  1. Was that a very pessimistic way of being an optimist? I'll get Kotor III, just to get some closure. Kotor I was one of the best games ever, and Kotor II's only shortcoming was the lack of a few key parts of the story. I'm not an idiot, and I can fill in the blanks where things SHOULD have been (HK vs Goto at the end), so I don't see why people complain the way they do. The story wasn't exactly meant to be upfront in the first place, really.
  2. Michael Chu's here... What'll he do?
  3. Different shades of L and D, sure. As long as people stop referring to them as 'grey Jedi', etc. BTW: Have you noticed that the Jedi seem more neutral than crusaders around the time of Kotor? Maybe somebody should create an offshoot group that are the 'paladins' of SW, instead of contemplative people like the Solamnics in the Linsha Trilogy Book 1...
  4. NWN is pretty good, but I hear the BG II and PS:T beat the tar out of it... How many official expansions to NWN are there? Are they worth getting before I check out BG and PS:T?
  5. One question: Which Planet Mandalore? The Mandalorians change all the time, and in Kotor II, their base is a Dxun...
  6. Don't listen to that guy. He said that OE will be making it based on the new project announcement, not the job requirements (knowledge w/ console programming).
  7. Granted, bigger areas would be nice, but Kotor is much more linear than games like NWN and Morrowind, to an extent. A few areas should be bigger, yes. I was just merely laughing at the irony of your statement.
  8. No. Exar lives until AFTER the movies. He's on Yavin IV, waiting.
  9. According to the Chronicles, she falls because she gets mad at the Force for allowing Revan to fall, and because all of her students were 'failures' for her trying to make them human.
  10. Do you actually believe Kreia, metadigital??? She only says what she wants others to believe. She never says that is what she resents. She implies it, but NEVER offers any proof. It doesn't change the Force, just the way easily gullible people view it. Stop Him: You basically summed up what I think about the 2 sides...
  11. Oh, crap... Dang it! Can you hold on a sec? I had a really witty comment to say as I ran my fist through your entrails, but I forgot... Oh, what was it? Crap... Do you know what I was going to say?
  12. Read my last sentence. Revan woulda been smarter. Maybe he ran into some True Sith that told him to give up, and that the Mandalorians were only the beginning, but Revan got mad and swore to stop them no matter what the cost... But, once again, it doesn't seem Revan-like... Kotor III had better come out... Not for another year or so, though, because I've got a full que of games to play (from BG 2 PS:T) before it comes out.
  13. I'm not talking about real religions. I'm talking about Star Wars. If Destiny was for-ordained, then the Future wouldn't be "ever uncertain", now would it? The Force doesn't control. It's a balance thing. It CAN control, but ONLY if we let it. Notice how only Jedi and Sith have uber reflexes. Any SW Geek can tell you that this is because the Force TELLS them what to do. BUT, only they can do it. Why? Because they want it to! However, any SW Geek can also quote the same Obi-wan statement and point out that it also LISTENS to your commands. It doesn't use FS's to achieve its aims. It's the FS's that give it 'sides', in the first place. If LIFE didn't have good and bad, right/wrong, etc, then the Force wouldn't have to choose between the two. If all the SW people were nothing more than testosterone/estrogen run people that didn't think about anything except the most basic of instincts, then MORALS wouldn't exist, and there would be 'balance'.
  14. There is no such things over here, it is in India i believe (saw it somewhere) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They may be in India, too, but I have a friend that's on a trip to somewhere in South Africa, and he took a picture of a c-ockroach against a 10 dollar bill; It easily covered up all but half an inch of the bill.
  15. But I wouldnt call anything that takes an hour to find something justy 10m away smart. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, 10 meters is a bit more than 30 feet. Now, put yourself at less than 1 inch long. Now, take into the fact that you have a limited range of sight. Now, think about the fact that you judge location based on where the sun is (or, where the light is coming from). That would make it pretty smart, indeed.
  16. Anchorhead's the only city, at that time on Tatooine...
  17. The Force is not but a mystified version of Nature. It has no sentience, and can not MAKE anybody do anything. It is inherently NEUTRAL, considering that the Jedi (those that seek to syncronize w/ it) take no sides, except to destroy CHAOS and DISORDER (the Sith). The Force doesn't predetermine destiny. "The future is never certain". There are WAY too many variables, and thousands of possible CHOICES.
  18. Entropy. Left to its own devices any system tends towards states with lower energy, simply because they are more stable and returning to other states would require investment of energy. Occasionally nature 'achieves' balance when contradicting influences/forces reach an equilibrium, like the balance between the number of predators vs. the numbers of prey. But these are coincidences, as a rule only observable because they are in fact more stable/enduring than the numerous failed 'experiments' of Mother Nature which simply resulted in all dead predators and/or all dead prey. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Entropy: The steady degredation of any material into something uniformitarily stable. The Force seeks balance, as does Nature. They rarely ever find it (it's not called Star WARS for no reason ), but they still seek it. Many things in Nature (and the Force, I suppose) can be balanced (read the rock analogy), but it is WAY unstable, because of its complexity. I'm not sure if you were agreeing w/ me or not.
  19. Bee is the smartest insect I know of. Did anybody here about that one expirement they did? The put the honey 5 meters away from the beehive one day. The bees eventually found it, and collected some. A couple of days later, they moved the honey (or nectar, I suppose) 10 meters away from the beehive. It took the bees about an hour to find it again. Another couple of days later, and they moved the honey out another 5 meters so that it was 15 meters or so away from the hive. It took the bees about 20 or so minutes this time. Then, after another couple of days, they moved the honey again. But, some of the bees were already there, waiting... The times may have been wrong, but the point is there. Bees can detect patterns, and they have a way of 'dancing' to communicate... If the c-ockroaches learned how to function as a hive, then they'd probably rule, because of their invulnerability, but bees also have many similar attributes, with the intelligence of baby humans (or thereabouts).
  20. No, the Genoharadan should continue as a super league of assassins for another thousand years or so. Just my opininion, but it allows for plenty of fanfiction writing, so...
  21. NWN was fine, imho. The story was odd, but I love the editor... My module (if I ever finish all the dialog trees) will be the only reason why I still play it, though. Off topic: How do you fix the error message: "Insufficient hard disc space?"
  22. Sargalath, is the thing in your sig a Tiefling from PS:T?
  23. Well, I still say it's nature. Look at rocks, for example: Dump a huge pile of small rocks off of a tall cliff, so that they come up to the edge of the cliff. Now, have Bill Clinton climb up them. You see, they're balanced JUST right, and the slightest pressure will send them falling, crushing whoever was stupid enough to climb up them in the first place. I've had first hand experience (no, it wasn't me, thankfully).
