Too little information but from the few screenshots it looks like another PoE. Curious about it coming out in 2016, this probably has been in the works for some time now then? Though I'd expect there to be more information if so.

So far looks like another PoE with a new setting, which is just fine with me.

Why do people watch/love "Let's play..." videos?
falchen replied to Heijoushin's topic in Computer and Console
I wouldn't watch PewiPie or whatever, there's some actually good informative LP's though, google Research Indicates LP of Trespasser for a great example. Might also watch it for games I'm not interested in actually playing (FPS) which nontheless have an interesting story or do something different. -
I'd put fighters and rogues a tier below, there's no reason to take them over another class unless you just really like having Eder around for his banter. Their main issue is that the talents that could make them good or interesting (clear out, into the fray, and the rogue's invisibility thing) are per rest rather than per encounter.

Main Story, an atheist cliche?
falchen replied to Brimsurfer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
If you want to get technical, an agnostic is someone who thinks the existance of god is unknowable, as in it is imposible to know if there is or isn't a god. You can be an agnostic atheist (the existance of god can not be proven but I don't believe there is one) or even an agnostic theist (the existance of god can not be proven but I still believe), etc. -
Why is wand "two-handed"
falchen replied to adikKt's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Because what if you equip a wand in one hand and a dagger in the offhand? They'd have to code a whole new behavior system for mixing melee and ranged weapons. -
Rules for posting portraits?
falchen replied to Eliteseraph's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm guessing as long as you aren't getting paid for it you can do whatever, even if someone complains it would be hard and kind of pointless to take legal action against something like this. -
Also seems like different allies are more or less effective against different enemies, dunno if it actually changes the result or is just fluff though. From the description of how the battle goes I think you'd want to send: ogres against mages, crucible knights against berserkers and archers against the knights.

The companions were designed when perception gave accuracy, they made sense then but not with the change. Funnily enough now that perception gives accuracy again a case could be made for having the original stats again. As for the "bonus talents" I think that wasn't intended, rather someone made a mistake in their autolevelup tables, or maybe when characters get levels also changed during development but they were not updated until later.

Azzuro the merchant
falchen replied to zered's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Can anyone confirm, there actually seem to be two azuro events? Sometime I get a message and he has something for sale, at others I just get him as a visitor giving prestige but he isn't anywhere in the keep nor is there any quest or item avaliable from him. -
Took me a while but what I did ended up being pretty simple. Party moves to the lower left spot of the cave and bunches up against the wall, one tanky character goes to attack the dragon from the other side, while he's engaged party buffs and aoe nukes the mobs, then just concentrate on the dragon and make sure characters that need to get close attack from different sides, keep a priest or paladin back to raise the dead as necesary. Or in short, just don't let it's breath attack hit your whole party.

Deflection and Resolve...
falchen replied to Brimsurfer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Again, just gameplay, the stats are there to create a balanced character system. There's no real reason for intelignece to make your spells bigger and last longer, you could easilly argue might or resolve should be doing that. It's especially funny in case of barbarians where inteligence somehow mages them stay angry longer and let them swing their weapons much further. That said most of the resolve conversation options do come of as bullying, int or per is used for actually making arguments or using logic. -
Deflection and Resolve...
falchen replied to Brimsurfer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It's just gameplay balance, what the stats are named might as well be arbitrary. If it bothers you just pretend Deflection is called Defense and Resolve is Toughness. -
Main Story, an atheist cliche?
falchen replied to Brimsurfer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I would have liked an option amongs the lines of "I believe the gods are real but should be overthrown anyway", or just a way to dismiss it as unimportant. The reveal really didn't do anything for me, I just wanted to stop Wayden's legacy.
