Welcome to the new and updated list of current builds from these boards.

Each of the eleven classes in the game is listed below in alphabetical order, with each build listed alphabetically underneath. For each build you'll find a short descriptor, an indication of the game version it was built for and/or it uses gear and abilities from, and whether it has been meant or tested for solo play.

DISCLAIMER:
In drawing up the list, I assumed solo play to be untested for all builds that did not explicitly mention solo play in the OP. If anyone tested any of these builds for solo play and would like their experience to be reflected in this thread, please PM me or Tigranes specifying the build you used, the difficulty you tried, and whether you could beat the game. Similarly, if you want your build's descriptor updated, contact us with the updated descriptor.

DISCLAIMER II:
Included in this list are what builds I could find scavenging the boards, plus any builds that were PMed to me. If your build is missing, please PM me or Tigranes with the relevant information (link, descriptor, game version, solo play) and we will add it.

FORMAT:

Build Name [links to the build's thread]
Short descriptor of what the build does or specializes in.
Author: The user who made the build.
Game version: What game version the build was created for, and/or uses equipment and abilities from.
Solo: Whether the build is suitable for solo play.

  • "Yes [Difficulty]" - The build was either created or tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level.
  • "No [Difficulty]" - The build was tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level and the game could not be beaten.
  • "Untested" - The build wasn't born with solo play in mind, but for all we know it might as well work—except nobody's tried yet.

Just a suggestion , but having solo builds on a separate section of the post could be better

Just builds that were meant to solo from the get-go, or also builds that have been found suitable for solo play?

If there's a consensus around this, I guess it could be done; however, I personally think separating builds in two blocks could add confusion. Besides, a solo build could be perfectly good in a party as well—placing it in a separate block could convey the message that it would not be the case, especially to the least experienced players.

I agree that this would be confusing, and it's not exactly difficult to cmd/ctrl + F "solo: yes".

Thanks for your hard work Andrea. Something I might prefer slightly is if you credit the builds, mainly so that if there's a person who's builds you particularly like then it's easier to see more builds they've done without digging into each individual thread.

Also, if a mod could sticky this so it doesn't get buried in the pile, that would be great.

A very fair sentiment. I will add the author to the template.

your Drake's Ambassador link currently links to the Backlash Bedlam build.

"Those who look upon gods then say, without even knowing their names, 'He is Fire. She is Dance. He is Destruction. She is Love.' So, to reply to your statement, they do not call themselves gods. Everyone else does, though, everyone who beholds them."
"So they play that on their fascist banjos, eh?"
"You choose the wrong adjective."
"You've already used up all the others.”

Maybe you can write to the Builds if it is useable for the Companions, too.

What does everyone else think?

If there is a consensus around this, it can be done (but it would require build authors to PM me or Tigranes with the information.)

Thank you for putting this together!  I just came back to PoE from a hiatus, and having an updated build list is helpful, particularly when digesting all of the 2.03 / 3.0 / 3.02 changes.  So Rangers don't suck any more, and Rogues are bottom of the barrel?  My, my.

Hahaha. :)

"Bottom of the barrel" is a bit exaggerated - but basically right. ;)
