  1. Quoting the original Danish newspaper and then translated by me... "Det tyske medie T-Online og open source intelligence-analytikeren Oliver Alexander har tidligere beskrevet, at specialfartøjet SS-750 var et af i alt seks russiske flådefartøjer, der kan have været i området i dagene op til sprængningen af rørledningerne. Det baserede de blandt andet på oplysninger fra anonyme kilder og satellitbilleder, der viste, at SS-750 havde forladt havnen i Kaliningrad samtidig med blandt andre fartøjerne Aleksandr Frolov og SB-123." The German media T-Online and open source intelligence analyst mentioned previously, that special vessel SS-750 was one of six Russian naval units in the area in the days preceding the blowing up of the pipeline. It's based on anonymous sources and satellite pictures show SS-750 having left its berth in Kaliningrad together with the vessels Aleksandr Frolov and SB-123 -- "Som Information tidligere har beskrevet, var det tydeligt på reaktionen fra flere landes militære enheder, at der skete noget mistænkeligt omkring den 21.-22. september 2022 i området øst for Bornholm. Inden for få timer sendte både dansk, svensk og tysk forsvar fartøjer til området, der også blev patruljeret af overvågningsfly fra både Sverige og Polen. Yderligere befandt der sig også amerikanske fartøjer i nærheden, ligesom en amerikansk overvågningshelikopter var i luften over Østersøen." As Information (the Danish newspaper) mentioned earlier, it was obvious from the response of several countries naval units, that something was going down (pun unintended) during the 21-22 September 2022 in the area east of Bornholm. Within hours, Danish, Swedish and German naval units were in the area, as well as surveillance planes from Sweden and Poland. In addition, US Navy vessels and helicopters were in the area. /edit: The Danish military did not release any information about the the specific US Navy vessels/helicopters spotted operating in that area on 21-22 September. The article doesn't mention if they refused or simply weren't asked Provided as a courtesy for our Danish challenged forumites.

  2. Well, because now they can't turn them on, leaving the EU without an easy and cheap way to get natural gas. More headaches for EUs energy market, hurts economically. Theres no actual proof the Russians did it either and so it's not the same fallout as if they kept doing their "Oh, well, it'd be a shame if during our routine maintenance on this old pipeline found another problem and had to keep it closed even longer..."

  3. Yes there are several groups and people who could have been responsible and like I was saying earlier we tend to unintentionally forget the reality and instability of global energy the first 6 months. Remember oil price got to $124 Think about if you were a Russian strategist, you know that the Western sanctions are not going to end on their own. But if you destroy the Nord pipeline yes it does impact that energy source and revenue for Russia but you still have other energy revenue sources like oil sales But it directly impacts Germany and that leads to massive internal anger at the government and a call to "end sanctions " because understandably German citizens are suffering Here is an old link from that time period about how that dependency use to be tied to Russia, there was real and valid concerns https://www.brookings.edu/blog/order-from-chaos/2022/07/18/a-german-gas-crisis-will-cause-jitters-across-europe/#:~:text=Nord Stream 1 supplies 58% of Germany’s annual,24%2C to more than €170 per megawatt hour. And then it would take 6-8 months to end EU\German energy sanctions in one form or another because you cant expect any EU country to suffer because of sanctions And thats better for Russia in a long term perspective. Blow up the pipeline now but it leads to a lessening of EU sanctions and thats a reasonable objective and you can mitigate the temporary loss of revenue from this for that time period All Im saying is the point that says " it makes no sense that Russia would blow up the pipeline " is not accurate. There are strategic reasons for the Ruskies to do it

  4. To easier blackmail EU of course. Here is a theory which I posted few months ago, by one of Danish military analysts. Emphasis on theory. (Although few weeks ago I have posted some swedish newspaper here as well, which was talking about the same observation of unusually high RU activity near the place of “accident”.

