Not that this would help in your particular case since you need two slots back, but I noticed that you can only have Fine/Exceptional or Damaging. That is, if you already have Fine enchant, and you think you can add Damaging2 on top of that ... well, you can't. Doing so makes "Fine" totally disappear. So ... if you/someone were short by one, maybe you could enchant with Damaging1, getting rid of Fine and thus gaining 1 point. ... um ... not sure I have the math right, but maybe?

Portraits for NPC
LadyCrimson replied to mungomunk's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Define "all." The only easily changeable npc portraits that I can see belong to Thaos and "that elf woman" plus the companions. They are .png's in the art folder, just like the player character portraits. Thus I'd assume you could overwrite them with a portrait of your own choosing, as long as it's the same name (copy the originals elsewhere first if you don't want to lose them). Other NPC's of the "meet and greet" or brief quest are probably in one of the asset bundles or something. -

regarding enchantments
LadyCrimson replied to jones092201's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I'm still a bit disgruntled that you can't even put a tiny enchantment on a cloak yourself. It would have been nice if putting tons of points in Lore would have allowed you to put a few minor enchants on helmets/capes etc. None of the big ones, just minor things. -
regarding enchantments
LadyCrimson replied to jones092201's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I looked with a lvl2 chr. and I think you're correct. And in that case ... @jones092201, are you looking at the Enchanting menu or the Crafting menu, when you say you don't see all the enchantments? (edit: oh wait, you mentioned Bash and stuff. I'm not sure those are available enchantments? The wiki may have some outdated info?) -

regarding enchantments
LadyCrimson replied to jones092201's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I think some of them don't show up until you reach certain clvls, then they magically appear in the Enchantment menus. -
Dear Diary: I'm antsy and bored today. I think I'm going to go buy a new deck lounge chair, make some margarita's and spend the rest of the afternoon toasting the high life while blasting The Hoff's new song for the neighbors. LC

Post count. New adventures await.

One of those films I expect to intensely dislike yet there's always that small chance...so maybe I should see it on the big screen just in case. But I'm usually too lazy to deal with the hassle of a theater even when I think I'd like a movie, let alone when I'm very doubtful. ...maybe I'll just buy an 70" TV and a new speaker system, instead.

I also would consider Durance on the "evil" side, if you read all his dialogues. An unpleasant (if occasionally comment-amusing) person indeed. But he's not eeeeveeelllllll. I don't find any of the companions super good or super evil in any obvious cliche ways (which I personally like). They have histories, beliefs and goals that they'll impart and you either agree/respect them or dislike/don't respect them or somewhere inbetween. Kind of like in real life.

Physical size of CE?
LadyCrimson replied to Waywocket's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
In my case, the actual mailing box the CE came in was basically a square cardboard box (not a flatish mailer) - 12 inches by 13 inches - with an air-filled bag to fill up the space. So definitely wouldn't fit in a mail slot or even in the average (USA) mailboxes. -
Towards the end I'm having difficulty with the same-y combat feeling (lots o' threads on that) but outside of that, I do love the game. With 5 companions in my group I've found them all to be at least worth the ride for the banter/humor and occasional pc-convo. Especially Eder. I've considered solo games but I don't think I could be without Eder so it'd have to be two. The art and dungeon layouts I've liked a lot. Questing has felt pretty good for what they put in. Overall I'm not disappointed - they could just use to tweak some combat mechanics, perhaps.

I was thinking about finally trying Alpha 11 of 7DtD but all the forum posts about it aren't too inspiring. Maybe if I turn the zombies off to get used to all the new mechanics first. PoE - I wonder what 6 Ciphers would be like. Or cheating Eder's stats and running with just him and a Cipher for the lulz. General: I think I need a new game again.

..after watching that music video, I couldn't stop myself. I apologize in advance.

You can always not read/fast click away and then toss darts at the screen when a dialogue number choice comes up. ...actually, I feel like I do that half the time because even tho I do read (or at least skim through) it all, I don't remember details for long enough to always feel like I can make an informed decision. In one eye and out the other, sometimes...

Boxed Version, Key already in use!
LadyCrimson replied to lelyv's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
...not a legit new copy, would be my guess. eg, you were ripped off. Either that or some oddball region locking effect. -
Yup, I felt similar just reading the one. GoT book 1 I bought at random one day and I struggled with a lot of boredom in the first half - then it became a bit interesting, and then by the last page I was "yes, I need to read the next one." Only there was no next one yet, and a couple years later I'd almost forgotten about it. Then it was suddenly this sooper popular series because the 2nd book took off or something. I find it kind of odd, really. Still, one day I'll get around to it. Although I wonder if I'd give up at book 3, too.

I definitely like the first half of PoE a lot more than the 2nd half. I could probably replay just Act1/part of Act2 repeatedly just to mess around. More maps and Raedric's whole quest/castle + a couple other small dungeons were a lot of fun. But Act3 in particular has more of a rushed feel to it. Or maybe you just get tired. I'll finish it, tho. I think I'm close to where I could get to the end before long, if I ignored doing all the side quests.
