Thats a lot of foliage, whats your average FPS with your monster rig in heavy foliage places like that one?

Any anisotropic filtering? The textures look very washed, I thought they were teh crispness for their time... Yes there is anistropic filtering, I enabled it now. I used the Print screen option and then added it to Paintshop, that method always washes out the image unfortunately. It does look crisper then paintshop allows. Payne stands through the test of time i think. Max Payne 2 looks great also, but the differences are just minor tweaks between the 2 games.

In defense of Oblivion there are many mods to help the leveling process like Fransecos and the OOO Mod. Also mods to control the gates.

What really bugged me Stalker is that I was failing missions left and right without even knowing about it. The atmosphere of the game made me uninterested too surprisingly. The engine was always choppy too which always bugged me.

I must say, it strikes me odd when humans claim great absolute truths from subjective grounds. These people are not very humble by way of knowledge gathering. On one hand there are subjective statistics based on nature. On the other hand there is a absolute veridical text based on something other then nature, what that is I can not know because I only work in nature.

Whatever you do get your graphic cad and CPU last. They change prices drastically. I typically go somethign in this order Case > Case Accessories > Powerspply > Drives > Mobo > RAM > CPU > GPU Go to the hardOCP Forum under hot deals for awesome sales.

Existentialism also believes in a radical freewill. Sartre for instance just calls the brain to complex so there must be freewill. Freewill is one of the main precepts of existentialism, and the requirement to change and live consciously.

A common western theistic belief if that we do have freewill, but god being omniscient knows what we are going to do. We express our freewill by we WILL it, actively causing something. Passive actions don't count as free will. But this idea of free will with not only an omniscient god, but also omnipotent. It gets complex when its the same god who determines the snow storm that makes you late. Its called compatibilism or soft determinism. Believing in freewill and determinsm is like believing in God and no god at the same time to me, not logical. EDIT: geeze that was bad!

NOLF never sold well, it got great reviews and theirs a cult following. I also played Contract Jack, it was based in the NOLF world. It was HORRIBLE. One of the worst games I've ever played. Contract Jack was an experiment because the female main character was thought to be the main problem with the franchise.

The Quad core from intel are really two Core2Duos slapped together, not integrated well. It works ok, but some say its not a TRUE quad core. If you really have the extra money you could just get a better cooler and overclock the SOB! Or dump it on a better GPU, thats the biggest performance factor.

4 gigs even works on my WinXP 32bit, why wouldn't it work on Vista 32 bit?

They are my favorite FPS. Complex, story driven, great gameplay followed by style.

You could always get a midgrade CPU like a E8400 or E6600 (Bok has one for sale ) and make sure your mobo can upgrade to a better Quad. Just make sure your mobo will support a good quad in the future. And buy another midrange Quad (which would be a better then a present mid range quad now) later on when the games can actually utilize the power. Unless you only want to upgrade the CPU once, then go all out. If you plan on using SLI make sure to get a bit more power, and also look at the GPU Power plugs, make sure they have 8pci Plug adapter and not just the traditional 6.

I would just get the E8400 Wolfdale like Bok has. It only has 2 cores, but not many apps take advantage of 4 yet, especially games. Motherboard looks good, are you planing on doing SLI? 4 gigs of ram if your going to do VISTA. What case are you planning on getting? I have a Gigabyte 570 Aurora thats awesome, Bok has a CM Stacker 830 and there is a new CM Cosmo out too. I have consider antec always as a sweet spot for quality and power wattage. I have a 650 Trio and it works great, runs cool.
