  1. @thelee with the classic loss aversion. 😉
  2. 'The Outer Worlds' supports 11 languages, and 'The Outer Worlds 2' currently states that it only supports 5 languages. Will The Outer Worlds 2 have more languages to support? Many Korean gamers hope to add Korean.
  3. My 7th graders know what habeas corpus is. It is a foundational part of my curriculum. We run through scenarios regularly in almost every unit that relate to the precedent.
  4. I've just finished a Wildrhymer run and I've to say that "The Thunder Rolled Like Waves on Black Seas" has saved my back sometimes, also at late levels
  5. Hi folks. As someone who returns to Eora every couple of years for another run of Pillars of Eternity or Deadfire (having completed both games and their DLCs multiple times), I find myself once again deep in another PoE 1 playthrough. I'm not yet a Pillars veteran like a lot of posters here, but I'm an enthusiast of Eora and the genre generally. My curiosity led me to wonder what other fans, especially long-time veterans, are playing these days. In particular, I’m interested in games that share similarities with Pillars in terms of lore, gameplay, or both, as these are the aspects that keep drawing me back to these titles. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed a variety of CRPGs, including the original Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale games, the two Pathfinder titles, and several turn-based RPGs like BG3. While many of these have been great experiences, the two Pillars games remain the only ones I return to for just one more run. So, I’d love to hear from others: what are you playing now or recently? What games do you consider spiritually or mechanically similar to PoE 1 and Deadfire?
  6. i will blame/credit BG3 for making me think about shoving pushing mechanics a lot more in Deadfire and where to take advantage of it, so yeah I also enjoy coming back to this kind of build even now, even if it's not super cheese-tastic. for example, my current run has an SC ancient, but uses tanglefoot and wicked briars in conjunction with xoti as monk and konstanten as skald (for the knock back incantation) to knock enemies around and slow them down. it's especially satisfying with the Tikawara rest bonus that lets your abilities interrupt on empower - for tanglefoot and wicked briars (as with all other pulse spells) this means interruption everytime the abilities trigger. can make some fights stupidly easy if you knock back tough enemies (or knock in ranged enemies) and they're constantly getting interrupted just trying to slowly get back into position.
  7. food confession: if you eat a meal at our table and we had to microplane anything as part of a dish's preparation, there is at least a 50% chance you are getting a smidge o' Gromnir skin along with the traditional and expected ingredients. fair warning. HA! Good Fun!
  8. Didn't know that. But I also didn't test it. I just searched with wiki with some keywords and wondered why such a good pet would come at such a rel. early point in the game. Now I know...
  9. It is a misunderstanding: it is not a 5% slash lash, but a 5% buff to any melee slash damage 🤷‍♂️
  10. It's been a year. About time to bump this!
  11. Completely forgot I made this. Glad to see the old gang is still around.
  12. Alec Frey (producer) and Matt Hansen (art director) already stated some time ago that they would be on board. Fingers crossed!
  13. I saw Josh twittering that he has still time to decide on his next project (after pentiment's successful release). So maybe we'll know more in the upcoming months Obviously it depends on how much people are currently working on the other large rgp projects Avowed and Outer Worlds 2.
  14. Is there really a Pillars 3? Also I wasn't on these boards in the old days, but I'm a poster, and I'm old, so...
  15. Well it only took me 10+ days to see your question, so I suppose I'm still around. Not much to talk about, though.
  16. I'm here. Once or twice in a year. It will be more often, when Pillars 3 is on the horizon.