  5. so, a former President is on trial for rape but if you read/watch fox you might not be aware o' that fact. top story from fox news is five days ago: Billionaire Dem donor defends bankrolling Trump accuser's rape lawsuit as judge seals funding docs It's unclear why Judge Kaplan, who is not Carroll's lawyer, would keep the materials a secret from the public, given that Hoffman's role as financial backer is public knowledge. Earlier this month, Habba asked the judge to delay the trial and reopen the discovery process in the case, explaining that Carroll's legal team had disclosed that a nonprofit funded by Hoffman — American Future Republic — had given money to Kaplan's law firm. The funding was "particularly relevant in the instant matter given the political overtones of this case" and Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, Habba argued. wapo site from today: E. Jean Carroll says #MeToo inspired her to go public with accusation Carroll and Tacopina verbally sparred at times during his questioning, which lasted about three hours. She appeared to grow irritated at some moments, including when the attorney asked why Carroll did not scream when Trump allegedly assaulted her. “One of the reasons women don’t come forward is because they’re always asked, ‘Why didn’t you scream?’” Carroll said. “Some women scream, some women don’t. It keeps women silent.” After more back-and-forth with Tacopina, Carroll responded with audible frustration: “He raped me whether I screamed or not!” ... am thinking @Hurlshotis gonna need wait before his desired media sea change manifests. 'course the top story at the wapo site is: Conservative dissenters block abortion limits in Nebraska, South Carolina While it was women who helped defeat the measure in South Carolina, in Nebraska it was an 80-year-old man who stalled it. Sen. Merv Riepe, a longtime Republican who would have been the decisive vote to advance the bill to a final round of voting, abstained over his concern that the six-week ban might not give women enough time to know they are pregnant. Riepe told the Flatwater Free Press that he was concerned the Nebraska bill would be viewed as a total ban. “At the end of the day, I need to look back and be able to say to myself, ‘Did you do the best?’” Riepe told the paper. “No group came to me, asking me to do this. This is of my own beliefs, my own commitments.” HA! Good Fun!

  6. I noticed that while playing in my shared multiplayer world on steam with one other person, lint does not respawn in the undershed. It still respawns on the deck (thankfully), but after waiting multiple days, it is just not respawning. As soon as I loaded after updating to 1.2.0.4105 I noticed that there was no lint in the undershed using the locator, Im unsure if this was due to me harvesting before logging off or if it just simply disappeared. I have yet to trigger the wasps, so maybe that will fix it?

  8. Yes Russia blew it up. In the belief that that way no one would blame them for it and it would be good for their PR. Once again, they were mistaken which no doubt would have surprised literally no one on the entire planet. What was I saying about people defending obviously implausible ideas with ridiculous arguments? If I had the contractual obligation to deliver some clothing and I blew up the road to stop the delivery... I'd still be in breach of contract, y'know, because I blew up the road in order to prevent the delivery. Breach of contract would probably be the least of my problems then, what with the borderline terrorism, but well, still breach of contract as the cherry on top. Really though, it's amazing how far the west has gone to protect Russia. They even prevented a UN investigation, presumably to spare, uh, Russia from the obvious result. Very kind, especially since it spares Russia from... massive fines for breach of contract too. Guess the EU is just generous like that, they are after all renowned worldwide for their financial magnamimity where Russia is concerned. Meanwhile the poor old US, forced to sell the EU gas at an enormous mark up and poor old Ukraine, forced to accept transit fees for Russian gas. I mean, some might say that the Russians would blow up the pipelines through Ukraine first of all for that reason, but oddly enough... they haven't. Only the one Biden said wouldn't exist if Russia invaded was hit. So clearly- yes, clearly- the real reason was that Russia wanted to embarrass Biden! Yes, that must be it!! Case solved!!! Ho hum.

  9. I focused on interrupts and CC. My goal with this character is to shoot the arbalest + modal really fast. Sure-Handed Ila (2* -20% reloading time for reloading weapons) and Gunner do help of course - and so are item that reduce reloading/recovery time and buff action speed (Acina's Tricorn and whatnot). Since Spearcaster with high Arcana (goal to max it with Arcane Archer anyway) has incredible accuracy you can interrupt-prone everything with your shot. For example I managed to prone-lock Neriscyrlas for the whole fight: she had no chance. Myth Fir is good. But against bosses I value stuff like "Stumbling over words" more because it removes all concentration which can be crucial when trying to interrupt a lot. Invocation-wise I liked Killers Froze Stiff and Ben Fidel's Neck best. Both have a pretty big cone - so you don't have to be so near to the action as with other, shorter cones. Later I also use the Champion invocatiuon a lot because as you said: you can interrupt via Binding Web or other imbue shots but also with yout chants (see Stumbling over words - it can crit and thus interrupt it self while energized). I didn't actually use a lot of summons because I was so busy shooting all the time and use Killers/Ben Fidel. Also the animal companion got a bit neglected - because I don't want it to run into my imbue areas I mostly used it as a bodyguard who could intercept enemy rushers. I think it only had resilent companion and Stalker's Link. I like Takedown Combo - but with this char I didn't bother because the AC was only used in emergencies as I said. That freed up more abilities. Also since I used the arbalest modal I didn't use stuff like Concussive Tranquilizer a lot. I first took it but later retrained becaue I realized I almost never used it (because arbalest + modal is sufficient and doesn't cost anything). So nearly all my Bond could be used for Imbue:Pull of Eora and Binding Web. Other abilities from the Ranger side: Marksman, Gunner, Driving Flight(!) and so on.

