Games you want that'll likely never exist

I'm procrastinating

- Something like Star Citizen with the same scale and budget except centred around piracy in the Caribbean.

- 2D fighter made up of a cast of famous gods and religious icons (Jesus vs. Buddha, Thor vs. Muhammed etc)

- A proper sequel to F-Zero GX.

A "realistic" survival game, zombies or post-apocalyptic I don't care, with all human motion realistically captured (vivid animations), easy death, injuries. No text chat (mic required), no floating names and hardly any UI.

No running animation!! Running = fatigue and similar. Iron, vitamins and minerals. A health simulator for your character and progressive training and growth. No chopping down entire trees, and you would have to produce and craft items realistically (animated crafting).

In essence: It should be "real life", but virtual, placed in an odd, futuristic or fantasy, setting.

Might come out, but probably not during my lifetime.

I'll be the first bore and say proper Fallout sequel.

Others would be something like...

A properly modernized  (bigger city, more skills and uses for them, loads more interactivity and reactivity, a branching noir storyline, C&C, the whole nine yards) - though still keeping firmly with the original gameplay - sequel to the B.A.T. series from the early 90's.

Dungeon Keeper 3. More in line with the first game both in aesthetics and tone than what came after.

A Tex Murphy RPG (or at least heavily in that style).

An RPG in the Judge Dredd world (not focusing specifically on being a judge and kicking ass).

A Dangerous Waters-level push-button sim of a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser or Arleigh Burke-class DDG.

From what I heard, SCS was working on just that, until they took a closer look at the subject material and realised it might be too complex for even the most hardcore simmers.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

-Isometric

-Sci-fi

-almost carbon copy of Fallout Tactics

I could probably just say the last bit, because I would play ANYTHING that had the tactical combat & character development of Fallout Tactics wrapped in a new setting/story.

An open world RPG set in the Planescape setting, at least three time the size of Skyrim (including DLC) with a fully realized Sigil, Blood War, Factions, Primes, Planars, Petitioners, Powers & Proxies. And I want it to have a tool set to create more content, an original story (please don't re-do Torment, you'll only f--k it up) and one last thing, please get the vernacular right. It's a big part of the appeal.

Maybe I should put this in the "What would I do with unlimited money" thread in WoT.

Arcanum sequel or spiritual successor with Tim Cain in charge (I can't type this onto these forums enough, imho), Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the things listed by Undecaf (more Tex Murphy is good for the world) and Shady Sands all sound terrific. Also, something Weird West in an RPG would be fantastic.

For games that were announced/canceled:

Silent Hills.

Crucible.

Dungeon Keeper 3 (War for the Overworld wasn't bad but it didn't scratch that itch).

Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun

Possibly on this list: Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Games that were never announced:

Black & White 3

War Wind 3

KotOR 3

Games I would love to see:

Open World RPGs in the WarCraft or StarCraft universes that aren't MMOs.

Space Cowboy game, whether in the Firefly universe or ripping it off. :p

A Cthulhu-based horror game that is actually good.

New Jurassic Park building game.

Games I think might be succesful:

Something like the old "Creatures" games where you have to take care of little monsters. Haven't really seen anything like this in a while and I think kids would love it.
