Ancient Sith
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Jedi didn't hunt down the Sith. It was an accident, and the Sith were the ones that found the Jedi. After the Schism, the Jedi had to lick their wounds (again), letting many Sith flee, and all was forgotten, except by the Greatest minds of both factions. IMHO, Marka Ragnos was an ancient Revan. I'll just ignore the fact that his master was a floating head... -
Brianna's seems more of a romantic kind of thing, and Visas does sound more like kinship (Like Atton's love for the Jedi woman: For showing him the 'way'). If only Atris had a "Good luck my love. And may the Force be with you." line, with the concept art actually used for her, then THAT would have been my favorite... (Who says the line I quoted above? ).

Oh, and for the Telos thing: It's a messed up quest, so don't bother figuring it out. -

You should be able to get Mira's maxxed in the first or second convo... As for the Atton thing: You need to get him maxxed early, or it'll be really tricky later on. I'm not sure how I managed it on LS, but if you take Atton and help/kill all of the people living at the docks with JUST him (for a few times, then bring Visas or maybe Mira), then you can gain influence several times. I messed up on my DS play, because I was too 'involved' with Visas and DS Mastery for her... -
Jedi in this era (after the recent restructuring discouraging love and whatnot) don't necessarily serve one Master. Revan was a nomad, going from Master to Master, because nobody could satisfy his lust for knowledge for very long. Several other Jedi in the era also did similar things, if I remember right... Not many, though.

Being notoriously lazy, I'm assuming that nobody has answered any questions yet. Here's a SW timeline (all years are BBY: Before Battle of Yavin) 30,000 BBY: Infinite Empire at its hight 25,000 BBY: Infinite Empire crashes (find another thread for my hypothesis for it  ), Republic and the Order form. Nobody knows where the Order formed, but it was made out of 'scholars' that gathered to contemplate it and its uses, as well as learn to use it. 25,000-20,000 BBY: Great Shism, Dark Jedi flee to find the primitive Sith Species on a planet, quickly becoming Overlords. 8,000-5,000- Known Dark Lords rule, Great Hyperspace War. The Sith Empire wasn't wiped out, because the Republic retreated to lick its wounds, so some Sith MAY have survived. 4,000 BBY: Exar Kun comes and kicks butt, but is stopped by thousands of Jedi, only to emerge 4000 years later. 40 Years after the above: Revan and Malak, etc. Well, that's a watered down version of the timeline that I've gathered after years of 'study' .

Ideas for kotor 3? returning people? planets?
The Great Phantom replied to Draken's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Themes of the Kotor Series thus Far: 1: Redemption 2: Echoes/Dealing with the past (Not so much for Redemption, though) Personally I would like: 3: Rounding everything up, with a big battle scene, and the ending summing up the WHOLE point of Kotor in my mind: Sometimes you have to do what you know is right, even if it gets you in trouble (exiled, Darth-ed). The PC's have been: 1: Prodigy 2: Paradox I would like: 3: Person! I want to be an average shmoe, sent to find out what the heck happened to Revan. Bastila and Male LS Revan should be a part (if he dies, she either promises to hold to the light and finish his work, or dies with him). I'm willing to wait for Kotor III until 2007 ish. Until then, I'm going into Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights...  -
Insite on Kreia???
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There's no evidence to support this whatsoever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes there is. Like I said in the sentence after, look at the Chronicles. I know some things are messed up, but there is plenty of evidence to suggest it. You should quote all of the post, only Kreia can only point out what she wants others to think, and not the whole truth. -
Is that all there is? I would like to read more, caus I'm too lazy to dig up everything else...

The cruelty of the Republic
The Great Phantom replied to Nicarra's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think that the Republic is pretty nice considering all of the biological weapons they could use, and that they don't use Japanese WWII torture methods (*shudder*). Besides, a few minor burns is healthy once in a while, you know? Oh, and why did Atton emerge unscathed when he passed out in the cage on Telos? In my game half of his body was sticking out, and that has GOT to hurt. -
Wrong! The Rakata were NEVER ruled by anything else. They ruled the Sith Species. The whole timeline doesn't even cover hundreds of thousands of years, so the Sith Species were still primitive during the time of the Rakata. The 'True Sith' are things ONLY involved in Golden Age of the Sith and Kotor. Nowhere does it say that they are the species, but this is a high possibility. Please read the timline that I posted if not the other one on the one link. The Rakatan Empire lived LONG before the Republic, and were the FIRST to use the DS with technology. No external influences from the Species. The next time people did this was 17 thousand years LATER (Dark Lords). Why do people say the Rakata were ruled by the Sith? The Sith Empire was in power LOOOOONG after the Rakata...

