  1. No, I think you're probably right - it certainly makes sense. I likely just misinterpreted the way that roster menu works. I do stuff like that more and more often these days.
  2. Cleaned house, squished a lot of black widows in the garage, a little PoE, more homebody thingies, stuffed my face on not quite burnt homemade pizza rounds, now going to watch an hour or two of TV, then more PoE. Although I'm getting eager to try the new version of 7 days to die as well, which came out a bit ago, too....
  3. Nope! Homemade sourdough round pizza with mushrooms, tomatoes and ... pepperoni. Does that count?
  4. Hm. I only saw an option to dump current party members into the Stronghold in favor of a new, which I thought meant I'd have to trek back to the Stronghold to switch them out again. Probably just missed seeing a button or something like that. Anyway I mostly didn't pick her up then because she force-encounter ambushed me in the middle of me wanting to travel here to there for a quest and I didn't want to spend time talking to her yet. >.>
  5. So the paladin (I think?) companion was still nowhere to be found ... then I finally did some little quest related to that building where she showed up initially, and towards the end of that she popped in out of nowhere to be a part of it. Then she went to stand outside of said building and seems to remain there forever now, if I don't recruit her. An odd way to do things. What if one never did/accepted that quest? Then she's just gone forever? But good to know in case you accidentally say no to her initial approach - she does come back. If you do that quest anyway.
  6. On hindsight I probably should have spent time splitting the thread up into two but my supper was starting to burn...
  7. Aha, so that's why Durance isn't talking to me despite the quest log. I thought maybe it was all the ogre blood in my armor. Smelly stuff, hard to wash out. Sounds like a great list.
  8. This has got to be one of the strangest thread directional sprawls I've seen. Sausage worship and LGBT community discussion/debate/concerns should perhaps be left to separate threads, even in WoT. Feel free to make them if you wish, but I'm going to close this one.
  9. I loved Dukes when I was a kid. My much older brother just raised his eyebrows at my dubious taste, but hey I was like 12-13 at the time. Good times.
  10. Did Eric or Carrie write the "flavor" exchanges between Eder and Aloth as you march around/progress? Because they are hilarious. Also, if you pick certain dialogue options in Aloth's Defiance quest, Eder's comments made me laugh enough that I had to reload to play it again.
  11. My husband does not adjust, he leaves. Although oddly, he's the sort who can jump into an almost-freezing temp. lake for a swim, yet will whine endlessly that he's freezing/too cold to do anything if it's 68F and the breeze is strong enough to ruffle his hair.
  12. I like having a few points in Athletics simply because I get tired of everyone whining "I'm so sleepy, can we stop a while?" every time I travel a couple maps. Outside of that I don't see much use for it. I haven't been using spell scrolls at all yet so I have little use for Lore, but I do see a function for it on casters so they can cast spells when their spell limit runs out vs. only using a wand (eg, don't have to rest as often if you want). So important for caster usability. Stealth - I'm not a Rogue person so honestly I have little use for it. I've been pumping it a bit recently on one npc so I can get a little closer which as mentioned, is nice for positioning. But not terribly necessary except on maybe the hardest gameplay options, which I haven't bothered with yet. Not to mention the (occasional) scripted scene that negates it entirely regardless by positioning you where you were not, at the end of the dialogue trigger.
  13. Heh, yup, I usually backpacked in warmer climates/elevations and seasons. Sometimes you'd get some rainshowers, that's about it.
  14. ^ See that's exactly what I love about camping/packing on that level. The views, or private little river pools/lakes all to yourself, and so on. You can't get that tenting in "Campsite #33" slot in some car campground. But it's too much bother for me now. So I just enjoy pictures of other people who still do it.
  15. Yeah, exactly. Key phrase in there is "teenager and in my twenties." Hubby really hates driving RV/large vehicles and I don't even want to try, so mostly we just stay in hotels/cabins now. Or snooze in the back of the van/car for a few hours, because we rarely stop anywhere long enough to seriously set up "camp" anyway. Or just stay at home with the cat. Mostly the last one.
  16. Ah, ok. If that's the case, I'd say it's not GPU overheating in your case then. 56C for a GPU is nothing these days. My 6-fan-only cooled system runs at 65C-75C endlessly while gaming, that's just "normal" in most cases. And if your CPU temp is also actually in F, then that's not a high CPU temp either. So I'm not sure what's going on with the freezing, sounds different than the OP's. ...I guess it's the topic creator ( Vayhle ) who had the nvidia 500 series GPU and higher GPU temps (although 85C is still not extreme/not a reason for lockup itself, usually but I guess it's getting higher too?). I knew I saw that somewhere.
  17. The great thing about the internet is I can turn it off or find another post that is more relevant to my personal interests. So no, not really.
  18. Edit: wait, why did I think you were using a nivida card? I swear I saw that. Must have been another post. All this post-approving gets me mixed up at times. Is the GPU driver up to date? I've recently had odd experiences with discovering some older nvidia drivers causing my 590 to run hotter than it maybe should during oddball times (like web browsing...). Although that 133C (I assume you meant C, not F) is extreme. Anyway...sounds like a puzzler. I'd guess it's some kind of driver conflict issue.
  19. I'd be for something like ... when shop window is closed, all non-magic wearable/paper-doll equipable items are deleted/not available to buyback etc. anymore. I can live with having "Fine" stuff still be there. But yes...all those plain spears, armors, helmets etc. Since the stash is endless, one can always just leave a few non-enchanted items in there in case you want to enchant them later.
  20. Seems to me that certain RTS strategy/sandbox games might be more to your liking, at least in this regard.
  21. Just a note: if you like to travel maps by opening the area/world map, clicking on an area and then waiting for the green circles travel there while leaving the 'world map' still open, you'll miss most of the flavor companion exchanges because of how they just suddenly mouth off/text pops up over their heads at trigger points/occasions. I've gotten new ones in the same areas, at different times, so they're not just 1st-time-you-arrive one-offs.
  22. Slight tangent: I don't like the "work" of but serious trail backpacking is definitely the only way to really see some of the awesome hidden places. Not something I've done a ton of personally, but yeah...totally awesome. Although sometimes the elevation usually takes a couple days for me to get used to. Even car-camping, we'd always try to get far far away from the normal track, driving on roads cars probably shouldn't be on, stuff like that. Hubby and I like to feel isolated. If we were the "last people on earth" we'd probably be very happy - for a while anyway.
  23. Aloth and Eder's exchanges re: Aloth's "condition" crack me up more and more. Both the quest related to it (which is HILARIOUS) and the little sidelines they pop up with while walking around. I don't care about Aloth as a wizard, but I can't get rid of him because of this feature between them. Went back to Defiance Bay and think I'm getting close to finishing most obvious quests there, so am going back to Dyrwood to finish those (and the Main quest). I have a very haphazard way of doing things. I seem to have Assassins trying to murder me as I walk about Defiance town now. Not sure why, guess they don't like my hero reps maybe. Whatever, they aren't a problem. Have fun. That level nearly destroyed me at lvl4 or 5. Maybe you'll have better luck. I still haven't gone to do lvl lvl 4 in there.
  24. Anymore silly "easter eggs" like this that people have found?
