Would you make a great Sith Lord?
The Great Phantom replied to Sophy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This test is too easy, imho. I prefer to find out my TRUE DS calling, and not being consigned 2 either LS, Sith Lord, and psycopath. In the DS Test, you can be any of these, with like 4 more callings thrown in. Not to mention you can actually answer truthfully, with more than only 3 answers (in the same order every time! Ls, SL, PS!). -
Nah, all I heard were ECHOES. PS: Am I, seriously, the only one who got sick of hearing that word - over and over - throughout the entire game? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. I got really tired after the 1000th time she talked about echoes. I already knew her plans (come on, all the talk about one echo in the right place, etc, and the Only the Strong deserve to live, etc.!!!), and I got sick of her quickly. I managed to gain full influence after the 1st two planets ON LIGHT SIDE!!! The only reason why I tolerated her was because she talked about Revan... *sigh* Those were the days... Oh, and Arathorn: I have said something like this in the ancient beginnings of this thread. She does say things like this all over, but either theory (Apprentice or Arren herself) is highly likely.

Would you make a great Sith Lord?
The Great Phantom replied to Sophy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why not just take the Wizards of the Coast test and find out ANY DS calling? This test is blatantly obvious to me (all the B's are manipulative. Come on, that's worse than some of the puzzles in Kotor II! ). If anybody is interested in finding their TRUE Dark Side calling, let me know and I'll drag up the link again. -

Not true. That is just a Dark Jedi. The Sith have discipline, or else they would not have a Code. If they show ANY positive emotions (mercy, forgiveness, compassion), then their lives within the Sith are forfeit. -

The Sith say that giving in makes them free, but it enslaves them. Once again, I find myself thinking of the 70's... Not that I was around in that decade, though... They give in to the DARK emotions, choosing to exclude the healthy. This would twist anybody into the slave of something... -
Really? I thought those were her continued whispers... Well, I'm not listening to them again. I already owe 50 hours of community service... (Jk, I hope)

KoToR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
The Great Phantom replied to hattifnatt's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If the game takes place shortly after Kotor II, and the Devs decide to kill off Revan, then I'm sorry to say that the Male LS Revan would have to meet a VERY high standard with me... something like this: Revan, dying, Bastila cradling (or doing the next best engine-allowed thing)- Bastila... Bastila- What is it, my love? Revan- Promise me... promise me that you will hold to... *lifeblood cough*... the light. Bastila- I will do my best, my love. Revan- No! *cough* Promise me... that you will finish what I started... *cough* Bastila- I... I promise. Revan-*Coughing* Bastila- Rest now, my love. All will be taken care of... Revan dies the death of a 'True Jedi' in that era (Force Ghost or otherwise). Bastila rises, and faces the PC (if not Revan, of course)- Hurry, we must go. I... I have to keep my promise. Well, that is a VERY watered down portion of my ideal DOLSMR. -
Guess the Patch release date
The Great Phantom replied to By Design's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Um, could we backtrack to before the flamewars and discover the source? Maybe it's the 'inner moderator' in me speaking, but I think that this is a pointless struggle, and will continue to be so until somebody actually feels like taking it to the UN and have them throw it out. Okay, that was a horrible analogy thingy... I wasn't saying that the versions are different. I was trying to show that the games are the same in both America and Europe. -
Either that or they've given up on the patch... I'm willing to wait for Kotor III to get closure, though. I sure do hope they make a Kotor III, too... Has anybody asked one of the mods to answer some of the questions here? Caus I had to tell a moderator about a certain thread a while back (it was over 10 pages, too...), and they apparently had no idea what was stagnating in the forums...

Kreia: The timeless thing that bugs everybody and always comes back around. Crud, she's worse than a fruitcake! I think Kreia was actually pretty young during the Sith War, but I may be wrong... If there's any possibility of her 'being' with Yusannis, then I'd have to say she was indeed quite young at that time...

I'm not in any industry. I just do scripting and other basic skills (for now  ), but I do have many other activities that require deadlines... I agree with TrueNeutral... If you can comprimise a deadline, then both ends (hopefully) end up happy. Just buy enough (or barely not enough) time to keep you pushing, and if you find a little extra time when your done with the basic idea you wanted to make, elaborate it with different things and debugging tests. You may be forced to cut out a key portion (ala Kotor II), but as long as the point gets across, things should be fine. But, I'm speaking from limited experience, so feel free to totally ignore me.

An openended past, like in NWN. That way, when asked, you could make up your own past. I personally would like to be a fledgling Knight sent to find what happened to Revan/Exile and end up having to finish their work, but I don't care as long as I get closure on Male Revan and Female Bastila (I should hope so, wouldn't you???).

Forna, on behalf of all the people that have been verified as (senseful???), I appologize for our short attention spans in this topic. You really touched on a controversial issue with Kreia (even her name probably should be tabooed on these forums ), and, like all the other controversial topics I have participated on, opened up many questions involving Kreia. Perhaps we should put up a general consensus for the newcomers to the thread, huh? Well, let's find another off topic disscussion, like... hmm... How did Kreia wash her hair? Or, how does somebody run so fast in those robes, and how does that robe even bend like that? Wow, I sense another controversy!

