I see the trickster as someone using many "surprises" and illusions, which can translate to procs/effects and illusion spells, combined with a bit of swashbuckling. Ring of Clenched Muscle, The Magnificent Escape Cape, The Left Hand of the Obscured/Gatecrashers/Boltcatchers, Rakhan Field Boots are some good options. For weapons I would equip Kitchen Stove + Modwyr and Whispers of the Endless Paths for their abilities per encounter. For the regular weapons a mix of Scordeo's Edge, Gravecalling and Rust's Poignard works pretty well. For slash/pierce resistant enemies Ball and Chain, Endre's Flog of Obedience and Sungrazer can be used as backup. Besides trickster's spells you could also use traps, poisons, bombs or scrolls to spice things up even more if needed, but the consumables tend to become tedious in the long run.2 points

We have always been at war with Eastasia. Incidentially, Natalie Wynn just released a video essay on the abject state of US politics. Sort of.1 point

It's a 1.3 change: Upgrading weapons on Hard and Path of the Damned will now require more upgrade materials: Hard: +1 Plant Materials per upgrade, +1 Adra Materials per tier upgrade, Path of the Damned: +2 Plant Materials per upgrade, +2 Plant Materials per tier upgrade Didn't know about that argument, so hey, I'm making 300 (or 360?) more skeyts next time, thanks1 point

Anora - My wife chose this one, but I enjoyed it for the most part. People had told me it ended badly, which I thought was a given based on the premise, but I was surprised by:1 point

You're likely still in the part that back then disappointed me, as I was expecting something way different. You'll know when it's over -- let's just say that both KCDs have the longest introductions to any games out there.1 point

I would just pull a trigger and play it. I am doubtful if anyone will be willing to invest the money to give this game a refresh (though they absolutely should). Unofficial Arcanum patch is a must, like with all Troika releases. If you dealt with old Fallout interface, you will be fine with Arcanum. At least on GOG the game works from a get go. edit: Finally started to getting around to giving Kingdom Come: Deliverance a go. I like it so far, though the game works really hard to reinforce how much of a dufus Henry is. What I like less is how little agency I had so far. Henry seems to get into scrapes and challenges his betters and leaves me to deal with the aftermath. I hope the game will let go of the reins soon. I really enjoy the setting though.1 point

I spent the last 3 days putting ~2,000 comics in new short bins and trying to organize a little. Admittedly I gave up on the last 6 bins (or my back did) so I didn't actually keep track of what went into those bins other than to make sure a few small groups of comics weren't in them. Now I'll spend a few weekends writing what's in the bins in a more specific sense and all that so that once I've got everything in new bins I can start putting like titles together in some sort of logical way.1 point

Description: This is a guess at a bug, but when completing Ferry Floatsam the hero LOSES minor reputation with Defiance Bay. This seems to be a mistake. Description: Screenshot 1 Screenshot 21 point

I agree with khango and Merina. I'm doing this quest and find it resulting in negative reputation if I choose not to lie, so I searched on the internet and found this thread. It's true that the looters suffered from the storm and were poor. But does not mean it's fine for them steal other people' goods. The design of this quest is not well-considered and needs be improved. Currently, after the looters ask you to lie to the goods owner, "I will not lie to cover your thievery." is the only "no lie" response and it triggers the battle. It could be improved so that there is one more "no lie" response letting you decline with understanding words such as "I cannot lie to the goods owner, but I can offer you some coins to help you start a new life."1 point

Same here. They are looters. My main character currently is a Kind Wayfarer Paladin and thinks they are stealing ... there is no way to continue at that point, because it's them who attack me first. The party reputation shift for Defiance Bay is not for the kills but for returning the cargo to Peregrund. As the screenshots show. This could be improved. It has come up before: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72610-quest-ferry-flotsam-reputation-error/?view=findpost&p=1682840&hl=peregrund1 point

I just completed the quest Ferry Flotsam in favor of the quest giver. Her speech makes it sound like I should gain reputation with Defiant Bay, but the combat log shows me losing it.1 point

The real BS is you can't just offer to pay the looters. There has to be this kill-or-lie decision like they had stolen the One Ring of Power. On the upside, I believe they dropped some nice clothes. Also this +1 might hat being mentioned, I looted it off them for sure.1 point

I agree completely. It's annoying that you have to side with thieves against an out of sorts merchant, and you're given positive city influence.1 point

I actually find this confusing - Peregrund is from Defiance Bay and seem like she should have more impact on reputation "brave dashing man saved my cargo" than a few dead peasants ruffians that nobody will ever miss. As a minor aside, I think it'd be nice to be able to offer the thieves work at Odd Nua - you pay them 150 coppers a month and your improvement build times go down by 15% or something.1 point

Apparently, you didn't read what the characters involved in the quest were saying...1 point

Noticed this too, the fact that the looters all carry money indicates they may be exaggerating the direness of their situation. and why should people in a city far away care about these random looters anyway, who are they going to hear about it from aside from the happy shopkeeper. I think it's a mistake.1 point

I've came across that as well, and I'm wondering about it, because nothing said makes it sound anywhere like I did the wrong thing there.1 point

Same experience as the OP for me. This has not been patched as of March 21 in Version 1.3.0.0.0 points
