  1. You still have to speak to Revan, which could end up bad... I think it best if Malak just told him in private what Revan wanted of him. That, and I don't think that being a Jedi is a very good idea. Jedi Assassins don't really exist, and Revan didn't start 'turning' people until around M5... If you were a sniper or somesuch in the Republic Army, then it would be much more Star Warsy, imho.
  2. My rank system was for Kotor, the Trilogies took place thousands of years later (after the 'destruction' and 'rebuilding' of the Republic when the cowards that called themselves Sith 'vanished'). Qui-Gon was a Master, as was Ki-Adi-Mundi, wasn't he? And where does it say Anakin was on the council? He was much too impulsive, even in AOTC.
  3. Wow... That sounds like an awesome game. I'd make in Action/Adventure, though... It's more of a Hitman thing, really. The only issue I can see springing up is the Gender of Revan. This would be easily correctable by a simple 2 answer question (I would hope... ). The voice would be another issue... Perhaps Malak could be relaying the message to you, so that nobody's idea of Revan's voice is shattered... This would help clear up some timeline questions about the Mandy Wars, and Revan's personality wouldn't conflict with anybodies idea of him/her because (s)he has yet to be brainwiped. Perhaps later (at the end of this possible series) your character could help lead the assault on M5, and it could end with him/her going "Why, Revan?" as the ship blows into thousands of hyper-gravitized bits...
  4. Yeah, I figured that one out... I use the script editor, too, although I know how to create scripts (in theory). Thank Bioware for descriptive variables... Can you imagine trying to script an area transition with Pie and Apples for variables??? Now I just wish I could test my module (or what I have)... Every time I try to run it it says "Insufficient hard disc space." Man, I so wanna see Shar in person...
  5. Actually, Kreia's tradgedy is her self-destructiveness. That is the point in a tradgedy. One of the characters has a trait that leads to their 'tragic' downfall. Kreia was insane. She knew what she was doing would kill pretty much everything, but did it anyway to prove a friggin point to the Jedi Council. Come on, if you wanna prove a point, look it up on Google, don't kill all sentient life! Or, if that fails, find some hobo and dress him up as a professional Whosa-watsit with a very convincing script!
  6. I asked my friend what she would do if I asked her "Are you an angel?" and her graphic discription alone made me want to cry in agony...
  7. They'd be Ithorians getting kicked to death on Taris.
  8. If they did that, then Revan and Exile would have to be LS caucasian males (which isn't good, since my Revan looked Asiany). I think that the games are as far as the Kotor series can go without loosing more fans. That way, we can all fill in the blanks with our own imaginations.
  9. Kreia tells what she wants others to hear. She did this about Revan. She did it to the Exile. She did it to the Jedi. She did it to the Sith. She probably did it to Naga Sadow, too... There is no conclusive evidence. That's the point many of us have been trying to make. However, many things point to the fact that Kreia, in some manner, knew Arren. The extent of that 'knowledge' could be anything (except hopefully on a Juhani level...). We'll just have to let our imaginations (and fanfics) run wild on this one. In the beginning, I was sickened thinking about Brianna and Kreia being related, but now I could see it as a REMOTE POSSIBILITY, like everything else we 'know' about the game.
  10. Ah, this brings back "Trask Lives" threads... Good times, good times... But, we all forgot the TRUE threat: Mission and her army of infiltrating Gizka!
  11. Mine has one huge town area, an in-theory starting tavern, multiple houses, another portion of town (the ghetto ), an evil temple of Shar, a good temple of Sune, and possible farmland and hill region... It's going to be fun, because (as of yet) you have to be evil instead of good. If not, then all the people (the Avatar of Shar and all of her many servants) attack you as you progress... I'll either have an evil vs. good (Shar v.s. Sune) or an evil vs evil (Shar against Xvim)... I'm not quite sure, though... Volourn, I may have future questions (this is my first time with the NWN editor, although I did do a little mini-story thing in Morrowind...).
