  1. The Jedi seek balance, while the Sith seek ultimate power. As most of us hopefully know, if one side of any scale is a thousand pounds heavier than the other, the scale's going to break. This is seen with the Sith. If the Sith lived 'in peace' w/ the Force, then the galaxy would be fine. But they don't. They want to control it, and everything else. I think if it were JUST the Jedi, then it would be 'balanced', but the Force has 2 'sides'. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS NO GREY!!!! Grey is still either light or dark! IMHO, the Dark Side is like the Force's 'evil twin', but on a much grander and incomprehensible scale. They're part of a whole, however. The original Jedi Order (with love and all that) recognized both sides, but strove balance through serving the LS. Then someone came along and found that by giving into baser emotions, power was gained much quicker, but it also threw things into imbalance. Just my opinions.
  2. And yet another optimist joins our ranks! Wow, it seems that everybody (including me) gets a start on these forums posting ideas and a brief review of the game...
  3. Male LS Revan should be w/ Bastila, or have 1 or both die (if one lives, they MUST make an oath to hold to the light, and finish eachother's work; I wrote up a little script of the ideal Revan death, when Bastila lives... It's not good, but it still gave me chills...). I don't care about the Exile's romances... There were too many GOOD and EMOTIONAL choices ('I want somebody to know who I was... who I am", and "Because I believe you can be saved.", and the ever popular "...I'm sorry. I did not realize my actions would hurt... those that cared for me...").
  4. Influence-wise, I would like a [Lie] option to manipulate party members. That way you could be a DS guy/girl, but still get them to like you. It would open up more things like a "Why did you lie to me???">"[Lie (Again )] It was for the good of the galaxy", etc., and could be really cool if used right...
  5. Kreia and Kotor II never said that neutrality is an option. "Apathy [indifference/neutrality] is death!"-followed by a creepy echo by Atton and Brianna, then they attack. (Korriban Cave). Kreia touched on the whole idea behind much of Kotor I & II: Sometimes you have to break a few rules to do what's right (Smallville, anybody? ). She just took it way overboard and turned it into something evil.
  6. Ok, sorry. Besides, I meant to say 'not entirely inaccurate', but I'm making a module for NWN while I'm typing, so I'm a little rushed in what I type...
  7. Wow, I get it now! I just barely got NWN like 2 weeks ago... Man, is it time consuming... I'd say Atris is tragic, but there is Brianna and Visas, so I couldn't make up my mind. One question that's been bugging me, though: What happens to Aribeth in the end? Spoilers would be much appreciated (I'd look it up in the editor, if I could... ). Is it like a Bastila thing, or is there no romance involved, and can she be redeemed? A little off-topic, I know, but I see no point in looking forward to our encounter unless I know what to look forward to. I know she goes traitor, though...
  8. Yeah, I always thought it was something like this. In fact, at one point I theorised that your character in KotOR II was going to be a former member amongst this "inner circle" but alas it was not to be... I thought my idea was cooler than what they ending up doing... but that's because I'm arrogant and don't know anything. It was a little "samey" with what happened in KotOR as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not entirely accurate. Revan gave the Exile power because of their bonding abilities. I assume that the Exile WOULD have fallen and joined Revan, had they not severed themselves first... Hmm...
  9. Well, I'm saying one thing. I'm not sure if this is what is being addressed or not, but: THERE IS NO 'PATH OF NEUTRALITY!' You either serve Light or Dark. Jolee served Light. Kreia (despite all of her words) served the Dark. If you try to walk in between, then you fall to either side at one point, or you favor one over the other. Unfortunately, this is more likely than not, the Dark, with all the promises of being 'set free,' etc.
  10. Congress... They remind me of OPEC for some odd powerhungry reason...
  11. I have to complain really quickly. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE "GREY-SIDE"!!!!! You serve either Light or Dark, with varying shades of grey. Jolee wasn't a 'grey', he served the Light. Kreia wasn't a 'grey', she served (inadvertantly) the Dark. Every Master says that if you try to walk the edges, you will fall to either side, eventually. Unfortunatly, this 'side' is the Dark Side, in more cases than one.
  12. Thanks again for agreeing with me...One day...You shall become l33t enough to learn the hardest lessons...Just continue to memorize everything...Become better than a computer database...Pheel da Farce, Cold Hand Luuuuuke :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HOLY CRAP! I leave w/ 13 pages down, and come back w/ 15! The Exile did bond w/ Kreia. HEY, I THOUGHT THAT WAS MY IDEA! I thought I was the first to incinuate that Kreia knows how to FORCE herself into people... Or did I miss something??? I still don't think that Kreia killing herself would have done much, if anything. For one, The Exile has "strength in such matters"-Atris, and survived thousands of dying at the same time...
  13. The Exile somehow knew that the affects of M5 were the things that pulled him out. It was Kreia that said "How do you think you lost it?". She tries (and as DS, or maybe LS, succeeds) to convince you that the Council is to blaim. She hates the council, and she even tells Desciple that this is her reason for EVERYTHING she ends up doing (or trying to do).
