  3. Good choice. Other than Dindraine and Boudica, all wimin are old faith :P
  4. I don't think the new gen has the attention span to go though the classic ST episode. Tbh, for some episodes I don't either.
  5. I still use my own webhost re: email addresses. I sometimes wonder what will happen if the owner of the severs dies - will I even know outside of it all suddenly not working one day. I have no idea how old he is and it was years and years ago I found him, back when personal webhosting wasn't everywhere/EZ-fied and super cheap. I have this feeling, outside of his 'real job' clients, if he still has those (public webhosting was a small side for him), that I and maybe a few others might be the only ones using/remaining on his no-longer advertised webhost servers at this point.
  6. KPop Demon Hunters (netflix) -- Netflix kept tossing this into my face, but it looked like an Americanized culture musical aimed at young teens, which didn't appeal to me on paper. I was bored tonight and went "eh, why not." First 15 minutes or so was kind of a snooze/didn't like the first song, but once the story got going I found a lot of humor in it, re: kpop band and fangroup tropes. The "big inspiring" finale song was rather typical teen musical fare - eg, most of such films have similar sounding songs - but I did really like the finale demon song. Mostly because it seemed to be taking stabs at the super-fan culture. Plus, Grim Reaper costume animation - good stuff. Anyway, it's a cute film, not super my thing but it made me chuckle and was well made, so I give it a 6.5/10. Oh, also, it wasn't on-screen much, but this Korean painting art influenced tiger/magpie duo was great/hilarious.
  7. TNG S8 is all I wanted and I would have been happy with it. Hell, just 6 episode season and then done would have been all I wanted. Instead I couldn't even finish that first season. What a huge disappointment.
  8. Im really enjoying Knights Tale now I have mitigated the initial frustration with the healing mechanics by understanding how to deal with injuries So I now have upgraded the cathedral and hospice to include more knights certain injuries arent a big deal and I can complete a mission even with them the real solution is to be better at combat and how to use Knights and strategy more effectively to avoid unnecessary damage And Im loving the combat and the different ways to use skills Neocore really delivered on this I like the Morality chart and how your decisions influence the direction you follow. Im going Old Faith and Rightfulness, similar to the path I followed in the two King Arthur RTS games
  9. Only thing is I don't think they'll ever get there. That's not really what Star Trek is traditionally good at* and you'll turn off a decent chunk of your built-in audience. Maybe if it was really, really good they could make it action-drama light sci-fi but it isn't very good which leaves it in this weird place. * I'm a firm believer in that you can tell most any story in Trek clothing but it has to be done well and doing things well is not what NuTrek does well.
  10. I have everything beat all the bosses found all cards even got them all gold sites scabs all 55 literally everything and today i found the abomination totem and the glorious recipe but still stuck at 99 says collect more yard data

  12. Yesterday
  13. ok so i "fixed" it. what i did was: -go into the betas and select the public test and updated the game -it opened -go into the betas and select none and updated the game -it normally opened
  14. Somehow I don't think we are ever going to get that back. As with games, they are chasing that numbers dragon, and will go in a direction that will get them there.
  15. What finally made me leave Google a few years ago was when I was suddenly and inexplicably logged and then locked out of my account from my home PC on my home IP address...and I realized that the whole system is completely automated and that it's impossible to get any actual support in the event of system error. No matter what information I gave them, they thought my log-in attempt was suspicious and just kept asking for more information until there literally was nothing else left to ask and I still wasn't allowed back in. I ended up switching to ProtonMail where I can log-in from any device on any IP, and where you can setup TOTP 2FA, which is pretty much the only type of 2FA that I want - texts, phonecalls, emails and the like are all dumb, as are Google's random security and account history trivia questions. ProtonMail isn't perfect from a UI standpoint, but at least I don't have to worry about getting banned by some automated system for completely inscrutable reasons anymore.
  16. philippine the century old vassal state of usa now get 19 percent of tariff guess pineapple will be more expensive now
  17. Don't know why people are so soft on Picard season three. Yes, it as massively better than the turd that season one was, and it would probably break the laws of physics to make a season worse than two, but that just made season three less bad. It wasn't good, most of the time, and the cringe factor of the Millennium Enterprise attacking the Death Cube reactor was over nine thousand. But yes, I am definitely one of those who wanted nothing more than TNG Season 8 out of the series after the Discovery debacle... and all we got was more yum yum.
  18. Moved the really important parts of my digital life to a new e-mail address. I've had the same mail account at a small non-profit for almost thirty years, but the service has since become unstable. I have toyed with the idea of migrating for the better part of a year now, but talking to another user of the service raised a major red flag beyond some instability a few days ago. He has - or perhaps more apt to say had - the pro subscription (once upon a time this was for unlimited timeslot access to the BBS part of the system, which no longer matters, as there are barely any users left and no one ever runs out of online time) and said they've stopped charging his account for the subscription fee. They no longer react to support requests either. We don't really have any idea if someone's left working at the non-profit or if the service is just running because the hoster's been paid in advance. How old the non-profit is can be gauged by its name, it is mostly a BBS and mail service provider calling itself Club for the Promotion of Youth Communication. As if the youth of today would even know what a BBS is, or use e-mail to communicate outside of work.
  19. Thought it'd have happened sooner.
  20. ...Ozzy? F†ck me dead.
  21. Not so much a new scientific discovery as a particular new trend in use of existing technology, AI for movie generation at budgets that doesn't require Hollywood studio funding. I.e. "normal" people can do it too if interested enough to learn a bit about it. I myself dabbled a bit with AI pictures (Stable Diffusion and Flux). Looking into what is currently available in the genre of converting images into short video sequences. These people have spent a bit more time on it and create some hilarious videos. Same channel have videos like The Most German man, The Most Reddit Man etc. in the world, etc.
  22. I was a bit unfair on Picard S1, up to a point I rather liked it. I think a lot of people wanted TNG S8 instead though. Once at the point I didn't like though... people say you can't retroactively ruin episodes you've already seen, but I reckon Picard S1 (and for that matter, Discovery S1) is a good argument you can.
  23. I reinstalled grounded and when I open it i just get straight up a window saying fatal error, nothing else. I've already updated drivers, windows, reinstalled the game 5 times, restarted my pc, disabled every overlay and nothing. i dont even get a log file with an error description or something. I asked chat gpt to read the runtime-xml file and it said I dont know what else to do.
  24. I'm trying hard to avoid noticing, but Stewart's age issues with his voice just break my sense of immersion. It's unfortunate. There are some likeable characters in the series though, so I've enjoyed it.
  25. I have made baskets from 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm away but it still hasn't given me the achievement. This is on PS5 if that helps
