injurai
It's his intro/origin story so I don't see the issue. It's the most reclusive country in the Marvel universe.
Volourn
That's how I've heard people describe it while praising it. P.S. This isn't bashing the movie. It looks entertaining but as a rule I don't watch Marvel films in theatres. But, I laugh at those (like the poster make) calling this 'diverse'. Then again, it is 2018, and jn 2018 'most diverse' means black and no whites. Who cares about Asians, arabs, latinos, and others. Certainly not the Diversity Crowd. Blarghagh
Depends on your definition of diversity, I guess. A predominately black superhero blockbuster in a world full of predominantly white superhero blockbusters makes the movie itself diverse even if the contents aren't. I'm guessing that's the interpretation used, in which case 'lol that's all the same ethnicity too' falls kinda flat. But snark is important too. Volourn
"makes the movie itself diverse" No, it doesn't. The movie is not diverse. It is mostly an all black cast. There is nothing wrong with that, btw, but to call it a 'diverse' cast is a lie and then to go further and claim it's the 'most diverse film' ever is even more ridiculous. Again, the issue here is that the new age Diversity Crowd only think in terms of white vs black ignoring all the other races that exist. Anyways, this is the funny thread.. So... to make a joke.... Nah. I'm not that funny. 1 DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Malcador
Sad, but true. NSFW language (then again, why are you looking at videos at work without headphones? ) Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

teknoman2
Most diverse movie ever. i don't know what problem people have with the casting. its a story about an african king made superhero and doing superhero stuff in africa. The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. I think its mostly being snarky really. I doubt there are many people who would think there should be more white folk in the movie. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. It cannot have been designed to look as much like the Matrix as possible (at least for first part, of course, which set both the tone and the style for the sequels - just before someone yells "but this deals with the trilogy").
