What are you playing now?

Recommended Posts

Did some Act of Aggression skirmish. Not bad so far- reminds me quite a lot of the old Command & Conquer. I am not much a fan of skirmish, though, so I'll hope the full release is not too far away...

Since I finally bought a PS4, I decided to Cristen it with DA Inquisition. I've wanted to play for a while, but I refuse to install EA's crapware along with it on my PC. (Note: EA pulling their games off of Steam and making their own delivery platform is a pet peeve of mine. It's a move that Microsoft would have made in the 1990's and, EA is not Microsoft, and we're almost two decades past software company tantrums. EA, Facebook and Google seem to be the biggest offenders in clinging to asinine behavior.)

Anyway, bought the PS4 because I haven't owned a console since the first XBox and I've been looking for a slot loading Blu-Ray player for a while. Hard to touch one under $200, so I went the extra dollar for an AMD Jaguar machine. I like it so far, except... Exactly who's idea was it to ask players to aim with an analog stick? Someone punch him or her. My attempt to play through The Last of Us ended when I encountered that aberration in game design. I mean, there's a touchpad on the controller for pete's sake!

Everyone aims using the analog stick. You're the weird one. So punch yourself.

I mean, I'm about as bad aiming in an FPS with an analogue stick as I am with a touchpad...I'll never play a shooter on a console because of how uniquely, truly terrifyingly awful I am at using an analogue stick for aiming. Give me a mouse or I ain't playing. :p

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

I ran across an article where the above statement was found in a release tarball. LOL! Who does something like this? Predictably, this oddity was found when the article's author tried to build said tarball and the compiler promptly went into cardiac arrest. If you're not a developer, imagine telling someone the literal meaning of up is "not down". Such nonsense makes computers, and developers... angry.

I bought Victor Vran recently and have been playing that. Excellent little action RPG! It reminds me a lot of the Van Helsing games (which I also own), but with a few new twists. The maps now all have a few different challenges. They're not mandatory in any way, but they're mostly kind of fun (kill 80 enemies within 360 seconds, kill 50 enemies without taking damage, kill 40 enemies using only melee, etc). All maps so far seem to have secrets to find too, and they have been a lot of fun to try to find.

Other than that, it's a solid action RPG. Lots of loot, lots of enemies, lots of bosses. Not so much story or dialogue or decisions to make.

Just finished my playthrough of The Order: 1886. It wasn't really that bad of a game. I see people come up with stupid things like 'There are no werewolves in the game!'. I mean did Ready at Dawn promise fans that game would include specific amount of werewolves?! The game is a solid 7/10 in my book.

I'm not getting much time to play anything this week because TI5 is on and I'll hate myself forever if I miss a Techies game (there have been a handful already!), but I sneak in a bit of game time here and there.  In The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna I've finished all the basic puzzles in 2 of the 4 hub areas, but I've yet to complete any star puzzles.  I have some ideas floating about in my head for 2 of the star puzzles (I'm pretty convinced I've solved one of them, I just need to physically test my theory out) so I'll give those a shot before moving on to the 3rd hub area.  Cradle is still weird and interesting, though the voice acting for the main character is starting to wear on me.  The voice acting for Ida and Tabaha are passable, but voice acting for the main character, Enebish, is downright cringeworthy.  Beyond that, I'm not a big fan of the cube tossing mini-games, at least the 2 I've played so far.  Still, the game is holding my interest and I look forward to seeing more of the story unfold.

I'm just randomly running around Skyrim, taking on any quests I stumble across.  It seems to be the only way to play this game.

It took +255 mods and playing in first person to finally enjoy that game but now years later I finally do.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

i just finished the serial killer quest in witcher 3. i can only imagine how it would have gone if i had not done or done differently certain other quests before it. never a dull moment in this game

The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder.

Dissapoint with Sacred 2 ending.

You press a button and something awesome happens. Problem is there is only one button to press. It has nothing on Mass Effect 3 and Desu Ex.

Then again those games didn't allow you to play with a girl in bikini and string wielding big sword.

Kinda wanna replay it now.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

255 mods?

Funny picture

But Orog is obviously using hyperbole to make his point that you need to  use Mods to make Skyrim enjoyable and or playable

4) - 255) Nothin' but Hentai

Yes I agree, I'm not saying you need hundreds of mods to make Skyrim, Orog is saying that I believe ...I would typically use 20-30 and about 10 adult mods but most are just more about cosmetic changes and enhancing whats already there

I'm not making hyperbole, 255 modules is the maximum that you can have for Skyrim because of some stupid reason there's a limit. But since retextures don't have a module you can add those. So yeah, i'm using more than 255 mods.

Do body mods that have nudity count? There are a lot of good armor mods that have dependencies on those.

Yes that would be considered Adult mods ...its funny how some   people think adult mods are "weird " or " depraved "  and I have never understood that view

So take F:NV, here you have a guy crossing this post-apocalyptic world inhabited by mutants and Death Claws where he basically kills and loots from anyone he encounters. And finally  he gets to New Vegas which is this bastion of civilization ....the reality of living in such a world would be quite depressing to most people so from a RP perspective my character always goes large which translates to visiting the brothel and letting off steam. And of course I expect full nudity and all the various activities that some of these adult mod offers ...its normal to me  especially considering the reality of the world the protagonist lives in  :dancing:
