I was going to have them (I am going to make two characters and recruit the rest) be children of Saint's War vets but it looks like you cannot be from Readceras, so they will be from the Aedyr Empire instead. I know very little about the Aedyr Empire but I figure I have some time to learn about it and pick out names for my couple and backstory before the game is released.

The problem is they always make the races relatable to humans. So they tend to be just kinds of humans who look a bit differently. You don't typically see races that are dramatically different, and the ones you do are not very popular. But I guess they could just make a humanoid race that just had big hulking females. Though come to think of it this was what the Drow were supposed to be like originally right? The males were little and scrawny.

Yeah if you do the plot of the games there are not usually a ton of choices to make. Daggerfall stands out as an exception of sorts. Even with that bizarre way they got out of how the game world was effected.

What are you talking about? It is the entirety of the game mechanics. What sort of content are you looking for? The entire script and plot? Every single class, ability, and mechanic in the game is not sufficient for some reason? It seems incredibly irrational to expect more than that. I don't know what pre-beta means. Yes it is not the entire finished game. But it certainly reveals tons of content in the game, which is what you were complaining about.

A unorganized non-accountable anonymous mob who cannot held responsible for their actions in any way who claim they are going to police the internet for ethics. Arbitrary ethics that are not defined or codified anywhere but whatever ethics each member of the mob thinks should be policed. And forget about anybody they accuse having a fair shake at defending themselves, as #Gamergate has no leadership or anybody to appeal to. Mob vigilante justice. Possibly the worse idea ever. I cannot believe gamers, who have lived their lives on the internet, cannot see why this was a trainwreck waiting to happen. You cannot police ethics on the internet and certainly not with this type of organization. Is it any wonder all kinds of unsavory characters have used this to justify their actions? If people are really concerned about ethical gaming journalism, they should organize themselves and create a gaming journalism site with clear ethical standards that produce a great product that draws clicks from their competitors. That is the sort of idea that might actually work instead of an obviously horrible one. Again I am just amazed this was conceived as a good idea for a movement. Ah well another black eye for my hobby.

As somebody who loves IWD it sure hurts my feelings to see people call it bland and lifeless. I think it is amazing and fun as hell. This makes me want to play it again.