Insite on Kreia???
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Exile never had his powers stripped. Here's an explanation: The Jedi cutting off is building a wall of light around them, sealing them in their own little bubble. It's permanent, and is Jedi 'execution'... The Exile RIPPED himself out, creating a sudden vacuum, as is said by many who know about Malachor V. Over time, the Exile could have repaired himself, as Visas and the Ithorian on Telos both say in different ways. Oh, and for the Sion thing: People only see Kreia if she wants to be seen. I think that she may have slipped up here, or she wanted to show the Exile that he still made bonds as usual, or test it. One thing I don't get: If the Exile survived thousands of dying through their bonds w/ him, how would Kreia killing herself do anything? I know it would create the final echo in her plot, but the Exile shouldn't be affected that badly... As for Revan's betrayal: The whole reason why she went to Malachor V was to FIND him. She felt lost and sad, even if she never says so. I'm reading the chronicles, but taking it w/ a grain of salt. So, I'll believe this. She feels nothing but hatred for Sion, as she never had any personal ties to him, or none as extreem as Revan. I'm not sure if Kreia is a Master of bonding... I believe that she KNOWS how to, but can control it. She can influence others' thoughts, so maybe she can open them up, inserting herself into them (to an extent). The Exile would extend this, with his willy-nilly bonding......... Wow, that was a long post... -
Well, that gives a bit more insight into Kreia. Her whole point was to show the Jedi the errors of their ways, and that the Exile was beautiful, but that is ONLY what she WANTED them to see. Perhaps that is all she wanted to see... Later on the Disciple tells Kreia that he sees the Death of all life, and Kreia says that she is doing it just to prove a point... Now if that's not insane, then I don't know what is...

Ummm... Vader is that little british kid, I thought...

Hottest KotOR female NPC?
The Great Phantom replied to Hive's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Other: That one lady on Malachor V with the lightsaber (not Kreia ). One of the Marauders. Actually, Bastila is and will always be Revan's Girl... Atris seems more like a classic romance with Exile, but Visas has the more romantic setting, with Brianna having the whole 'conflicted past'... Too many choices in Kotor II, personally... -
Oh, and then have LA make a game out of it, forget half of the storyline, and leave the main character in the middle of a sumo-wrestle match between two robots.
-
OR, they could be LS, and return as heroes or martyrs, until somebody in a fanfic finds their holocron, activates it, and the story of Kotor I begins again, via storytelling... That would be like something I would write, though...
-
Try 40 %... Getting a little narcussistic, there, aren't we, Fish??? Off Topic: Oh, and with the re-writing of the Shakespeare works, does it have to be in the original old-english, or can we fuse it with Homer's Iliad and have Romeo make out with Circe? "Wherefore art thou, pig lady?"... And then have Hamlet be tortured by Polyphemus and his sheep, while Odysseus marries the three witches, while chanting about some phantom dreams...

Revan in KOTOR III.
The Great Phantom replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Revan can and should have NO confirmed identity. I don't see why people keep saying that it complicates it too much, but it really shouldn't be THAT difficult, if you play your hand right (or use a sifter  ). Just change a pronoun here, and a cameo there, etc. However, some characters' fates will have to be set in stone (Like Mira dying; it happens eventually no matter what side you're on). I think that Mission should be the underdog hero of the game, and sneaks right behind the biggest badguy of the series, just to give him the Wedgie of Death (That should be an easter egg, after the 4th playthrough ). -
Exile has the unfortunate ability to suck the strength from anybody around them... But Revan is the heart of the Force... Hmmm...

Insite on Kreia???

Yes, and then I said that it feels like an echo that never stops... Does gender change anything? Either way, you can learn a lot about Kreia in that convo. -
hk-47 respects all life!
The Great Phantom replied to Hircine's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yep. Daedra aren't Aedra, and can't be killed, only banished... Poor Lorkhan, I'm not sure even Aedra can survive with no heart. They are bound to EarthBones, after all... -
Darth Vader wasn't all robot, and he used to be all human. Watch Episode II, and III (I presume) to see this transformation begin.

I found something kind of odd. When Brianna asks what the Force is like, and you reply that you only know what its loss feels like, pick a response. Then, if Kreia is with you, she pipes in with something interesting at the end:

Hottest KotOR female NPC?
The Great Phantom replied to Hive's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Too many choices! I prefer Bastila and Atris, as they both have internal conflicts with the main characters of both games. I think that Visas and Handmaiden would make great apprentices, and Visas would make the better lifelong mate (all the Love at first sight ). Bastila all the way, though.
