  4. I realized I've procastenated finishing my sorcerer run for months. The class isn't boring, quite the opposite in fact, but my problem is that combat becomes really uninteractive and repetitive. It's always queueing up a few buffs from Xoti, then blindly throw whatever spells I have and it's over. It's one of the few runs that I almost never needed support from the paladin. Not the case with Deadfire, "having to do something" is also unfun imo. Like in Pathfinder WotR it's either stacking buffs then breeze through with melee, or use exploits, or suffer.
  5. Alright, well, i'm tired of waiting for this patch, so i decided to just start the game and opted for this: 20 5 15 15 15 8 Former mercenary and captain of his own squad, my guy (whom i named Rasczak, heh), known for his cunning as a strategist, fighting prowess and brutality in battle, has been worn down over countless wars. Tired of partaking in so much bloodshed (hence the lowish resolve), and left severly wounded in his last campaign (hence the low constitution), but unable to change what he is at a fundamental level (a merciless killer), he has abandoned his former life to walk the path of the Bleak Walker, his only purpose in life that of bringing an end to bloodshed, by any means necessary, joining causes and taking up contracts with the sole aim of ending matters that could spiral in open and prolonoged hostilities swiftly and as decidely as possible, while keeping as much distance from his former life as possible. This guy will focus fully on lore btw so i can make use of the high dexterity in more than one way, to make up for the paladin's weakness with his autoattacks by supplementing them with casting scrolls when needed (and since he is in the frontlines he will likely want to cast them quickly). The low health should trigger fighting spirit often, and the fact i can just stick to dual wielding for my FoD attacks i don't have to bother with a ranged weapons leaving the second slot free to have a shield at the ready in case i need to off-tank on a pinch. Having so many speed bonuses will also allow me to wear the heaviest armor possible, which can also make up for the low constitution. Later on i may end up respecing, taking some points out of perception if items can supply enough accuracy and bump intellect to max if i see i need it for Sacred Immolation and perhaps bump constitution as well a bit if it's truly possible to get one shot in PoTD with lower than base constutition, or if Sacred Immolation just eats me up until i die every other fight.
  6. Haha. And I'm one of those wishlisters entirely because of what you shared about the game. But because of my "no purchase of an early access game" rule, I'll wait to see how things develop with this game.
  7. The funny thing is, the developer sent out a newsletter email yesterday advertising the mod.
  8. Terror from the Void, a total conversion mod for Phoenix Point reached 1.0. I meant to check it out for a long time - Phoenix Point was a game with a fantastic pitch, and some good ideas in the finished product, that seemed to lack polish to really deliver. I am somehow doubtful if a mod can fix game's issues, but there are some smart and insightful folks behind it. I am curious if they managed to achieve their vision. Will have to make some time for it in a near future. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/839770/view/4176601697647254493
  9. I don't know if they fixed something or it's just coincidence, but it felt better tonight when I was on. Still a bit of very brief "lag/pause" at times but nothing terrible or rage inducing.
  10. Manor Lords: played an hour and a half or so. I like it enough I won't refund it. Probably play it for a while then shelve it for a year to see what happens etc. Anyway...in its current initial early-access form: ---the early pace of the city-build aspect is verrrrry slow. It seems that it's one house/family=one building/job. At least at the start? So you build house plots and wait, and wait, for new families arrive. All city builders do this to some extent but Manor Lords feels extra slow. Plus building times are extra long. I do like the methods for laying out house plots and buildings/roads ---there are work oxen (you start with 1) which basically are needed for many buildings to function. They can die. I recommend buying at least a 2nd with initial small start funds immediately. Because having zero ox with zero funds would be bad. ---the 1st person viewpoint is very nice for tourism. Although the visible avatar is always this red robed dude (not even a matching generic female version yet). ---Game performance is fine/great for me. ---haven't really looked at the progression/skill tree yet. There's an influence upgrade/points system and I'm not sure how hard it'll be to get it up quickly without any combat/bandits.
  11. I have utterly no clue what I'm doing, but apparently it'll still look kinda pretty. Also, this is just the loading screen, but I rather liked it.
  12. To provide more context (because I did not understand the original post): https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/after-promising-free-dlc-forever-to-some-players-escape-from-tarkov-locks-a-new-pve-mode-behind-250-edition Not Star Citizen, but getting there.