  14. Nope. Dark Lord is the LEADER. Darth is an egomaniacal term used by ANY Lord to signify superior might over the Sith. Only 1 Dark Lord can exist, with ANY number of Darths.
  15. Brianna bares the face of her mother... Why do people take things so literally? I bare the eyes of my dad, and the hair of my mother... See, it's a combo! Some features are from both. Look at the differences between the 2 faces (Random Maiden's and Brianna's), and you MAY be able to pick out a FEW differences. But, the other Maidens also have a mother of their own, so VERY FEW features would be the same in the first place. They use the term 'face of her mother' to signify the reason why she looks different, and to focus on her betrayal (their Father's). According to Echani tradition, betrayal runs in the veins, so to speak. About the Kreia cloaking: I was referring to if they ever DID see her when they were younger, they may have had it torn from them.
  16. I just got NWN, and it's pretty awesome... The editor seems a lot like Morrowinds... I'm going to create a module after I beat the game, and I'll play around w/ it in Multiplayer... I have a story for a potential campaign in NWN (just something I'll do for a bit of fun)...
  17. I don't believe the other Maidens ever met Arren. She died at war, and Yusanis returned without her... Besides, Kreia can cloak herself from others. People only see what she wants them to see...
  18. Are you one of the Followers of Kreia that believe the Force is all controlling, Alaric? If so, then you should realize that that is IMPOSSIBLE, because the Future is NEVER set in stone, until choices are made. Then, it becomes Destiny, but it's pointless because, by the time it is assured, it is in the Past... Sorry, been a while since I read bout Mara... What happened after Palpy died? I think all that would have happened to the Exile was that he would be free from her influence in his mind. Hey, I like that slogan... "The Force doesn't control people. Kreia controls people."
  19. The Master and Apprentice rule was created 1000 or so years before the Movies, which is why the Sith 'disappeared'... This rule was made by Darth Bane, who believed the DS to be a limited resource... The Sith 5000-6000 before the Movies were numerous. There were 20+ Lords, ruled by a Dark Lord. They lived in their Empire, etc. (I'm getting really tired of elaborating, and it's become a cliche... Look at the Ancient Sith topic I posted for more of an explanation if you're desparate). Then, at Revan's time, he took the throne. He had many apprentices (I suppose all of the Dark Jedi at the time when he found M5 could be considered this), but they died at one point or another. I assume that Revan had an 'inner circle' that he converted first, and they were his apprentices. They then helped him out in converting others, and he gave them to his apprentices as underlings. But, knowing the Sith, power drove some or all mad. They killed eachother off, except for the 'strongest', Lord Malak. Just pointing this out, it may not be totally accurate. Sorta Off Topic: Malak and Revan were best friends. As an LS Revan (who had been steadily retreiving memories), can you imagine having the blood of your best friend staining your robes? I mean, as DS, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But put yourself in LS Revan's robes (Male or Female, I suppose), and imagine the internal trauma you would have to go through. You brought him down the path in the first place, and were unable to redeem him. You killed him with your own hands, after all that you had been through. Wow, I'm surprised Revan didn't go into self-imposed exile right after the War. Instead he stayed around, and eventually left to find what he started in the first place... Think about that... If you can empathize yourself enough...
  20. There is no Planet Mandalore anymore. Originally, there was. But, over time so many Mandalores rose to power, all claiming their home world as the Planet (or, the stronghold world of the Mandies). I suppose we COULD go to the stronghold world of Mandalore the Great (the one during the Mandy Wars), because it was he (allegedly) that was influenced by the Sith... Hmmm....
  21. I know that Simus wasn't always a head, but I choose to disregard the fact that he ever was. Ajunta says that they fled, and that they hid. Then he talks about how they built fortresses and such, and how that no exterior threat was open. The Republic left them eventually (or, they hid), and the Sith did what Sith do (killing eachother w/out a strong leader).
  22. "Know that there was once a Darth Traya... There must always be a Betrayer. One that has been betrayed in their heart, and one that betrays..." - Kreia to Atris Kreia was, at one time, Darth Traya. Then, she was cast out of the Sith, and became another nobody, until she found the Exile and formulated all of her plans. She went to Atris, and Atris assumed Kreia's old role as the Betrayer. But, we all know that most of what Kreia told Atris was a lie. Kreia told Atris she would wait on M5 for her, but it was the Exile she was actually waiting for. She said that if she died on M5, then the Exile would also die. That is not plausible, as the Exile felt thousands of deaths, and only created a paradox in the Force. If Kreia were to die, it would be the final echo in her plot, but I doubt the Exile would be severly affected... "One who has been betrayed in their heart..." I still think that Revan's fall affected her more than she chose to let others believe. She is known for telling ONLY what she wants people to hear, and furthermore she wanted to manipulate the Exile...
  23. Not true. There is a canon to the Sith, as they are in the Database... Besides, it doesn't conflict w/ anything, so why not?
  24. I want a good game, and I'm boycotting LA until they give me one. Kotor I was excellent, but they pushed it in Kotor II. I can understand a few cut endings (Carth's in Kotor I), but they cut WAY too much, many times over. That new RTS they're making better be one heck of a game...
