Oh my God, not another Genre Movie...
Airplane! was funny. It's still funny, because it was well-written and paced. I saw Scary Movie 4 I think it was, and I think it would have made a good three-minute sketch on a comedy show, but not a very good movie. Are the others the same?

Supreme Court says Americans have right to guns
If I lived in a gun-blighted city, I would expect to have the right to get together with a group of like-minded friends, form a political party, stand for election on a platform of gun control and, if elected, implement that platform. So how exactly does one go about amending the US constitution?

Wider Species Variety
Please keep Kotor 3 discussion in the appropriate thread here. I realise this means you can't make a poll, but I think a discussion is probably a more fruitful way to approach this issue.

What
I found a of mine, rather quiet but without the commentary this time.

Darkstar One has much less emphasis on developing complex trading empires. You just buy low and sell high, like Elite. I enjoyed it a lot.

Euro 2008
Not really seeing that myself. Observe: Comedy genius: Prat with a ball: Very little in common, I should say.

NEW to the PC version: What is The Sith Lords Restoration Project?
Yep, that's where the info is, and we keep all discussion there and in one place.

Watching Zimbabwe
Perhaps. There's already some discussion about whether Mugabe is still really in power or not, or whether we have a military junta with him as a figurehead. That's not something that will necessarily become clear anytime soon, and I don't think they'll shoot him if he's happy enough to remain in place drawing all the attention. I don't think it will get as bad as Rwanda because I don't think they need that to stay in power and it would attract too much international attention and calls for intervention. That said, these things aren't always rational. It's also possible that the 'war veterans' have now been stirred up too much and the government won't be able to restrain them any longer.

Watching Zimbabwe
It looks like Mugabe is going to get away with it. That is, unless Mbeki steps in and does something, but how likely is that? And it all looked so hopeful, for a little while.

Makes you proud, don't it?
They're being held accountable for their actions, and in front of a civilian jury no less. That does make me proud.

So are you going to buy Mass Effect PC ?
That sounds horrible. This is why I don't have an XBox. I just completed my second playthrough, this time as a female infiltrator paragon. I could stand a third go, I think, but I'll wait until the expansion pack is available. Anyone have an ETA on that?

NWN2 XP2 Storm of Zehir Wishlist
Will rangers be able to select dinosaurs as animal companions then? That might be fun.

music torture
I take your point, but think it works in the context of the performance.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
They should rename it NWN2: Dinosaur Attack! Seriously, it would double sales. Anything with 'Dinosaur' in the title jumps off the shelves. Myself, I can take them or leave them.

Sweden approves Echelon!
Our very own Labour government (we love you, Gordon!) has a tendency to lose what information it has - in the post and on trains seem to be the preferred methods. I wonder how the Swedish government plans to lose all this new data. I probably trust the Swedish government not to lose or abuse the information it gets more than I trust the UK or US governments, but that's perhaps because I have a misty-eyed, rose-coloured view of the Scandinavians and their goodness.

I went to Baskin Robbins.

Palestine/Arab-Israeli Conflict
Much of what you quote in the article is well-known and believed outside the Muslim world. This is not new information. I certainly agree that the Israeli version of the displacement of the Palestinians is suspect, but then most nations have a self-serving view of their own history and this version has not gone unchallenged by historians. I can know of, and agree with, much of what you quote and still hold the belief that there is right and wrong on both sides of this conflict, in the past and now.

ME: male or female?
I'm hard pressed to think of a minigame that I thought enhanced my gaming experience. Perhaps the turret-shooting game when you escape Taris in Kotor, though it should definitely have been optional, but a minigame successfully replacing a character skill check? Nothing springs to mind...

creepiest damn thing
I remember the moon turning a sort of brown-red colour one night last year - I think there was an eclipse or something? I stayed up to see it.

A friend at uni was a mad Take That fan. A Million Love Songs is still the soundtrack to my nightmares, so that's my recommendation. Unless you can get Thatcher reading the Gettysburg address, of course.