What would you say when killing someone?
The Great Phantom replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Random Sith Wannabe: HAHAHAHA! Now you will feel the raw power of lightning course through your body! RSW: *Mumbles* D@mn glove keeps melting! Victim: Do you want some help with that? RSW: Uh, yeah sure. The fibers are fused to my hand... Victim & RSW: Oh, er, *yank, sound of body hitting the ground as glove comes off* RSW (gets up): I hate it when that happens... Victim: I take it that happens a lot, then? RSW: Yeah, it gets really annoying. Victim: You should try teflon coated gloves... They worked for that guy over there. RSW: Where? *Looks around as victim scrabbles away to the Gizka queen, Mission* Dang it, lost another one to Gizka! Victim (Pops back up on screen): Why haven't you called Gizka? Sorry, I couldn't help it... 10 cookies to anybody that can point out ALL of the inferences to lame commercials, though... "I, Juhani, vill be your doom!" -
Jambo, you can't declare yourself (senseful???). Somebody else has to do it. I officially declare you (senseful???). There, now you have sense. Yes, the only reason why Jolee couldn't use DS/LS items was because of the game engine and SW design. In the real SW universe, he would be able to use all except maybe the most powerful of Sith (or any DS, for that matter) artifacts. I strongly believe that Kreia either taught or is Arren Kae... Either one is valid, really.

"The Force will set me free." is a Sith lie. It is one of their many temptations, since most people in that era only join the Sith after screwing up with the Jedi. IMO, it sounds too much like the 70's... -
Yay! At least 2 people have some sense in this thread!

The Great Phantom replied to By Design's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have found no major bugs to complain about, yet... And I'm American... Maybe you need to offer your younger siblings to the computer sprites as blood sacrifices, like I did... Hey, if it works, right? -
Most, if not all, of Kreia's students were 'failures'... As for the Grey thing, once again, Jolee was NOT grey. THERE IS NO GREY SIDE! These are called thus by the Jedi because of the fact that they are fallen in the eyes of the Jedi, and weaklings to the Sith. Jolee served the Light. Kreia served the Dark. This is proven by their very attitudes! Even Juhani (She was actually pretty smart when it comes right down 2 it) told Jolee: "I can see that you serve the light, even if you choose not to admit it." Jolee was an 'Old Fashioned' Jedi from the times when Jedi were actually allowed to be Human. The Old Jedi saw in 'shades of grey', but the restructuring of the Code made them like the Pharisees in ancient Jerusalem: They still have the same basic laws, but they built an impenetrable fortress around it. There is no in between in SW. "Apathy is death." How many times do I have to quote the same thing here, people??? Grey Jedi are those that either fall from the Jedi, but don't 'fall' fall, or those that are exiled for doing what they believe is right (like the Exile). These ones believe that the Jedi Code is flawed in several areas, or that the Jedi inactivity does nothing but harm the Galaxy. Does this remind anybody of that show, Smallville? Mr. Kent is always telling Clark to do what he thinks is best, and that sometimes it may cause more harm, but if you know it's right, you should still try your best... I think that Kreia was either Arren, or she taught Arren. We have plentiful evidence of both. For one, all of Kreia's students were failures. Please do NOT ignore this proven fact.

I liked it just fine, I'm referring to the Pessimists. Kotor II had a good story, but I don't think that the SW World was ready for some of the controversial issues (Force and Destiny, etc.) it brought up. I loved it, but I want Kotor III to be a LOT better. My beef is with LA, and they let it get moldy... I just miss much of the cut material. I was staring at the moniter for almost half an hour during the Red Eclipse attack trying to figure who the heck was dead on the floor, and what the heck happened to my other NPC's on the ship... Oh, well. -
If Topaz Quasar...
The Great Phantom replied to Lord Tarondor's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Gizka will rule the galaxy, with Mission Vao as their Matronarch Queen. They will infiltrate the republic under the disguise as misplaced shipments on Tatooine, and slowly manipulate the greatest heroes/villans of the era with their insanely macho death cries (how can a gizka roar like a rancor when strangled???). It makes you wonder... Was Malak REALLY acting on his own will, or was Mission giving orders to her Gizka throughout the galaxy while Revan ditched her on his/her ship to spend time with Bastila/Carth....? -

I've given up on a patch. I'll go into D&D CRPG's until an EXCEPTIONAL Kotor III comes out... Kotor III: The Last Hope... Hmmm... It does have potential, doesn't it? -
Just Finished The Game - My Review
The Great Phantom replied to Christopher's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey, I didn't show up lurking until like 2 weeks after the game was announced, but me some slack! I have to say one thing: Kotor III better be one heck of a game. Until it comes out COMPLETE (I mean, I can understand a cut scene here or there like DS Female Redemption in Kotor I, but come on!), I'm boycotting LA. So, until then, I'll delve into other good Bioware RPG's (and other trademarks of a nerd), such as Neverwinter Nights (great game, and the editor is easy to understand for just about anybody) and Baldur's Gate (I have yet to try it. Is it any good?). Kotor III: The Last Hope (Of Lucas Arts) Hey, that's a pretty realistic title, don't you think? -

Hello. My name is The Great Phantom. *Hi, The Great Phantom* I've almost stopped referring to myself by my online pseudonym in public, but it's not that easy. *We know, The Great Phantom.* No, guys. You can call me Bob... *Is that your name, Bob?* Ummm... No. My name is The Great Phantom. *JUST SIT DOWN ALREADY!*
