  1. Hey, I just stared a new game in Pillars of Eternity 3.0. Of course I have noticed that there is a new title screen. Sadly the animation that plays whenever you start a new game doesn't fit with it at all with the new background. Can we please have an option to use the pre-3.0 title screen again? Best, ShadowOwl
  2. Yesterday I saw that the patch had been released and saw steam downloading the patch. When the patch was done I decided to start the game. For a few seconds, a white window opened that said Pillars of Eternity and then the whole computer froze. I restarted the computer and tried it again. Same result. I verified the game cache, same result. Today I decided to re-install the whole game to see if that fixes the issue. I clicked play, the white window came up again. And then it froze. I can't get any dxdiag from what I know but I have a speccy screenshot of my computer specs.
  3. Hello everyone, At release, it was viable to have a Cipher dual wielding stilletos or sabres. In fact, if you look at the Zealot Fenix build in http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=416939844 , it shows a build I had in mind. However, 3.0 is now released and there have been many changes across the board. Has anyone created a viable dual-wielding build for the Cipher class? If so, can you please share? Thank you in advance!
  4. I've finally decided to start playing POE again with the release of the 2 expansions and some significant patching. I'd like to play a Paladin for roleplaying reasons (can't get rid of the D&D love of them, despite the differences here). I'd like a Paladin as the main leader who is excellent at talking (high R, I, P?), who is also a good tank and party buffer. My question is - can anyone post a build that fits this description, but also taking into account any changes in the 3.0 patch re: abilities & stat selection? Thanks in advance.
  5. One of the PCs I assigned to a quest came back with a crown of lavender... it gives you an ability, immunity to something or other and then there is an additional text that just says irritating. It apparently causes the same damage to me that I'm immune to whilst using the device. I have no idea what an irritating head piece does as I still haven't seen any damage done to myself whilst using it. Is the description wrong??? I'm at work now so I can't post the real description until tonight.
  6. Summary I recently started playing Pillars and immediately after the 3.000.967 release, my characters are no longer able to loot downed enemies on a specific quest. Details I installed the 2.0.?? version of this game approximately 2 weeks ago and was experiencing some minor annoyances with the quest vocal audio from time to time, but nothing serious. Today I logged in to play and found that I was unable to loot a group of mobs for the quest "All Hands on Deck". I tested looting from other mobs in the game and had no problems looting them. This bug appears to be limited in scope to the quest mentioned. Save Game I tried to upload my save game but was hit with a file size restriction. Here is a link to the file from Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4l6zPogYSzwbExYbXR0Zzd1OG8/view?usp=sharing Instructions to Reproduce Loading the save will place you just north of the bandits who robbed the chest for "All Hands on Deck". 1. Walk 10 meters south and begin combat 2. Kill all of the bandits, be sure to insult their fashion choices first. 3. Try and loot them - you will be unable to do so.
  7. Hello everyone! Update 02/05/2016: Adding additional changes with the new beta build (957). Pillars of Eternity 3.0 beta patch is now live on Steam! The 3.0 Update comes with a ton of changes, bug fixes, and new features. We need your help in looking over everything to make sure that the community is happy with the direction of some of these changes. If you are able, we would really appreciate that you opt into the Beta patch and supply feedback here in the forums. As always, you guys are what helps to make Pillars of Eternity the best game it can be. Please make sure you leave [3.0.XXX Beta] as a tag in the title and please take the time to read "How to Report an Issue" here. Feel free to check out the patch notes! We are constantly updating the patch notes as we have fixed quite a few things and it takes time to update the page. Thanks everyone! I look forward to see what you guys can find and come up with!
  8. Have found a bug with wizard grimoire switching in the recent beta patch (Feb 5). After the patch, wizard grimoires in quick item slots seem to be invisible and unselectable, meaning that my wizards can no longer switch grimoires in combat. If a grimoire is the only item in the quick item slots, the bag icon is NOT greyed out but mousing over it reveals an empty background plate. Adding extra items makes those items available, but still no grimoire, not even an empty space. Very annoying I must say. Tried everything to fix it. Started a new game, same problem. Messed around with graphics settings, reloaded old saves, even reinstalled the game from scratch, but nothing has brought my grimoires back I'm playing on an early 2011 Macbook Pro (I know, I know) running OSX 10.11. Previously had an issue with summoned weapons (having a summoned weapon in hand deleting quick item grimoires when clicked). The previous beta version seemed to fix it, but the most recent has messed it up again. This is the only significant and persistent bug I've run into in ~90 hours of play across multiple versions aside from the grimoire deleting one. Now I'm afraid I'll have to stop my playthrough until the next patch as grimoire switching is so integral to my playstyle (I like to be prepared. Real prepared). Really loving the experience so far and I hope that this issue is resovled so I can get back to it.