  10. you can always respec later in the game. especially for chanter, i respect a lot as i level up because some of the lower-level summons don't scale well (like drakes as you mention) have you considered later respeccing the chanter part to the party-buffing invocations? if you don't have a priest, the party-buffing ones can be very effective in boosting overall party capability. "the bride" (quick, insightful, upgradable to also grant smart) is better than "the brideman" (strong, steadfast, upgradable to +5 might/con/res and duration extension upon kill*), but either way both invocations i feel might be underrated. * the usefulness of the upgrade depends on whether or not you have the mod that "fixes" it. in vanilla, it grants +5 to stats instead of the inspiration, so it can't counter debuffs. on the other hand, it does mean that debuffs won't dispel the buffs, just counteract them.

As said, entering tinfoil area. It could end up like the JFK assassination with an official version and 117 alternative versions of various degrees of plausibility.

  14. There is a reason, the initial Vatnik propaganda for at least the first 6 months of the war was full of " Western sanctions are going to lead to the collapse of Western economies and people in Europe are going to freeze and starve to death because Russia energy sources cant be replaced" and similar rhetoric. Even on this forum members like @Darkpriest spent about 3 months posting ZeroHedge Russian funded links about the " inevitable " collapse of the EU\US economy due to high energy prices amongst other things And the EU did go through a time of rebalancing and recalibrating its economies for the first 6 months of the war but that was mostly due to the imprudent Corona lockdowns and their impact on global supply chains and this is mostly resolved compared to the first 6 months of problems So going back to the pipeline and Russia being responsible, Russia did it because they believed it would put massive additional energy pressure on the likes of Germany which in turn would put massive internal pressure on the German government to end the Western sanctions So Russia could have done it and the US could have also done it to make the EU less dependant on Russia energy and or other pro-Ukrainian groups could have done it for the same reason

  16. Been playing Last Epoch recently. Diablo-clone. Very much so, outside of the time travelling element in the story, there doesn't seem to be much unique going on for it. Seems ok enough though, so if that floats your boat, it might be good. It's in Early Access. Also haven't reached late-game yet, so dunno how that'll work.

  21. I told something similar to this to Maxx Kaufman (of InXile) in person, in Zots Cafe, and I don't think he and the others there appreciated it at all. Specifically (IRRC) I said this of Wasteland 2, being the best Fallout game I'd seen since Fallout 2. I don't think that they understood the gist of the sentiment, nor the high level of compliment.

  22. I'm having this issue too. You may be right about having mined them before the update and them not respawning after update. I have just one node respawning since I forgot to mine that one before the update, and it was left there. None of the mined nodes have respawned except the ones outside of the shed. I'm playing on singleplayer on game pass though, so it seems to be a bug across the board.