  12. I personally like the editor style in NWN. It's sorta like a wierd tree thing... If you were to do it in C++ (which I can read/translate fairly decent. Writing the code takes some time, but I can most likely read it and understand it.), then it may take a long time... Creating the engine would also most likely take time, but it would be good in the long run, if your RPG-like game had enough convos... If not, then making the code from scratch two or three times may be easier. Just my advice from my limited experience w/ convo editing... Oh, and off topic: Does anybody know a fast way to get dialogue to repeat itself in the NWN editor? In the campaign mods the text is in grey, but I have to copy and paste and rewrite over and over, and a decent convo takes me 4 hours if I want it to work right... Another off topic: What would be considered a moderate sized NWN module?
  13. Basically that. You can kill anybody, steal anything, talk to anybody, serve an army(s) or team(s) or guild(s) of your choice.
  14. The rank system of the Jedi changed over time, but here is what I have gathered from the Kotor II timeline, and what the current ranks MAY have been in the Jedi Civil War: 'Potential' (for lack of a better word): Discovered to be FS, inducted into the Jedi Padawan: Trainee; could be subservient to a Master(s), or just hasn't yet passed the Trials Knight: Passed the Trials, may still serve a Master (usually they serve the Council). I assume that they may also teach Master: Usually aged Jedi; They have left 'Active' status, and spend most of their time contemplating and discussing, as well as teaching. Can be found in a 'local council' on pretty much any given world where Jedi are located Council: Members of the Head Council. They're basically Masters, only it is they that lead the entire group of Jedi. So, the chain of command MAY go something like this: The Council decides to forbid (or at the very least discourage) love. They send the message to the other Masters on the 'local councils' of various worlds The Masters inform the local Knights, who in turn probably tell their Apprentices... Note: Age doesn't determine rank, yet. I'm assuming that was a later addition. That is all I have gathered (or all I can remember from what I gathered a year or so ago). Feel free to correct or elaborate, so long as you can provide evidence.
  15. They sorta skipped the whole deal w/ the Rakata, but I brushed that one off through one of my fanfics, and by looking at Wikipedia...
  16. Is Icewind very good? I'm getting the expansions to NWN, and then I'll check out the Baldur's Gate series... I admit, I'm hooked on Faerun now... (They still can't beat the old Dragonlance books, though.)
  17. Or, we can all come back and call you a moron... Who knows? Man, I hate when people make too much fuss out of simple unknowns... Nobody knows except for the writer(s), as far as I can tell...
  18. Guys, I have said all this before (read the first 5/10 pages of the thread). There is pretty much an equal evidence of either Kreia teaching or being Arren Kae...
  19. Actually, most of the punishments I may suggest probably wouldn't be appropriate (too graphic...) for the 'younger' people to use the forums.
  20. Wow, good to know that the human race has risen above common superficiality... Well, I'm headed back to Pluto. Those that surrender know will survive the oncoming assault of your puny world. Who knows, with a little luck you may get to become breeding stock for our shoe-shiners... One of my female friends is a 'geek', I suppose...
  21. I don't think so... Nihilus was 'his own master' so to speak.
  22. The color black is formed by all light being absorbed, so it is the brains interpretation of seeing nothing, true. But, I should hope that most people have learned that the Human brain is usually wrong (unlike our Plutonian higher intellect ). Nothing wouldn't suck in everything. It wouldn't reflect everything, either. It wouldn't effect light at all, if it was truely nothing at all. Just pointing that out.
  23. In modern 'pop' culture, the could mean 'up yours', but I'll ignore that and delve into ancient past to uncover its origins... In most ancient cultures, a staff or thumb up meant that one was allowed priviledges (life, the ability to speak to the king, etc.). Maybe, we (ancestorally speaking) English twisted it like everything else to serve our own needs?
  24. Hey, why don't we start a eutopian society of eternally youthful people with this thread??? I nominate everybody that has posted! We will rule the world! BTW, I think that everybody should be given a 'weakness of choice', just to allow a way out if things get bad, and to keep treachery alive and well. It could be secret (like a hidden button on the upper left thigh or a particularly vulnerable liver, etc.).
  25. Reaper, you're going to have to come up with HARD evidence. Face it, for every scrap you pull out, there'll be another that disproves it. Believe me, the first 5 pages of this thread was full of me trying to do that... Truth is, there's no set answer that can be determined. There was a gap of 10 years since Kotor II and Mandalorian Wars. The Exile was Exiled at the end of these Wars, which he/she and Kreia and the other Jedi all say.
