.

Hmm so all motherboards that support penryn Im talking about (975,965,Missing one in this spot... fill in the blank, 38X, 48X) will be set for Yorkfields, and thats about the last generation of cpus that will be compatible, correct, or no?

Bioshock It has a lot of character. The theme is very refreshing to me. My "new" graphic card likes to artifact with everything on high, so i play on medium settings with high textures and its ok. It seems to be a common problem, especially with the 8800GT's....

I've been playing around with my grahic card lately. 8800GT factory overclocked at 650 and 950. Loaded BIOSHOCK up and got what looked like space invaders... ARTIFACTS!!!! I put the card back the base standard for the 8800GT 600 and 900 and it runs fine again. I can't return it because i got it on Ebay... It was such a good deal, still is, as long as it doesn't do it anymore. I ran a stres test and it passed. I wonder if there is a more effective way to cool it. I have a pci fan that has 2 fans blowing striaght on it, plus a 120mm fan to the right of the card for more airflow. The load temp is 61C idles at around 57C doesn't seem strange, although my last card ran MUCH cooler with the same setup. Check sig for picture of my airflow. note, that is my old graphic card.

I usually upgrade something every year. Whether it be Ram, GPU, CPU, Monitor, Less noisy keyboard so my girlfriend can do her homework while i save the world.... I upgrade my entire computer in 4-5 years.

Is this new 6 core nehalem going to be compatible with the mobos that support 1333FSB? I think the highest my motherboard will support so far are the new Yorkdales 1333FSB quad core 45nm cpus. that might be the nail in the coffin upgrade for my 965P mobo. whats the last CPU your mobo will support bok?

You can get a 8800GT for 220 at Micro Center or you can get a 9600GT thats nearly as fast for 169 at Clubit. Those are a couple sweet spots. I personally bought a 8800GT

this is the means by which the federal government unconstitutionally took power from the states. similar problem with the drinking age. congress couldn't pass laws that forced certain issues, so they simply extorted the states into submission by witholding funds. taks Do the states have any strings that they can pull back for balance of power? Senate/congress?isn't it the legislative branch that can change balance this back out? So they do have power if they can agree upon the issue correct? For the foreseeable future i agree. The 9800GTX2 looks crappy. Its basically 2 8800GTS's slapped together with added 10.1 support for around a 30% increase i read from HardOCP. The 9600GT looks ok. Theres one at Club it now for $169 + Tax and shipping. For the most part its nothing new still. Thats why i caved in and bought a 8800GT. Its cheap and I can get a new one down the line. The 9800GTX comes out march right? That one im keeping an eye on. Bok - when are you going to upgrade your CPU man?

Friend of mine started brewing his own beer. Theres many local brewers around here where i live, Ann Arbor Michigan. I myself rarely drink, and only when my body starts to hurt, it helps numb the physical pain. I enjoy a Summer Ale once in awhile.

The bug had to do near the end with the status that you have to find and put on te correct pedestal, I believe it was in Mings place.

I played that a few months ago again with the "TRUE" unofficial patches. I was nearly at the end until a game stopping bug ruined me game. Weak. I ave to start it up again and play a female character that hears voices next time!

Still playing Oblivion with the OOO Mod and other graphical mods... This OOO mod feels like a restoration project, its awesome. Speaking of restoration, i hope to see progress for TSLRP soon... ... ...

The 9600GT is out! Its nearly as fast as my 8800GT but also nearly the same price. You can get a 8800GT for $220-260, the 9600GT's are selling for $210 at newegg. Might as well get the 8800GT.

Yes DX10 cards are compatible with DX9.

Got it for $220 with shipping off ebay new. Also sold my 7900GT for $80 bucks and Unreal Tournament 3 for $25 so this card only cost me $115. Night and day difference between Oblivion and Stalker! Used some compressed air on my machine while i waited for my card to come... looking spiffy.