  26. My Concepts/Ideas This is my list of various concepts and ideas that I have recently thought of, hopefully inspiring anyone reading to also come up with new concepts or even variations of these ones, which I would very much like to see. Hopefully seeing in the future one or some of these insects being considered by the Obsidian Team, though I do believe some insects that I will be adding onto the list are already in the Obsidian Teams list of bugs to implement. Overtime I will add additional concepts onto my list, each one with an image to go along with it. But for now I hope you enjoy what is currently here and perhaps use it to inspire yourself with new ideas for Grounded. (Also I realise that not all of the images are very accurate to being within the game, but they are just concepts and drawn by hand so I apologise for any errors I made in my pictures. (especially the ones with webs in them) The Devil's Coach Horse Beetle Names: Devil's Coach-Horse Beetle (Longer name) Rove Beetle (Shorter name) Night Terror (Nickname for Boss like 'Mother Demon') Type: Boss Tier: Level 4 and Above Attitude: Aggressive Location: Inside of Giant Log Underneath Stone Slab Within a Compost Heap Spawn Condition: Night Time Only boss spawn, would require boss item to initiate boss fight. Far away from staring area, all bosses should be located away from new or low-tier players. If not then very well hidden or unlocked after completing certain chips or in-game story events. Locations: Inside of Giant Log, the giant log could act as a spawn location for the new boss the 'Night Terror' it would be a largely expansive hollow log filled with resources and mainly various insects that prefer moist environments like larvae, grubs and even various spiders. It could also be home to some new insects yet to be made and various materials like moss and mushrooms. During the Night though, this area will act as the boss arena for the Night Terror aka the Devil's Coach-Horse. Underneath Stone Slab, the stone slab could be one of many slabs located on the stone wall side of the garden, having one particular slab contain a burrow which will lead to a expansive air pocket underneath the slab which would act as the Night Terror's den, being full of stone, quartz, various grub like insects and perhaps some new materials too. Within a Compost Heap, this compost heap could be a new location found in one of the corners of the garden, being full of high tier resources and insects purposefully placed far from new and low tier players to prevent them from encountering the tougher insects too soon. The Night Terror boss would be located at the deepest part of the compost. The compost would be full of all kinds of insects, many resources, mainly being rotting organic matter. The Boss Room of the Night Terror would be very large and upon entering its purpose is instantly recognised due to the graveyard of insect pieces. Although the boss itself will require a specific item to summon or lure out of hibernation. Abilities: The Devil's Coach-Horse itself is filled to the brim with weapons, other than being a complete beast and resembling the appearance of a black soldier ant who drank every smoothie in the game. It is also widely viewed as one of the most savage insects commonly found in most global gardens. Being about 20-32mm in size (real-life) and the adverage wolf spider being 10-35mm (real-life), helps provide the kind of size and strength this thing can handle. Its main diet revolves mainly around a range of invertebrates, including worms, slugs, moths, spiders and woodlice (rollypollys). During its attack you can also tell from its scorpion like posture that it is enraged, but I think the red glowing eyes is a bit of a give away. This insect was built to fight. First of all, its armour is pratically impenetrable. This could make for quite an interesting AI, forcing the player to either knock over the insect by perfect blocking one of its charged attacks to give the player a limited amount of time to inflict some damage before it flips back up the right way. Or any kind of punctering or stabbing weapon could also deal damage through its armour causing players to prepare for this boss fight ahead of time. Another way would be just an excuse to make this insect have an insane amount of health. It also has two massive pincer-like mandibles which considering can cause pain to normal sized human beings may cause quite a high amount of damage to someone the size they are in Grounded, but of course blocking will help prevent these powerful bites. I would also recommend wearing full tier 3 or above armour that has also been upgraded by quite a moderate amount, that way you can be sure that you wont die in the first 3 hits. The insect itself is also a close relative to bombardier and that similarity can be seen through the pair of white glands located at the end of its abdomen, these glands produce a foul-smelling odour or to someone about 14mm in size would be like breathing toxic gas. They are also equipped with a pair of wings, though very rarely used could allow the Night Terror to get to players too far away from it (though this should not occur if placed within a boss arena) or could play as a second stage to the boss fight itself. They are also incredibly fast and can catch up to the adverage player similar to how a wolf spider can, but they cannot jump and instead must use their surroundings to find another way up, this could be used in the boss arena itself making paths for players to run away temporarily as the Night Terror runs up the longer pathways to get to where you are going, but without allowing the players to cheese the insect in battle. Drops and Items: Its drops would be basic in nature, closely resembling a mixture of bombardier and ant parts. Night Terror Part Night Terror Mandibles Night Terror Glands The parts could be used in an assortment of different ways. Night Terror Armour - Could Include 'Night Terror Visor', allowing wearing to have slight night-vision on equip, this is due to the Night Terror's nocturnal characteristics and its night-vision-like sight. The rest of the pieces are optional but full sets are always better in my opinion and could be based souley around night time exploration or purely defensive, especially against toxins. New Weapon and Shield - Could include a Night Terror Sword (one-handed) and a Night Terror Shield, the shield being able to negate 50% of incoming damage and the sword being both one handed, fast and very damaging mixed with a new effect called Terror Toxin which acts like a more potent poison effect. Night Terror Glands could be used for various objects or even structures such as: New building piece for warding away faciton-reactivity attacks and allow players to protect their most important bases, of course wearing out after about 1-3 uses and also costing very expensive materials, this prevents attacks due to the foul odour it produces which most insects even spiders are disgusted of. A new grenade type weapon used to cause massive toxic gas, filled with Terror Toxin which deals increasing damage to all organic insects. (except weevils and infected insects) Could even be used a new type of upgrade which can be added to high tier weaponary adding the Terror Toxin effect to the weapon similar to that of the Night Terror Sword. This would require a fully upgraded weapon before hand. (which would most likely be required to defeat the Night Terror anyway) Additional Information: I'm aware that the Devil's Coach-Horse Beetle and Rove Beetle are not the same insect but in context of the game they would be very similar which is why I have listed them together as this one boss, personally it should be based mainly one the Devil's Coach-Horse Beetle as they are larger and more vicious in nature. But they are similar enough to be tweaked slightly and be almost the same in most other attributes except some minor appearance differences.

  27. I highly suggest removing the "location obstructed/occupied" and the "no land rights" building restrictions from the game as much as physically possible. Being a single player/ uncompetitive multi-player game being able to build freely and unimpeded would be much more enjoyable. The main issue I'm running into is not being able to replace my already existing base components. I get excited to finally unlock feather roofs and yet I cannot replace my current roof no matter what I try and it either says "no land rights", or "location obstructed/occupied" even though I had no trouble building there previously.
