Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
The Great Phantom replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nature. It always seeks balance! Granted, a very uneasy, easily disturbed, balance, but it is balance all the same. The Force doesn't have any other will than to inflict balance upon the universe (like Nature!). No, it doesn't control people. Kreia never actually said it did, and even if she had, would you have believed her? The closest she came to saying this was to the Handmaiden: "Ah, but at what time does the free will and the Force become one?" or somesuch. -
Easy. Monica Lewinsky.

Within the unknown regions...........
The Great Phantom replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Kreia ALWAYS said what she wanted others to hear... ALWAYS!!!! I think that she may have exaggerated a bit, like when she said the Fall of Revan didn't hurt her... I had an idea though... What if Revan 'struck a deal w/ the devil' or somesuch and offered the Sith the Republic if they gave him knowledge and power? Na, Revan would've been smarter than that... -
What happened to the Gizka?
The Great Phantom replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They reported back to their Evil Matriarch, Mission Vao (this is my theory!!!), and reported that their mission was a success. What was their mission one might ask after picking the gizka brains from your teeth? To infiltrate the greatest heroes/villians of the time (Revan/Malak/Sion/Kreia) and set up their plot to overthrow the galaxy. Kreia was actually acting on the implanted brain of the Gizka that Sion, a loyal Gizka Worshiper, had put there. -
Can you ascend to divinity? What happens if you choose to... Wouldn't that make you the new God of Murder???

Kotor had quite a bit of reading, for me. Then again, I spent like 2 hours one day looking at all of my save files and making a mental compilation of all the Sith and Jedi artifacts, as well as reading the backstory on everything else...

KOTOR 3: Sanctioned Good Ideas 1/3
The Great Phantom replied to Master Anoon Bondara's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No reading from Kotor II... I made some choices on LS that I could have easily fixed, but I'm not going all the way back just to make Mira and Bao a Jedi. Besides, that's WAY to many variables. If they just generalize, then it'll be easier, and it'll find a decent comprimise between what everybody else did. -

Been sitting here for 1 hour, and it's stuck at 4 bars... I haven't clicked yet. -
Within the unknown regions...........

Why aren't any of the possible options "Remnants of Ludo Kressh's fleet that he ingeniously left behind to fool all of the Galaxy into thinking that what they saw was all they got, when in all actuality Revan made a deal w/ them: Help him kill the Mandalorians, and M5 gets reactivated or something equally devious, like selling them the Republic." ? -

Could somebody just summarize it for us dial-upers? -

That takes quite awhile.. -
Off topic question: What's the basic overview of BG's story? Go ahead and give me spoilers, or I'll have to do a tedious websearch and find out more than I want to know about the game.

Sounds pretty accurate to me...

Wow, what a coincidence. Here I am again. (It's hard to work on NWN at 11:00 w/ contacts in since 4:45 in the morning, let alone work out a friggin dialog tree) You might wanna PM the devs to get an answer... I know the NWN/BG variable and scale, but Kotor's is different (no chaos/law)... A simple 1-100 or 1-200 would be easiest. 100/200 (depending on which scale): LS Mastery 50/100: Neutral 0/0: DS Mastery Depending on how many different 'slots' you want there to be... As for the variable, playeralignment seems most logical, or PCalignment, or maincharacteralignment, or anything that describes the Player Character and Alignment. Heck, it could be MainDudesEvilMeter, even. -
Was the Red Kryptonite part of the main movies/comics, or was that a Smallville addition???

Well, I want some closure btwn them and their romance... even if its simply a Bastila sidequest where you look for a holocron made by Revan, but you can't watch it. Then Bastila uses a 'secret key' that Revan gave to her, and it tells her that he's dead if she has this, and that she should hold to the Light and 'finish his work'.

Lol... Mine was off of one line to Handmaiden... I can't remember the exact wording, but that's the idea... She asks when the Force and free will coincide, which is the same as asking when cake is considered home-made if it comes from a box: most people'd say yes, but it's technically not true... wow that made pretty much no sense.
-
Ah, yes, the great manipulation of Kreia. I particularly like her ONLY truthful phrase throughout the WHOLE game... Hang on, lemme dig it out... In a rough paraphrase: "Ah, but at what time does the will of the Force and choice become each other?" That basically sums it all up: We don't have any friggin clue what we're doing, and neither does Kreia

As far as I could find, there was no 'uber' merchant at all.

Heck, if OE is offering jobs as Beta Testers, then I'll gladly try to do it, too... In a few more years I'll try to get an internship somewhere as a Gameplay Programmer (when I finish my NWN module and get more practice), and hopefully I'll move up from there.

Ah, yes, finally! Optimists, unite!

Well, I would think that one of the purposes of playing an RPG is to read, isn't it?
