  1. Yea but there are certain attributes that can't be enchanted If I want to role play a barbarian with a morning star, I dont have any decent options. And I indeed want to play a morning star wielding juggernaut but there are no decent morning stars in this game. On the other hand there are far more rapiers, flails and stilletoes in the game, they are just sitting in my stach, even if I wanted to use those items, I won't even be able to try them all as there are too many of them. Have also found 4 or 5 unique flails they are all sitting in my stash, haven't even equipped half of them..... Quick look at the wiki suggests there's a health draining morningstar as well as a stunning one.
  2. You are correct, you can look up the various weapons on the wiki, it's quite outdated in regards to the DLC content though. This is somehow mintigated by weapon focus talents having several picks rather than just one, so a character taking ruffian for clubs would also end up proficient with sabres etc. There's also the new soulbound weapons which are universal (they work with any weapon talents). Also weapons can be enchanted so you could create something for the weapons which lack good options yourself.
  3. As I said earlier, there are achievement for finishing the game on PotD. LImited supply is part of that difficulty. Someone finishing PotD with access to 10 supply will have way easier time than someone doing it with 2 supply. It's a single player game so who cares? It's not a competition and you can already cheat in much worse ways making achievements meaningless in this regard. In my case? Because I enjoy fights to have more and stronger mobs.
  4. Realistically or from a genetic viewpoint the racial traits make no sense anyway unless you can argue that island amaua are born with extra pockets. From a gameplay view, most rpgs get around this by having subraces "breed true", (so for example, "pale" and "wood" elf would have children who are either "pale" or "wood" elves rather than "pale wood" elves), while different races either create half-something or just can't breed at all.
  5. When your reputation with Gilded Vale gets high enough he'll automatically aproach you, he'll make a comment based on what quest you finished last. I got it for helping the pregnant woman, the one above is probably for finding the missing cook.
  6. Companions have quests, most can be done by just talking to them or taking them to a certain place so you could drop them after. Pallegina has a custom race and order though it's not necesarily better than what you can pick at char creation, and Grieving Mother can affect one or two quests (though a cipher PC can do the same thing). Other than the banter which you already said you don't like you won't loose anything though.
  7. You could already get 3-4 engagements going without it though, even asuming it's a worthwile spec Defender is not needed to pull it off, imo.
  8. Considering the option to change supply limits is already in the game, I think there is no downside to making this it's own setting rather than tied to difficulty. Customizable difficulty is always good, so you could select to play with the more and stronger mobs from hard/PoTD without also lowering your supply limit. Stash access and knockout injuries are already their own toogle so I don't see how this would be different, would you folks preffer these get tied to the main difficulty setting as well?
  9. Don't bother with engagement, use CC or body blocking tactics.
  10. Speaking of 3.0, Pallegina now gets custom order talents too. Wrath of the five suns is a nice nuke in addition to what it did before, I'm wondering about the other one, Vida Vido something? Extra attack speed on flames of devotion use looks nice, only lasts for some 6 seconds though, am I missing something about it or is it as underwhelming as that seems?
  11. Your choice in the first act is kind of limited, if you aren't using adventurers you kind of want to rush Caed Nua ASAP so you can grab the rest (mostly for Pallegina). On this playthrough I am running Eder and Pallegina as tanks, Kana with pikes (extended range) as the backline, ranged cipher character for CC and debufs, Durance for buffs and healing and Aloth as an emergency nuke.
  12. Hah, I just noticed fighters constant recovery now has a duration too. Might as well ditch the class now...
  13. I haven't found engagement to be all that usefull, Defender was good because of the deflection bonus. Paladins make better tanks now, with the nerf fighters are better off build for damage, imo.
  14. Which part of it? I got rid of it after playing it for 26h and being bored for 25h.Dilluted-wannabe-mmo rpg. Everything, liked it start to finish. Surprised you'd play a game you didn't like for 25 hours, but whatever, tastes differ.
  15. That wouldn't be so bad, dragon age inquisition is awesome too. :D More on topic though, we already have options for things like the stash access or knockout injuries, seems like this would be amongs the same line. Pillars is great anyway so it's not something I expec them to change now, a different system might be something to consider for the sequel/s though.
  16. I'll try boosting my resolve next time and see how it goes. Either way you look at it, he buys the crops from the farmers, after that it's his to do with as he pleases, so if he wants to sell it back at a huge markup that's his right. That said, really the smart option for Sweynur and co would be to rise the price of their crops in accordance with the rising price of grain, or just stop selling to Trumbel untill he guarantees them a fair deal in turn.
  17. The adventure thing got reworked in the last patch, now you get actuall quests with short stories rather than just "big adventure", "small adventure" etc.
  18. Hum, wonder if he says different things depending on your response? On my game he explained he's only giving a discount to the pregnant lass and the rest gets bought out by the innkeeper or something like that.
  19. That's the freedom to set your own prices though, and real life shops do it all the time. :D
  20. I wish the limit went away just becuase I keep finding the camping supplies while already having two and not needing the rest, just creates busywork where I have to remember where they were then return for them later.
  21. There's only so much grain, he's selling it to whoever can pay the most isn't he? Doesn't seem wrong, just capitalistic. Either way threatening him and his family in turn doesn't seem right.
  22. Why not go with pistols now? There's even one with a speed mod you can get pretty early, I actually wonder if that would stack with the Durgan's steel speed mod on top of it.
  23. Characters now gain Second Wind correctly. Fixed a problem where characters were getting Second Wind twice. Not sure if this is in regards to that, my character has second wind on his skill bar even with no points in athletics though.
