What are you playing now?

Recommended Posts

Last time I played I used

- ENB series

- unofficial patch

- arrow crafting

- soul gem crafting

- more carriages

- mark/recall spells

- kill the blades

That sounds like your typical dutch selection of Mods...nothing really inspirational hey ?

I'm not making hyperbole, 255 modules is the maximum that you can have for Skyrim because of some stupid reason there's a limit. But since retextures don't have a module you can add those. So yeah, i'm using more than 255 mods.

But there are tools that help you to merge stuff / create merge patches. Therefore, at least technically, you can run more than 255 mods.

I'm too lazy/stupid to figure it out. Quite frankly I don't care a lot about Skyrim that I will learn new stuff for it or maybe I really haven't found a group of mods that I thought would really enhance the experience further.

You're one weird SJW.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

Ah my friend you are making the same assumption about SJW that many people make...you are assuming we have all the same views and have this monolithic view around principles or objections    o:)

Why wouldn't I find women like that appealing in a game ? I care about RL issues like  homophobia, racism and sexism. I reject the idea that me finding an image of a  women attractive or an interesting part of game somehow a contradiction to my core beliefs ...and trust me I am very comfortable with my view on this matter  8)

Nude mods are definitely weird. Nothing wrong with having weird fetishes, but Bruce should at least own it.

Are you ashamed of nudity? You obviously fine with mass killings in the game ? :)

No I respect you too much to use the standard response to this type of comment...why do you think nudity in a game is weird. Please be honest I want your real and honest opinion

Swearing Mudcrabs are where the adult mods cross the line. That's far too transgressive even for me.

  Please can you tell what is wrong with nudity in a game? You have good way of explaining game features so maybe explain it to me

Really depends on the game, some games have nudity and people are fine with that. Some are just weird and shouldn't really exist, like that nude patch and sex mod for the Sims.

Eh, the only thing "wrong" with it in an absolute sense is that some retailers may opt not to carry the game as a result, thus reducing profits. Letting modders go wild with it on the other hand should increase profits, Bethesda really have the best of both worlds here. It's what makes EA's insistence on making their games as hard to mod as possible rather baffling, if they want a Skyrim killer (thinking DA3 here), then why omit Skyrim's one killer feature?

However such an approach rather ensures sex is nothing but a novelty in the context of the game, completely inconsequential from a narrative perspective, and generally poorly integrated gameplay-wise. Of course, in a Bethesda game you'd barely be able to tell, but it's not a great result for the industry as a whole. The Witcher games get some (well-deserved) mockery for some of the sillier aspects of their approach, but it's still a reasonable benchmark in contextualising sex as something that naturally happens in a relationship, treading the happy medium between the Bioware approach of sex as an end goal (or Steam/Origin achievement), and the completely context-free sex such as you'd see in Skyrim mods. That said, it's a whole lot of effort for content that in a typical playthrough is mutually exclusive, so I can understand why some developers don't even bother trying, their resources could be spent more efficiently elsewhere.

It doesn't address the persistent limitation of video games in that everything not about fighting is just a sideshow. Completely understandable because violence is cheap to make and easily stands up to repetition better than any other content. People will accept beating up 100 or 1000 mooks in the exact same way over the course of a game, but repeating even parts of the same dialogue tree a few times rapidly becomes unbearable. Now put that in the context of sex: how do you make it the core of a video game narrative for a reasonable cost without it being repetitive and boring? I certainly doubt any "Virtual Sex" type games that had their heyday in the 90s succeeded at that. A 3D model and a handful of customisable positions don't make for compelling gameplay for more than, oh, 10 minutes at a time, then what? I posit that even in a game where the central premise is sex, the gameplay logically is still largely going to be concentrated on context and not on the act of sex itself. Perhaps a framework like that use in Telltale's recent games or in Life is Strange might be the answer, but I haven't played any of them and can't say for sure.

For what it's worth, I want Obsidian to make a Boogie Nights RPG. Golden Age of Porn stuff would be an interesting and untapped aesthetic for games. But I wouldn't even know how to approach it from a game design perspective. Are you a young up and coming actor? Or the hotshot director? The outraged moral campaigner?

I was bummed, I couldn't figure out how to defeat or sneak past or skirt my way through dozens of double-bladed Ubese warriors milling about the hidden base of Visquis just beyond the labyrinth of tunnels under Jekk' Jekk Tarr on Nar Shaddaa with only red-headed tight-assed Mira and her meager combat skills. Seemed hopeless, and then I was like, you know what, I don't have to look online, I can take a look, in a book, just like Reading Rainbow taught me.

I am not a fan of mass killings in games either. That is a weird thing to be a fan of too.

I did not say anything about nudity being wrong. I said it is weird to install a mod to make it happen. In Bethesda games it seems even stranger, since they have zero sexuality in them. It is like those nude news channels. That is a weird way to get your news.

Anyways, there is nothing wrong with being weird you weirdos. Just admit it and enjoy yourself. :p

I remember Dragon Age had a nude mod that really improved the skin textures of characters while they were dressed. When Return to Ostagar came out and you found the naked remains of the prince, that made for an interesting scene for anyone who had completly forgotten what a nude mod does :p

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

Just to be clear you only use the nudity mods when you having sex which is normal ?

But I was asking you specifically because I do really consider you a reasonable person based on your life experiences, your family and where you live  and if you gave me a really good reason why adult mods were wrong it would be relevant

But all Bethesda games have Romance and places like Brothels or there are hookers I'm sure ?

I completed my first star puzzle in The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna.  The funny thing is that I had ideas in my head for how to complete 2 star puzzles, one I felt really confident about and one I was fairly unsure about, and the one I managed to solve was the one I was unsure about, while I couldn't solve the one I felt confident about.  Still, it feels good to solve a star puzzle, any star puzzle, as those tend to be the most fiendishly difficult puzzles in the game, at least that's how it was in the base game.

Still more WoW and FM. Interesting how insults change, of late I've been told variations on a theme that I am homosexual, like to have sex with Jews and am autistic. The last one is pretty new, hm.

Some day PvPers will get morale and not crap their pants at the first set back - in some BGs you can't win after a point, but these people just have a quick easy plan and then no back up one, is disappointing.

Have Dreamfall ep 3 to play, though I am feeling dissuaded by people from doing that, heh.

Nudity is fine, but Hail Hydra and similar mods breaks verisimilitude.

Why? The attire is not unrealistic or is it ?
