Wow, it actually finally happened. Congratulations, Amentep, :)

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

Do mods get pay?

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

*If you can't tell, it's you. ;)

They do it for free.

Thanks for the welcome.

Although I know secretly everyone is happy that now I can't go into my 'back when I was a mod' routine anymore. ;)

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Grats! =)

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

hmmm. we always saw amentep as kinda the harry tuttle of moderators.

is impossible for us to genuine congratulate those who join the ranks of moderation so instead we will simple hope for the best and pray amentep does not meet the same end as mr. tuttle.

HA! Good Fun!

Will a new pyramid be raised by the Nile soon?

Commiserations on the bothersome business of moderation.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

My thoughts exactly. So, um. Good luck.