  13. Yesterday, a Finnair flight had to return to Helsinki because it couldn't land in Tartu because of some serious GPS jamming. Russia has been doing this near its borders for quite a while now.

  16. I'm a big priest fan, priest of Berath in Deadfire is solid for a single-classed caster (Wael and Skaen priests are usually better for multiclasses). Berath priest gets the very nice druid spell Touch of Rot as a bonus spells at level 1 which is very good AoE damage for a level 1 spell, and Symbol of Berath does corrosion which is not often resisted and inflicts a tier 2 constitution debuff, this effectively multiplies it's damage since it lowers enemy health and also reduces enemy fortitude saves which effectively improves its accuracy after the first hit since it rolls against fortitude. With high int and might and the White Void helm Berath priest can really melt groups of enemies at high level. Dual-wield slayers-claw (+2 penetration for spells with minor avatar) + griffins blade (with +10% spell damage enchant) while wearing Helm of the White Void (+10 accuracy) and cast minor avatar -> Symbol of Berath for maximum damage. For PoE1 priest is also really fun, how can you not be smile when you buff yourself with +10 to all attributes with Minor Avatar + Aggrandizing Radiance and your Storm of Holy Fire covers the entire screen? Edit: For deadfire only i would think monk might be the most fun though, but I'm not a big fan of them in PoE1.
  17. The game may not be pretty, but it allowed me to paint my ship poison green to make my opponents' eyes bleed. Aesthetic warfare.
  18. There also would be: casting, participating in recording sessions guiding the actors, picking the takes and creating sound files that than can be implemented (editing, post processing?). VO might also require unique tech, like voice effects changing depending on enviroment etc.
  19. Hi, welcome Do you play SOLO or in a party? My favorite class in all rpg is Druid, I have made a run solo potd in the first game and I have to import it in the second (I'll go for Fury or maybe a mod towards burn spiritshift instead of shock). Druid are very good in poe1 but less powerful in poe2, sure a fun class for multiclassing. I have just finished a run with a shaman corpse eater - priest of berath imported from a poe1 priest of berath. Priest are weak early level in poe1 but very powerful end levels (I say second class as power behind wizard), and quite the same poe2, but without mod a priest is a class that can beat megabosses with SoT and BDD. So powerful but a little boring and difficult first level. Best as multiclass in poe2 as 8 and 9 priest spells are almost useless, best levels are 6 and 7. Maybe with mods they work better also as single class. I don't like monks too much because they are too much powerful for me Indeed, I think they are the best martial class: they are great DD, very good as CC (stun and so on), quick and strong attacks and debuffs, maybe better than rogue for single enemy kill, can also manage large group of foe, they have one of the most powerful summon of the game, resonance touch can kill ANYBODY, plenty of passives and abilities you don't know which choose... They are good also single class, and in poe2 they have very nice subclass. So if you wish a single class powerful pg, I'd go for monk... but it depends also on your playing style. Monk/Druid could be a powerful and very fun multiclass, in case
  20. Thanks, LadyCrimson. I will pass this on @The Guildmaster via @SChin
  21. Thank you very much Boeroer! Been a fan of your builds and info you share for years. Maybe a weird thing to say to a random forum person but oh well haha. Would the monk build you recommend for the first game be the witch doctor build you posted?
  22. Abrams have apparently been withdrawn too. Did better than the Challenger where we saw one knocked out and another up to its turret in mud and everything else was publicity shots before they got pulled. If jamming is the problem it will effect ATACMS as well. End of the day they're old systems, and GPS signal is intrinsically and unavoidably extremely weak at earth level.
  23. In absence of Helwax Mold (or waiting for it) also Bleak Fang is a good weapon for a bleak walker, rpg-wise.
  24. Another update in the forever search of wunderwaffe: The GLSDBs have failed in Ukraine. I bet that played a part in finally officially transferring ATACMS.
  25. I hadn't even noticed the influx of guests - my bookmark (or my general "click first" after login) is the Community section, not Home, so I don't often see the stats line of users-online. Too much traffic can definitely be a bugbear for various reasons. I'm still getting the slow page loading response just to say, both page loading and when trying to login/logout. Sometimes it's not too long a wait, sometimes it's quite long (as Bart. mentioned).
