Daled
I "water colored" this portait, it's far from perfect since I'm no artist but I thought to share it anyway. Edited February 15, 2018 by Daled

Archaven
wow awesome work! i'm wondering can obsidian make a tool or editor so that we can easily convert portraits to the watered color version ourselves?
Kaldaron
I have a request too. Would be cool if someone could convert it for me. Many thanks!
Aramintai
wow awesome work! i'm wondering can obsidian make a tool or editor so that we can easily convert portraits to the watered color version ourselves? Doubtful, that would require something on the level of Photoshop and even with that I'm not able to auto convert requests, because every portrait is unique and requires a different approach. Here's my post with instructions how to make it with Photoshop, nothing difficult but not automatic and time consuming: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/?p=1956411 The only response from devs about helping out with watercolored portraits was this: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/?p=1967609 Their own artist, iirc, was remaking watercolored versions of portraits by redrawing them, not running them through some auto filter. I'm not good with words.. Perhaps someone would be kindly enough to walkthrough the process via youtube video. You know a picture is worth a million words . But anyway that's just a suggestion. Personally i'm not too fond of the water-colored portraits. Still looking into those colorful portraits done by all the talented people around the net <3. Last but not least.. GJ Aramintai! Daled
I remade the portrait trying to be more faithful to the officials this time. After two days working on it, learning tricks with paint.net (image editing for me is a totally unexplored territory), I have enough of it and I don't think I'll tweak it anymore or convert others :D Feel free to use and share if you like it. DexGames
I've converted some Portraits before... However, I believe this one deserves a much better treatment than what I can provide. [i tried but couldn't do it justice] So Aramintai... If spare time comes around you : [For the sake of Godlike Lovers] EDIT : Here's the Original in case you wanna do a better "Close Up", or Crop it differently. Aramintai
Ok, I'll look into requests a bit later, still haven't murdered all the helpless monsters for crowns in MHW, it takes time Btw, POE2 is gonna be out pretty soon so if someone still needs their portraits done - post them soon! I'm planning on double whammy game bender starting from the end of March (Ni no Kuni 2 and POE2) and won't be able to help. IndiraLightfoot
Alright, Aramintai. If you have the time, I'd love to get your help in converting this image into something that works in PoE2 for my female mountain dwarf: I hope the quality will suffice. 1 *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***

wahmann1
I promise I looked everywhere I could think of for the answer before posting here... Is there a tool that enables you to snapshot the head and shoulders of the 3D model for your character and just use that as the portrait? I suppose I could screen shot the model in windows mode and put it into an editor, but I was hoping there might be something better.
Boeroer
I don't think anybody would invest time and implement such an application - because it's very easy to just do a screenshot and crop it. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

Take a screenshot from a game? Use Fraps then, then crop and resize the image in Paint of whatever editor you have.
